Frondeigen/Franadega is located above Toblach/Dobbiaco with a beautiful view of the village and the Dolomites.
Start by the Rosskopf / Monte Cavallo mountain station in direction biotope Kastellacke, on the hike number 19. By the biotope on the right side on the circular trail to the antenna station. Return on the forest road, passing the mountain hut Furlhütte, to the mountain station.
A hike for hot summer days through shady forests with an amazing view from the Ottohöhe onto Afers valley and Brixen/Bressanone.
This family hike is above all something special for animal lovers, as it leads directly next to the Altschluderbach animal park and also offers the opportunity to visit it directly. Native animal species such as deer, wild boar, roe deer, native birds and the like are kept there, but because of the large area and the location in the forest, they enjoy complete freedom.

Descend from Rosskopf / Monte Cavallo at Sterzing / Vipiteno to Gossensass / Colle Isarco. By the Rosskopf mountain station on the right followin the trail no. 19 and 19A in direction Vallming Almen mountain huts. By the Vallming alpine village the forest road on the right side along and after a while on the left on trail no. 19A to the valley bottom. Here on the promenade to Gossensass (return to Sterzing with public bus on weekdays).

A hike to a beautiful pasture beneath the Geisler Mountains. You can stop by to eat at the alpine hut Geisler Alm which offers also a playground for children.
Experience an exciting hike from St. Anton in Innerpflersch (1215 m) up to the idyllic Allrisalm (1534 m). The trail first takes you southwards over a wide bridge in the direction of the hamlet of Stein and then branches off on a pleasant prepared winter path and historic footpaths through the idyllic forest slopes. After about an hour, you will reach the Allrisalm, where you can enjoy a warm drink and delicious food while enjoying the marvellous view. The descent takes you back the same way - either on foot in around 45 minutes or on a sledge for even more fun!
The hike is also ideal for families.

From Rosskopf / Monte Cavallo at Sterzing / Vipiteno to the Telfes mountain huts. Starting by the Rosskopf mountain station in direction Ochsenalm mountain hut, following the Ridnauner Höhenweg trail. By the mountain hut Ochsenalm turn left and descend to the next mountain hut Freundalm. Afterwards following the trail to Obertelfes, passing by the Witwenbrünnl spring (from here bus connection to Sterzing on weekdays.
An easy and varied hike which leads past the locality where Geodes of Teis are found and past the churches of St. Valentin and St. Jakob. Along the way, there is one restaurant where you can eat.
Not only the breathtaking view and the cult site “Lutheran Church”, but also the biodiversity of the area Kofelwiese meadows render this hike special.
Comfortable hike to the beautiful alpine village Vallming at Rosskopf / Monte Cavallo at Sterzing / Vipiteno. Start by the Rosskopf mountain station following trail no. 19 until the biotop "Kastellacke" Here turn left on trail no. 19A and descend to the alpine village by the leisure mountain.

From the Ridnauntal valley exit (1400 m) always follow the signs "Stadlalm" and the mark 28 a paved trail, first in the area of the ore Lazzach valley to the clearing turn right and continue along a wide path (M 28 A) and continue straight to the Stadlalm (about 1620 m, just under 1:00 hrs). Descent as ascent.

By the Rosskpof mountain station following on the right trail no. 19 until the weather cross. Following the signs to the road and along the road to the little chapel. Take here the trail on the right and follow the serpentines to Vipiteno.
The Gottschalk Trail begins in the idyllic hamlet of Steckholz and leads you along a well-maintained forest path to hiking trail 19A. This winds through a beautiful landscape and ends in the idyllic alpine village of Vallming. Along the way, you can enjoy marvellous views of the surrounding nature. Once you reach your destination, the Vallming Alm invites you to stop for a cosy break where you can recharge your batteries with traditional dishes. The trail is perfect for a relaxing hike in the middle of unspoilt nature and is ideal for nature lovers looking for peace and relaxation. You have the option of continuing on to Ladurns or returning the same way.
The Marchkinkele/Cornetto di Confine offers a beautiful view over the Pustertal /Val Pusteria valley and the Dolomites. The Marchhütte/Rifugio March hut is located just below the summit.
