We are a small restaurant focusing on the essentials. Quality is our number one priority. We work with produce that has been grown by farmers putting all their heart and passion in their work. Our personal contact with the farmers enable us to conjure up delicious, modern and sustainable meals.

After dinner (typical South Tyrolean cuisine), there's plenty of choice of homemade cakes. Charming restaurant surrounded by the natural beauty of the “Pustertaler Sonnenstraße”: Stylish ambience, South Tyrolean farmhouse parlors, large veranda in Tyrolean century style, piano bar with fireplace, idyllic terrace and rustic wine cellar with river stones and old wood with over 500 fine wines. Chef Karl Baumgartner cooks, depending on the seasonal market supply, creative regional dishes but also an italian-mediterranean cuisine. The service of Siegfried and Mary is professional and yet familiar. The experienced team places great emphasis on a personal and warm relationship with the guests, a devise by which the Baumgartner family works for over 25 years. Awards: 1 Michelin Star, 2 awards 16 points Gault & Millau, well rated in "Guida del Gambero Rosso", "Guida de l'espresso" and many other restaurant guides!

In the beginnings a horse stable, the original vault from the 17 century was restored and conected with modern architectur. Open since 04.05.01 the area is daily open from 08.00 to 24.00. The kitchen is open from 12.00 to 14.00 and in the evening from 17.30 to 23.00.

The Berggasthof Badl is situated at an altitude of 1700 meters a.s.l. in a beautiful place surrounded by the pristine nature of the park Rieserferner. It is known since the last century as a health resort, thanks to its curative mineral water. It is still an oasis of relaxation and regeneration to rebalance both, the body and the mind. All the rooms are equipped with natural wood and are plain yet very comfortable. The winter garden is also available for our guests, where you can enjoy the sun all the year round, and the stube, ideal for a romantic dinner and also for private parties or conferences.
