Hike on the Plose mountain overlooking Brixen/Bressanone, with views from three spectacular peaks.
This section of the Keschtnweg leads from Brixen/Bressanone through noble chestnut groves to the artist’s town of Klausen/Chiusa. Marvel at the stunning views from the scenic path and the characteristic cultural landscape of the Eisacktal Valley.
This stunningly beautiful trail takes you through the northernmost vineyards of the Eisacktal Valley, with a refreshment stop at a wine estate or at the Augustinian Monastery wine cellars in Neustift/Novacella.

The Dolomiten Panoramaweg Trail on the Plose offers magnificent views of the western Dolomites.
The Sr. Cyrilus path leads from Bressanone through the Europa Meditation Path to St. Cyril's Chapel. 1238 this church was first mentioned. 1654 the Romanesque nave was extended with a choir. The interior is baroque today in large part, but there are also some medieval frescoes preserved. The Europa Meditation Path was established in 1993. The eight reflection points are dedicated to Christian Europe and his saints.
The starting point for the vineyard trail is in the center of Bressanone/Brixen (refreshments available) at the Adlerbrücke. Follow trail no. 1 through the Stufels district, first via Kranebitt (refreshments available) up to Elvas (refreshments available). Here continue through the Mooswald forest to the Raiermoos biotope and on trail no. 6 via Hochrain to the Strasserhof farm (refreshments available in autumn). Continue on trail no. 4 between vineyards and the typical dry stone walls down to the well-known Neustift monastery (refreshments available). From here head south on trail no. 16 back to Bressanone/Brixen. There is no shortage of places to stop along the way, especially in the fall it is charming to visit one of the rustic Buschenschänke.
The vineyard path is easy to walk and also brisk, much worth seeing transforms this hike, but without further ado into a day trip. Already at the starting point, the narrow medieval streets of Stufels are fascinating. Once you have conquered the first meters of altitude, you can enjoy a magnificent view over the Bressanone basin from the Wetterkreuz near Elvas. Nature lovers will be delighted by the diversity of the Raiermoos biotope, as well as the centuries-old vineyards on the slopes above Neustift. Wines from these same vineyards can also be tasted directly at the Neustift monastery before heading back towards Brixen.
The Alps of Villanders are one of the lesser known winter sports areas in South Tyrol.
At the cabin-railway mountain terminal called Valcroce - Kreuztal (2,050 metres), take the high road (path # 30) in a northerly direction, along the tree-growing limit to the Ochsenalm (2,085 metres, snack bar). Then ascend on foot path # 6 to the Plosescharte and along the ridge to the Leonhard Cross. Walk along a small path on the ridge to the telegraph Plose summit (2,486 metres, panoramic views) and from there in a southerly direction to the Plose Hut (2,446 metres, snack bar). Descend on path # 7 to Kreuztal.
Follow the Plosestraße road to the Finktal Valley, then turn right uphill along trail no. 7), This leads partly over the Kreuztal meadows (used as ski slopes in winter). Continue to the east via trail no. 17, known as the "Woody Walk", then to the right descending to the Skihütte mountain restaurant. Return briefly to the paved street, then turn to the left (trail no. 8) on to the forest trail before a last brief stretch on the paved road leading down to the mountain village of Plancios/Palmschoss.

Starting from the center of Brixen/Bressanone, this leisurely hike follows the river and ascends to the Karlspromenade trail above the town. From the Sanctuary of Maria am Sand it leads back through Kranebitt to the old quarter of Stufels/Stufles.
The sunny Panoramic Trail on the south-facing side of Lüsen/Luson offers unusual perspectives of the valley and magnificent panoramic views.
Starting at the Plose gondola lift mountain station, follow the Lorggenring trail along the WoodyWalk before it branches off at a wide viewing platform. Stop for a minute and enjoy the view of the Dolomites before continuing into a dense woodland. Along the way, hikers learn about the Lorggen, ancient guardians of the forest and its inhabitants. From the Pfannspitz gondola lift valley station, you can quickly arrive at an elevation of 2,545 m. The view of the spectacular Geißler peaks and the surrounding mountains is absolutely phenomenal! Follow the trail along the ridge to the Plosehütte shelter, from where you can return to Kreuztal at the Plose gondola lift mountain station along trails no. 7 and then no. 3. This part of the circuit offers a magnificent panorama of the Brixen basin. The Lorggenring Hiking Circuit is also accessible to families with children, offering hikers of all ages a unique hiking experience on the slopes of the Plose.
Explore the upper part of our beautiful village Barbian/Barbiano. The tour begins in the middle of Barbiano, on the village place near the church. We go to the "Wasserfallweg" at the end of Barbian/Barbiano. There we pass the farm called "Lukas" and on the trail 6A we arrive at a saw mill. From that point we can see to streets, one goes ahead and the other pass on the right direction. We take the second one and go right until we come to the "Wieserhof". There we have to go right and take the trail nr. 3 until we pass the information sign with "Barbian" on it. Our hike ends with the trail nr. 11, which brings us back to Barbian/Barbiano.
Start from the village centre and take path 3, walking by Gosternhof towards Ponte Gardena. From there, continue on the bike path to Colma. You will reach the Reatlhof just before the village on path 8A. Follow trail 5 from Colma to Barbiano, where you will talke path 11A and 11B for a quick detour to the Unteraichnerhof. The excursion can be carried out in both directions form Ponte Gardena.
The village Spiluck above Brixen is known for its numerous hiking trails and lonely peaks especially in Summer. In Winter you find Spiluck as a cozy place for a trip in the snow. Spiluck offers snowy forests with beautiful mountain scenery. Whether by toboggan or on foot, the toboggan run in Spiluck guarantees a great day out. Especially in the early morning the sun shines through the forest and until midday it warms not only the body but also the mind.
This idyllic winter hike starts at the hikers' parking lot at the end of Spiluck Street. From the parking lot above the Gostnerhof Inn, you start along trail no. 2 through the forest. You will immediately notice that the winter hiking trail is also wonderfully suitable for a toboggan run due to its perfectly maintained condition. Again and again you catch fantastic views of the Plose, the Geisler peaks and even the Langkofel and Plattkofel peaks. After about one and a half to two hours you reach the end of the trail below the Scheibenberg mountain, where the peak of the Karspitz towers above the woods in its white dress.
After a well-deserved break with your own snack, you can look forward to an exciting but above all rewarding descent on the toboggan. Always leisurely downhill, but also with faster sections, nothing stands in the way of fun on the toboggan. Of course, you can also walk back to the starting point. Directly at the parking lot, the Gostnerhof Inn invites you to stop and reward yourself with a hot tea, a typical “Marende” or lunch. There are other places to stop in the village center of Spiluck.
From the village place near the church we have to go to the end of the village, in direction to Saubach/St. Ingenuino. At the last house of the village (Haus Urban), on the right side, begins the "Wasserfallweg". We contnue this trail until we cross a street. We go on this street until the next curve and branch off to the left and there is another trail, which pass on the lower waterfall (duration ca. 1 hour).
The Archeopfad Trail leads to the old Roman tower in Stufels/Stufles, the historical quarter in Brixen/Bressanone. From up there, a wonderful view opens out on the “Land an der Etsch” (the lands of the River Etsch), as this southern part of Tyrol was once known. The trail, retracing the old Roman paths, leads to historical monuments and ancient places of worship.
This hike offers both novel as well as tried and tested attractions even for seasoned visitors to South Tyrol.
This contemplative cultural/historical hiking circuit on the Pfeffersberg mountain spans the seven churches above Brixen/Bressanone, testifying to the deep Christian beliefs of the local population. On the third Sunday of September, the annual pilgrimage is held in the church district of Brixen, known as the “Seven Church Procession”.
We start from the village place near the church. Then we go to the Raiffeisenkassa, in north direction. At this point it starts the hiking trail nr. 3 - 11. The first part of this trail is an asphaltic road. We go at the end of this road and there beginns an olt stone-flagged trail.
Then we continue on an old, paved path, cross the next asphalt road and walk into the forest. About the beautifully landscaped trail with Mark. 11 we get to the sports zone and finally to a forest path. Here begin a forest road that pass on the Dreikirchen/Trechiese. For the return we choose first the trail in the forest nr. 6. After we go ahead on the trail nr. 3 ("Feistegg") until the "Wieserhof". He is located on the street (nr.6a). We go ahead on the street until a branch. Here we have to change to the "Wasserfallweg", that lead us back to the village.
The spectacular Adolf-Munkelweg Trail in the Puez-Geisler Nature Park runs beneath the north face of the majestic Geisler Group at the closed end of the Villnösstal Valley. Passing through a stone pine forest and crossing Alpine rose fields, the trail leads to welcoming mountain huts ideal for a rest stop.
The scenic, long-distance hike through the western Dolomites runs from Brixen/Bressanone in the Eisacktal Valley to Feltre in the Province of Belluno.

The hike to the Brixner Hütte (2,282 m) in the Pfunderer Mountains is well suited to families and serves as a starting point for excursions to the Wilde Kreuzspitze summit and the Wilde See lake.
