During a guided tour of our winery in St. Martin, many exciting and interesting things await you. We will tell you passionately about the harvest, winemaking and wine and let you share in our art of winemaking. During a tour of our vineyards, you can taste our wines and finally visit our barrique storage.

The winegrowing tradition at Neustift goes back centuries. To find out what has remained of this tradition, what winegrowing in the abbey’s vineyards involves today and the philosophy on which it is based, come on a vineyard tour. We’ll not only tell you all about Neustift winegrowing but also serve you its products. The tour of the vineyards together with the following wine tasting takes about 90 minutes in all. Every Wednesday we meet us in the farm of the Schildhof Obergereuth. Together we prepare South Tyrolean bread with spices and wheat from our farm. While the dough is rising and resting, we visit the wheat field and our mill from 1831. The bread and three recipes are taken home. While the bread is baking in the oven, we dedicate ourselves to lunch: a generous and varied platter of cheeses from the organic cheese dairies Aignerhof and Schupferhof, various types of bread from our farm and our medlar jelly. From St. Martin, the hike leads along a wide track past the alpine pasture towards Vigiljoch. We leave this and continue through a beautiful spruce forest to Mahlbach. We walk along the Alpenrosenweg trail to the Weiler Aschbach, which lies high above the Vinschgau Valley and offers a magnificent view. After a refreshment stop, we take the Aschbach cable car down into the valley and return to Lana by public transport. Walking time: 2,5 hours Altitude difference: 250 m Easy hike

Plant market: We exchange cuttings, tubers, bulbs, herbs, seeds, indoor and garden plants.... Everyone is welcome to bring something for their own use. The beekeepers' association presents its bee showcase and invites you to taste! Two secondary school pupils present their project. The sharpening of knives and scissors is offered!

The focus of this special event at the Steinegg Museum is the ancient and valuable knowledge around the power of plants & herbs. During a short tour of the museum, visitors get to know the rooms of our ancestors, where knowledge about herbs was also practised. The lovingly furnished rooms, chambers and workrooms faithfully reflect the life of our ancestors. Afterwards, our instructor Tanja Rassler, practitioner of new alternative healing methods according to Gottfried Hochgruber, will introduce you to the secrets of the power of herbs. The focus will be on spring flowers with their various uses and healing powers - in keeping with the motto: "Spring is always the beginning of something new". A workshop will show how to make a carrot oil that prevents sunburn from the inside and that participants can also take home with them. From 23 to 26 May 2024, the new schenna e.motion event will be all about electric mobility and enjoyment. In addition to excursions with electric vehicles to the most beautiful places in South Tyrol, there will be a special supporting programme with an e-test and safety day in Bolzano, a tour of an e-plant, high-class enjoyment evenings and much more.

Experience the farm with all your senses! Therefore the guide will take you from from the village to the specific farm. There will be tastings, interesting farm tours and the presentation of farm work.

The Faslar mountain farm is located above the picturesque village of Stelvio. Here, the Haas family, consisting of young farmers, passionately manages their organic goat farm with around 60 German goats. A pleasant hike leads from Gamagoi through the mountain village of Stelvio, where it is said that even chickens need crampons due to the steep terrain. But where art, culture and tradition also come together in a very original way. Once at the Faslarhof farm, the Haas family will give you an insight into their daily life in the mountains and let you taste some of their farm produce. Well fortified, we return to Prato together with our hiking guide Sigrid via the historical mining-themed 'Archaikweg' trail. After the descent, the local organic dairy in the village opens its doors to participants, who can take a brief look at the milk processing centre, where fresh hay milk is carefully processed into cheese. The lake only lasts a couple of weeks, sinking into the soil as quickly as it has appeared. ONLY IN GERMAN OR ITALIAN How is honey made, how is a bee colony organised and why are these busy insects that never seem to get tired so important for us? This guided tour into the world of bees and beekeepers provides the answers to questions like these and more. Expert Christian Kessler from the Partschins Beekeeping Association give an overview of the lives of these hard-working little pollinators, show how they work in the open beehive and the amazing social behaviour of bees, and explain how honey gets from the flower to a jar with the “Made in South Tyrol” brand label on it. Equipped with the right protective clothing, participants can marvel at and literally get to grips with the inner life of the bee hive at close quarters. The guided tour also explains the role that the beekeeper plays, what exactly he does and how his activities must be strictly aligned to the course of the bees’ year. Afterwards, participants can discover the outstanding quality of South Tyrolean honey for themselves by tasting various types of honey.

The ruins were once a customs post and hunting seat, as well as the backdrop for the German Peasant’s war in 1526 and the Tyrolean Rebellion of 1809. Our farmer will guide you through their fields, explains you about the healthy ingredients, the production area and about all sorts and brands of the South Tyrolean apple. Gain insight into the secrets of the apple farmers - from the latest technology of today and the gnarled giants of the past. Afterwards, you can taste for yourself.

Bread baking at the Museum: From 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. there will be a demonstration of how bread was baked according to a traditional Passeiertal Valley recipes. Visitors can watch our expert Museum bakers at work as they answer your questions and happily trade tips with those in the know. Participation with tasting and mini-guided tour is included in the admission price.

Every Thursday: Would you like to learn something about a very old craft? The wood turner Fritz Unterkalmsteiner present and show you all about this craft. Duration: ca 20 minutes

Under the aspect of "animal welfare," Anneliese and Andreas produce the products of Pfitscher Gaumenfreuden. Join us on an exciting discovery journey to the "Reichmessnerhof" in St. Jakob in Pfitsch. See how chickens, pigs, and cattle live in their free-range enclosures. During a tasting, you can enjoy the various products. What actually is a star, how is it formed, why does it shine, why and how does it die? Or is it not a star at all but a planet? What are galaxies and can we see them? What is it about our home galaxy, the Milky Way? And how big and how far away are the stars we see with the naked eye? Where do we find our star sign, where the most important constellations? An answer to these and many other questions can be found on a extraordinary night hike with the passionate amateur astronomer and president of the "Max Valier" association Steffi Wolters. The short hike leads from the village centre of Steinegg / Collepietra over the Pstosserbühl to the roof terrace of the Hotel Steineggerhof. There the participants will dive into the depths of the universe. The Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park also has a heart, and that is called Braies Lake. The Braies Lake is located in an untouched rock basin and is overlooked by the majestic Seekofel, it is also considered the most beautiful lake in the Dolomites. To see it all, a walk of one and a half hours on the easy circular path is enough. For our spring special and autumn special, we offer you the opportunity to book a seat on the bus that will take you directly to Braies Lake. Here you will have the opportunity to hike and stroll on your own for a few hours before returning to San Vigilio.
