The hay baths in Fiè allo Sciliar have been practiced since 1903. During this guided tour, we will tell you about the culture and the healing effect of the hay bath. The hay bath originated from a tradition of the farmers who took their night's lodging in the hay barn during haymaking and noticed that after a night in the hay the tiredness of the previous day was blown away. Those who spend their wellness holidays around the Alpe di Siusi can relax in the hay according to an old tradition. The medicinal herbs such as thyme, arnica, cinquefoil and gentian unfold their full effect when you sweat. The grass for the hay bath, interspersed with the many medicinal herbs, is mown exclusively on unfertilised meadows, early in the morning or late in the evening, in order to preserve all the essential essences.

Unforgettable hike on the bright side of Barbian. We guide you through the colorfulness of fall past vineyards, fruit trees and chestnut trees. Meeting point at 10am at the Information Office Barbian. Hiking time: 3,5 hours, stop at the restaurant "Oberweger/Kollmsnn". Return at 4pm, easy to medium hike, good footwear, rain shelter. Discover the story of the South Tyrolean apple in Merano! This apple tour of Merano's fruit cooperative CAFA will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about our local fruit. After a short introductory film, you can explore the entire cooperative in the company of our apple expert Franz and follow the storage, sorting, packaging and shipping of the South Tyrolean apple. Our apple expert will let you in on all kinds of secrets about our apples' goodness, the varieties and how best to store them at home. To round off the tour there is a brief apple tasting session. Registration required: Until Monday at 4 PM online or at the Tourist Association Marling. The event takes place in German.

First there is a visit to the quaint little sheep's wool museum, followed by a round of handicrafts: we felt little figures to take home - and Helene has a lot to tell, about past and present.

The Radlsee refuge is located high above the Eisack Valley on the legendary Radlsee lake in the basin between the Königangerspitze and Hundskopf peaks. On the way, we learn a lot about alpine herbs, mountain farming and the formation of the Alps and Dolomites. The moderately difficult hike is worthwhile with its breathtaking mountain panorama and relaxing tranquillity on the mountain. Mountain hike in the south of South Tyrol - Weißhorn (2,317 m) By coach, we travel through the Eggental valley over the Lavazè Pass towards Passo Oclini (1,990 m). The hike leads through grassy slopes and mountain pine fields, later becoming a bit more demanding but still manageable for experienced hikers, up to the summit of the Weißhorn (2,317 m). From the top, an almost endless panorama unfolds, along with a breathtaking view into the famous Bletterbach canyon. After a short summit break, we descend to the Gurndinalm (1,954 m) for a lunch break. After lunch, we continue down to Oberradein (1,550 m), where the bus will be waiting for the return journey.

An exciting nature experience for all interested visitors of the nature park, who - within the framework of this initiative - will have the opportunity to observe marmots accompanied by their young in their natural habitat. Accompanied by a wildlife ecologist, participants will deepen their awareness of the park’s fauna, flora, and alpine ecosystems, while gaining fascinating insights into the behavior and lifestyle of marmots. Short circular walk (slightly uphill) of approx. 50 min. on asphalt or gravel road to the Kleinmarer farm. We visit the farm with stable, animals and garden. An afternoon dedicated to apples in the company of the ‘sommelier of apples'. In the orchard he tells how this fruit is cultivated and what characteristics differentiate the different varieties. Princesses, citizens, workers, farmers, artists, musicians – who were the women who lived in Merano and helped shape the city over the centuries? How did they live? What stories can be told about these women? In collaboration with the Women’s Museum, we take a women's and gender history walk through Merano’s past, from the Middle Ages to its heyday as a spa town. In October, another walk will take place, focusing on women’s lives in the 20th century.
