The tour begins in the grain store of Steinhaus, the former warehouse of the mining industry. Afterwards, our guides will lead you through the historic centre of Steinhaus, a unique sight in South Tyrol that was created thanks to the mining industry. The striking red houses, such as the factor house, the Gassegg residence and the church Maria Loreto, as well as the smelting hut are explained. A walk through the centuries old history of the "Ahrner Handel".

With our hiking guide Helmuth we start at the village square in Laion and hike over the Walther from the Vogelweide trail towards Novale. We visit some stations about its history and make a short detour to the birthplace of the famous Minnesinger. Arriving at the Castle Forte, we visit the former home of Oswald von Wolkenstein, one of the most impressive castle complexes in South Tyrol. More than 60 vintage tractors, including 40 "Porsche-Diesel" tractors and 5 Porsche-Diesel Master tractors from various years of construction, can be viewed in the tractor museum. The oldest piece in the collection is a "Balilla" tractor dating from 1929. An experience for young and old! Please note: the guided tour is only available in German and Italian!

Gala, Kanzi, Fuji, Red Delicious – these illustrious names represent four of the total of 18 varieties of apple that flourish in the sunny orchards tended by South Tyrol's farmers. Crisp, juicy and fresh, famed as a vitamin bomb and popular well beyond the borders of the region, there is plenty to learn about the South Tyrolean apple. Did you know, for example, that the apple originally came from Kazakhstan? Or that one in three of all organic apples harvested in Europe comes from South Tyrol? Together with apple grower Christine we set out on a journey of discovery through the local apple orchards. Our charming and knowledgeable guide shares plenty of interesting and curious facts about the apple growing industry in South Tyrol, about organic and integrated cultivation, the different varieties, the ingenious methods of naturally-derived plant protection and the protected designation of geographical origin. During the subsequent tasting of the different apple varieties participants can enjoy talking shop about the apples’ flavours and textures and their personal favourites. There will also be plenty of time to ask questions of our expert.

Within one hour you will get to know the most interesting Hofer objects and some unknown history. The discovery tour leads mainly through the "Heroes & Hofer" trail, but an overview of the entire museum is also available on request. The guided tour is only available in German.

Since the time of the Romans, wine has been cultivated on the sunny slopes of the Wipptal. Today, 2000 years later, there are once again some pioneers who utilize the milder climate for viticulture. Peter Faistnauer is one of them; he operates the first winery in the Wipptal. Since 2015, he has been cultivating the white wine variety Solaris. After visiting the vineyards, the special wine will be tasted in the old barn. Dogs are not allowed. It is not possible to navigate the paths with a stroller, and the entire tour is not wheelchair accessible. The apple tours in Appiano with our expert Hans, offer a unique opportunity to get to know the fascinating world of apple growing and processing. Appiano is proud of its rich apple tradition and invites visitors to learn more about this popular fruit growing. During the apple tours you will have the opportunity to dive directly into the apple orchards and learn from Hans everything about the cultivation, care and harvesting of apples. You will be amazed at how much knowledge and care is behind each apple.

Fresh mountain air, plenty of free range and GMO-free feeding ensure that the pigs at the Obertimpflerhof farm in Vöran feel completely at ease. ‘That's the secret to the outstanding quality of our meat,’ says farmer Franz with conviction. This is processed into delicious bacon and sausage products using traditional methods on the farm. History, Traditions and Wine Culture During this personal tour with wine connoisseur and host Walter, you'll gain fascinating insights into the history and traditions of winemaking in the Burggrafenamt region. As the name suggests, this visit is an experience for all the senses, with many varied highlights to explore at the Rochelehof adventure cellar. The Stelvio National Park is a high mountain park. During a guided tour of the naturatrafoi Visitor Centre, you can immerse yourself directly in the extreme climatic conditions of high altitudes. What tricks do the animals and plants use to survive the freezing nights, the nine months of winter temperatures, the strong sunlight and also the landslides? After 1945, many bunkers remained operational during the "Cold War" until they were decommissioned in the 1990s and transferred to the Province of South Tyrol. Some of these defensive structures hold historical significance, offering unique architectural insights today. The bunker at Töll was acquired by the municipalities of Algund and Marling and has been made accessible for guided visits. This place of worship, located at the top of a hill, is the only one in Tyrol dedicated to Saint Verena. It was first mentioned in official documents in the 13th century. The church overlooks the northern side of the Eisack Valley, offering an extraordinary view of the Sciliar massif.
