A special event for all allergy and hay fever sufferers! As the pollen count in the air rises, many allergy sufferers begin to sense problems with their respiratory tracts. So it's time for a trip to the Climate gallery! The ideal hygienic conditions of the air there can help relieve allergy-related and other breathing problems. On two Saturdays in May, the South Tyrol Mining Museum will be inviting all those suffering from pollen allergies to enjoy a free taster visit to the Climate gallery. The mine railway will bring guests into the gallery where they can stay and relax for 1.5 hours, enjoying clean, pollen-free air.

Wine and art are playing a very important role at the Eberlehof winery. After visiting the vineyards, there’s a tour through the winery, where you can have a peek at the wine cellar and the wine production process. The exhibition offers a wide range of art works, showcasing various approaches and different materials. Bees are irreplaceable in our ecosystem and agriculture. Simply put: they are necessary for the survival of us humans. As the third most important "farm" animal (after cattle and pigs), bees pollinate 80% of our crops. Curious visitors can learn this and other interesting facts during a guided tour by an experienced beekeeper, including honey tasting, at the Birkenbrunn hotel. Costs: €07.00

To find out what has remained of this tradition, what winegrowing in the abbey’s vineyards involves today and the philosophy on which it is based, come on a vineyard tour. We’ll not only tell you all about Neustift winegrowing but also serve you its products. The tour of the vineyards together with the following wine tasting takes about 90 minutes in all. And lasts for longer. Participation in the vineyard tour is only possible with prior registration. Discover Lana - welcome tour. Every Monday, guests are welcomed in front of the information office in Lana, the weekly programme is presented followed by a tour of the historic centre of Lana. You will receive useful information about the holiday region of Lana (countryside and people, hiking, excursions, visits to restaurants, fruit and wine growing, etc.) and learn about interesting monuments from eight centuries. Christoph Gufler, who has published numerous books on "South Tyrolean regional studies", will be happy to answer your questions, starting at the Lana information office, 10.00 am.

Marc-Alexandre Dumoulin is Villa Arnica's resident artist for 2024. With his painting he is constantly searching for the incomprehensible, and the surface of the canvas is for him a kind of building site where, as he digs deeper and deeper, the image emerges. Dumoulin's paintings, drawings and etchings are thoughts that reveal their complexity through the sensual connection of colours, themes and formats. Dumoulin studied painting at Canada's Concordia University in Montreal and at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design in London. He holds a doctorate from the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, where he lives and works. The artist will be interviewed by Hannes Egger. (In German)

Guided Bike Tour: Peter Mitterhofer Tour (34 km, 800 m elevation gain) Embark on the impressive Peter Mitterhofer Tour, covering 34 kilometers with an elevation gain of 800 meters. This guided bike tour meanders through picturesque villages, offering not just a sporting adventure but also cultural and culinary highlights. Our journey begins in Algund, where an experienced bike guide leads us through a panoramic landscape to Töll and the K&K Museum of Bad Egart. Continuing along the Apple Road, amidst blooming orchards, we reach Naturno and follow the bike path to Rabland, where the Typewriter Museum awaits. The Museum has over 2000 typewriters, making it one of the world's largest collections. The next leg involves a challenging ascent to the "Dursterhof" hut, rewarding us with a delightful lunch break and a tasty snack. Energized, we pedal back through Tell to our starting point in Algund. The diverse landscape and cultural attractions ensure this bike tour is an unforgettable experience for nature enthusiasts eager to actively explore the beauty of South Tyrol."

From Kohlern, a small, beautifully situated hamlet above Bolzano, we head into the Weihertal valley and continue on a steady climb to the Titschenwarte, where views of the Latemar and Rosengarten open up. We hike down through the forest to the Schneiderwiesen meadows with the inn of the same name, where we stop for a bite to eat. We then return to Kohlern along a forest path. Walking time: approx. 4 hours Altitude difference: 400 m Difficulty: medium

According to the motto “There is always someone spinning”, we have been processing local South Tyrolean mountain sheep's wool since 1948 and creating special cardigans that are tailored to the customer's individual needs. We will guide you through our workshops, where you will experience the old craft at first hand, from washing the wool to carding, spinning, knitting and sewing the cardigans.

Enjoy exploring the vineyards of Tirolo as you find out all sorts of interesting information on wine-making followed by a tasting session. Limited number of participants.

Immerse yourself in the wonderful world of the honey bee. Together with beekeeper Michael, you will open a beehive at one of his travelling stands, watch the busy bees at work and learn all sorts of interesting facts about them. The tour ends with a tasting of various honey products. Guided vintage & convertible car tours This is not about getting intoxicated on speed – it’s about getting intoxicated on nature! Perhaps you’ve always longed to go on a guided vintage & convertibles tour through South Tyrol– along serpentine roads, and through breathtaking scenery and wild, romantic valleys? The routes for our tours are carefully chosen, and are headed by experienced local guides. They lead over the most beautiful passes of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site, along seemingly impossible serpentine roads, past majestic mountains and crystal clear lakes, or along exquisitely picturesque roads through orchards and vineyards in the south of South Tyrol and the neighbouring province of Trentino. During a guided exploratory walk through the vineyards with winegrower Michl, you will learn everything you need to know about wine: from its history, to care measures, varieties and marketing. At the end of the exploration you can taste South Tyrolean wines and thus get to know the aromas and tastes of the region.
