The organic mountain meadow hay in particular, from harvesting to versatile use, has led to creative "haylights" such as cushions, hay beds, wallpaper, lampshades, flooring, liqueur and gin. The 17th edition of the legendary Wine Cellar Night will take place in the central part of the South Tyrolean Wine Road. Wineries, wine estates and distilleries along the South Tyrolean Wine Road in the wine villages of Appiano and Caldaro al Lago will open the doors to their treasure. The imposing cellar vaults will be the setting for a wine experiences from 5 pm to midnight. Winegrowers talk with their guests; culinary highlights and music make the evening a very special experience. The Wine Cellar Night celebrate the art of South Tyrolean wine, winegrowers and cellar masters and their excellent wines. The specially organised shuttle service, which takes guests from winery to winery, ensured unadulterated wine enjoyment and a cosy summer evening.

As the third most important "farm" animal (after cattle and pigs), bees pollinate 80% of our crops. Discover Lana - welcome tour. Every Monday, guests are welcomed in front of the information office in Lana, the weekly programme is presented followed by a tour of the historic centre of Lana. You will receive useful information about the holiday region of Lana (countryside and people, hiking, excursions, visits to restaurants, fruit and wine growing, etc.) and learn about interesting monuments from eight centuries. Christoph Gufler, who has published numerous books on "South Tyrolean regional studies", will be happy to answer your questions, starting at the Lana information office, 10.00 am.

Short guided tour in German/Italian. Meeting point: at the church in Mittelberg. Duration: 20 minutes, Cost: € 2. The St. Nikolaus church in Mittelberg is first mentioned in 1289. This church was enlarged in the gothic style in 1400 and has kept its appearance from that time. The tower is somewhat later than the church and was probably built in the 14th Century. It is made of natural stones laid in regular patterns. Possibly in 1400 the upper levels were altered to the gothic style and the existing windows date from that period. In 1744 a rather large onion dome was added. It does not fit the building but is still quite pleasing. In 1976, during the restoration of the church and the tower, the Romanesque masonry was discovered. In this phase of restoration also came to light a large cycle of medieval frescoes that reproduce scenes of the passion of the Lord, the twelve apostles and prophets

From the Schermoos car park, we hike along the European long-distance hiking trail (E5) to the Möltner Joch, continuing along a pleasant path through sparse larch forest to the Möltner Kaser. Here we follow the path to the famous hilltop with the Stoanernen Mandln and impressive views of the Dolomites. This legendary cult site is characterised by countless cairns, some of which are as tall as a man. We return to the Möltner Kaser, where we stop for a bite to eat and then descend via the Jenesiener Jöchl to the starting point. An exciting adventure awaits you during the guided tour of the church tower! From our expert guide Oswald Tröbinger you will not only learn why the church and the tower were built separately, but also have the opportunity to climb the observation tower: 82 meters high, with more than 300 steps. The tour lasts one hour and is a must for every visitor. The tour is only in German and Italian. However, you can still take part to see the tower from inside.

With our hiking guide Julian, we will venture into the wild and romantic Tschamin Valley. Immerse yourself in the history of Tiers: along the way, you will learn fascinating facts about the Bergler, the Tschamintaler, the Sour Waterle, and more. We will take our lunch break at the Rechter Leger before hiking back to the Tschaminschwaige. Juval Castle Tour (39 km, 700 m elevation gain) The impressive Juval Castle Tour stretches over 39 kilometers and 700 meters of elevation gain, offering not only physical activity but also cultural and culinary highlights. The starting point is Algund. An experienced bike guide first leads us through a panoramic landscape to Töll. The route then continues along the Apple Road through blossoming orchards to Naturns and further towards Staben. Already during the ride, we enjoy a magnificent view up to the Juval Caslte, the famous castle of Reinhold Messner, which today houses a fascinating collection of Tibetan art and mountaineering history. We follow the bike path until the resting place (just before Staben) and then turn right at the wooden bridge towards the State Road and the Vinschgau Farmers' Store. After crossing the State Road, we need to pedal a bit more. However, with some stamina, we finally reach The Juval Castle, our destination for the day. Here, we will visit the castle and then take a delightful lunch break at a nearby inn. Rejuvenated, we begin the return journey to the starting point, Algund. The varied landscape and cultural attractions make this bike tour an unforgettable experience for nature enthusiasts who wish to actively explore the beauty of South Tyrol. This tour is ideal for experienced cyclists with a good basic level of fitness.
