If you always wanted to know more about strawberries and their production, you will get interesting information about Val Martello’s strawberries and how they get on the shelf during this guided visit of the trial field.

Have you ever seen the inside of a power station? Did you know how water becomes electricity? In South Tyrol, the Passeiertal Valley and especially the Hinterpasseier Valley is one of the valleys with the most water. For this reason, more than 22 power stations for sustainable energy production have been built in the Hinterpasseier Valley for about a century. One of the oldest is the power station in Rabenstein, which you can visit and explore. The guided tour offers unique insights into the power station and shows how water converted into electricity.

For nature lovers, there is nothing more beautiful than vibrant colors and delightful scents. This tour offers experiences for all the senses: colorful herb fields, aromatic oils wafting into the nose, delightful flavors during tasting, and perfect tranquility. We start with a visit to the herb garden, explore the drying and processing rooms, discover a variety of herbal products, and conclude our tour with a small but exquisite product tasting of fresh tea, fruity syrup, and spicy schnapps. Those interested in herbs will surely take home a wealth of knowledge about the cultivation, drying, storage, and use of our medicinal and culinary plants. A variety of medicinal plants, wild, flowering and aromatic herbs thrive in the mountain herb garden at the "Wiesenhof" in Pawigl. During a guided tour of the show garden, you will learn how they are used and what effect they have on the human body. In addition to medicinal teas, tinctures and ointments, these valuable natural resources can be used to make tasty wild herb delicacies, which you can enjoy with the group after the tour. Arrival by bus to St.Peter - Villnöss. Here we follow the marker no. 30 on the right and the indication St. Jakob and hike on the narrow asphalt road with the Stations of the Cross slightly ascending to the little church St. Jakob (1,280 m). We continue to follow the road through meadows and woods and reach the Jochhöfe, already mentioned in 1238, which form a small hamlet. One of them is the Jausenstation Moar (1,320 m), where we treat ourselves to a short rest. On the road below the Moar (no. 12) we hike down to the Zinnerhof, on the upper dirt road westward over to the forest and on the marked trail through steep forest down to the wide trail no. 11, on which we reach Teis (962 m) In Teis we visit the mineral museum. We make a short walk of approx. 20 minutes to the farm dairy “Unteroltl” (also accessible for baby carriages). We visit the farm with stable, animals and we can see also how cheese is made. Ganze to the stars with us! Every Thursday (depending on the weather) a stargazing tour takes place at the Maseben mountain hut. The Maseben mountain hut can be reached after a two-hour hike with an elevation gain of 400 meters, where we strenghen ourselfes with a dinner and a drink. Afterwards, the star guides will introduce you to the world of the night sky through the telescopes.

The trail leads from Vernagt in the Schnalstal Valley over the dam and down through the forest to the Mastaunhof. We ascend through a beautiful valley to the mountain hut of the same name and stop for refreshments. We then hike back to the Mastaunhof and continue along a forest path past the rustic Raindlhöfe farms to the small hamlet of Karthaus, which was originally built by the Karthäuser family. Our natural and cultural history hike first takes us to Issing. After visiting the church of St Nicholas, we walk along the Pfaffensteig trail to the historic Maurerhof farm. There we take a short visit to the farm museum, which gives us an authentic insight into the way of life in earlier times. We then return to the starting point of the exploration tour. From the first car park next to the Vernagt reservoir, we follow the "Tisenhof" signpost slightly uphill through the meadow slopes to the Tisenhof and from there briefly on to the Rafeinhof. From there, follow the path, which is narrow and slightly exposed in places, but good and equipped with a rope railing, to the Finail farmstead (snack station). From there, continue to the "Gerstgrasshöfe" and then slightly downhill to the Schnalser Talstraße, here via a wooden staircase up to the aforementioned suspension bridge and, crossing the slope for the most part, out to the dam and back to the car park. Throughout the afternoon, Danila Serafini will guide you on a journey through architecture and painting in the Parish Church of La Val. You will discover historical events and learn to identify the most important iconographies. Only in italian. At the Gampen Pass, we visit the Gampen bunker, a military bunker built during the Second World War. We then hike on a gravel road, then along a footpath and uphill in serpentines until we cross a wide valley at the foot of the small Laugenspitze. Continuing on and climbing gently, we reach the small, idyllic Gfrillneralm where we stop for a bite to eat. Marvellous views as far as the Dolomites await us there. Afterwards we hike along a pleasant track down to the Gampenstraße from where we take the bus back to Lana. Walking time: 4 hours Altitude difference: 400 m Difficulty: medium

Activities with the ambassadors of the Ladin tradition. La Villa is home to one of the headquarters of the “Croce Bianca”, a voluntary organization that provides first aid. Lukas became a volunteer at the age of thirteen and has never stopped helping those in need in the valley. During this visit you will learn what volunteering in the mountains is all about and you will soon realize that these helpful people have a big heart.
