    Running routes through South Tyrol

    South Tyrol is the varied Mecca for runners. Whether uphill, downhill, flat, on asphalt, in forests, on meadows or over hill and dale: every runner gets his money's worth in South Tyrol. The offer of signposted and well-maintained running trails is large and ranges from the running paradise at the Reschensee to the healthy altitude training on the Seiser Alm.

    ROUTE After crossing the Talvera river, run along the Lungo Talvera Gries, past the numerous playgrounds and sports facilities, cross Ponte Sant'Antonio and reach the start of the Promenade Sant'Osvaldo; a few serpentines quickly take you to higher altitudes, offering enchanting panoramic views of the city and the mountains around Bolzano; the spectacular route winds its way between rocks, gentle slopes and stretches of woodland. After 3.8 km, turn around at Hotel Eberle, return to town along the same route and return to the starting point along the Talvera Promenade.

    Val Gardena Mountain Run

    The Val Gardena Mountain Run, one of the most scenic mountain runs in the world, takes place every year in July in Val Gardena. The 14.5 km long route runs from Ortisei over the sleepy hamlet of St. Jacob in the UNESCO World Heritage area Puez-Geisler, and from there to the summit of Ortisei’s “local” mountain, the Seceda. The view which awaits us along the route and at our destination at 2,457 m is simply stunning. The return route can be taken comfortably by cable car.

    From Laces to San Martino in Monte

    Deny the same stage like the runners of the oldest still taking place mountain run San Martino in Monte which yearly in October takes place.

    The mountain run to San Martino is a real classic, with regular competitions since 1950, also one of the oldest ones of the whole nightmare space. The wonderful distance, the demanding increase, the perfect one infrastructures - a lot speaks for this mountain run.
    The competition distance starts directly on the main square of pasting and leads up to the top terminal of the cable railway. On narrow mountaineering and most different subsoil you procees in your tempo to the wonderful mountain hamlet of San Martino in Monte.
