The route from Terenten to Pein and Margen combines varied terrain with beautiful views. It’s perfect for experienced runners seeking a balanced challenge and scenic enjoyment.
Start in the center of Terenten and run along a flat, asphalted road to the end of the hamlet of Pein. After the Forncherhof farm, the trail climbs gently through the forest towards Margen. Here, you’ll reach the highest point of the route at the St. Margaret’s Church. From there, follow the Margen road downhill back to the village center.
This 9.3 km loop is mostly asphalted (7.5 km) with some forest or dirt trail sections (1.8 km). With a 270 m elevation gain, a solid fitness level is required.
