This route runs to the Sulfner Weiher pond. Overall, the tour is flat, the paths are wide and have low gradients—and is thus doable also in the winter.
The starting point of the pond Sulfner Weiher is the parking area at St. Kathrein/S. Caterina. Follow the road until Meraner Blick and then the small hiking path no. 50 up. Afterwards along the route no. 50A in direction to the Sulfner Weiher pond. In the end follow the route no. 11 until the starting point. Overall, the tour is flat, the paths are wide and have low gradients - and is thus doable also in the winter.
With the bus until the bus stop "Tankstelle Hafling", follow the way no. 2 until St. Kathrein (15 min.):

Coming from both directions of the freeway Meran/Merano - Bolzano/Bozen (MEBO), take the exit of Meran Süd/Merano Sud and follow directions towards Meran first, to then turn right towards Hafling/Avelengo. Shortly before Hafling Dorf/Avelengo Paese turn left towards S. Kathrein/S. Caterina.
