This evening, the female choir Kerygma and the Val Badia orchestra will come together in perfect harmony to perform Kim André Arnesen’s Magnificat. With opera arrangements, but also military and promenade music, this “harmony music” was intended to delight guests in the finest aristocratic households in Vienna. A function that Mozart immortalised in the second act of “Don Giovanni” (1787): “the table is already set: make music, my dears.
