Vocal and instrumental works as well as solo and chamber music contributions will be performed. The spectrum ranges from baroque music to classical and romantic music to compositions of our time.

After Augustin Grieninger and Romanus Weichlein, another South Tyrolean Baroque composer is on the program this year: the South Tyrolean composer Leopold von Plawenn, who came from the small hamlet of Plawenn in the municipality of Mals and worked in the Swabian Benedictine monastery of Zwiefalten, wrote a series of sacred works. The program includes four concertante sacred motets and a Lauretanische Litanei as well as a concertante sacred solo motet. The ensemble for early music vita & anima will be made up of 10 top-class musicians. In cooperation with the Tiroler Landesmuseen and the Festival of Sacred Music

The second castle concert organised by the Klausen/Seis music school (the first took place at Velthurns Castel in 2019) will see the talented pupils of Ingrid Deleug and Astrid Amico piano classes showcasing their skills. They offer a classical solo and a four-handed programme that goes beyond the expectations of a normal final concert and is well suited to the surrounding setting. The programme includes piano literature gems as well as less-known pieces from Zipoli to Haydn, from Mozart to Schubert and from Weber and Chopin to Brahms.

The music pavilion in Schenna comes to life as the hunting horn players from Schenna, Lana, Naturns, and Vöran create a magical concert evening. Against a breathtaking backdrop, the harmonious sounds of the hunting horns transport the audience into the picturesque world of the Alps. A musical experience that celebrates the beauty of nature and the region’s traditions, while spectators enjoy the atmospheric setting on Raiffeisen Square.

Where exactly does private property begin and where does public space begin? Is the border a visible fence or an invisible line? What features define public and private space, and how do they influence our everyday experience? Photographer Lukas Felder from Lana takes his camera on a visual exploration tour through the market town and explores these questions. His photographic walk is not only a documentary investigation, but also an invitation to look at the familiar surroundings from a new, critical perspective. The results of his photographic research can be seen at a specially constructed fake building site on Hofmannplatz. The installation playfully questions the boundaries between reality and staging and invites us to rethink public space.

The village festival is certainly known throughout the country as one of the oldest, largest and most beautiful village festivals of all. In 2024, the village festival took place for the first time on the fairground in large tents: "Mårtiner Dorffestival" 2024 was a complete success! This year, the "Mårtiner Dorffestival" has the honour of hosting the 15th VSM District Music Festival Merano at the same time. 36 music bands with over 1.600 musicians and sutlers from the Burggrafenamt and Passeier will adorn the village with their traditional costumes and brass band sounds this weekend. There will be short concerts by the bands, a marching band competition on the sports field and a festive parade and mass on the village square on Saturday and Sunday. On Friday and Saturday, well-known artists and DJs will be performing. On Sunday, admission to the family festival is free. There will be fun and games for the whole family. On Sunday afternoons in the garden, we celebrate the spectacle - as a radical indictment of modern working society and capitalism. We celebrate the capacity for inactivity - the vita contemplativa - and the good life among people, friends and like-minded people. Art brings back the humour that we so desperately need in today's world and shows a female gaze. "How can you still see reality," says Christine Lederer about her performance. As an artist, she works her way through her works and performative acts, which are often political, usually guided by words, reveal worlds and give instructions for action. In co-operation with the cultural association K.art.

Founded in 1820, the Stilfes band once again invites you to its traditional spring concert in the Stilfes Vereinshaus. The concert is the first musical highlight. You can look forward to a sonorous evening with a mixture of traditional and modern pieces. After the concert, culinary delicacies from the farmers' wives await you at the end of the evening.

On Saturday, May 17 2025, the Friends of the Marling Seniors warmly invite you to a morning print starting at 11:00 AM. Look forward to a sociable gathering with plenty of culinary delights: From 12:00 PM, enjoy grilled specialties, tasty pasta dishes, homemade Terzenkuchen and coffee. In the evening, a hearty and warming chili con carne will round off the day – perfect for those who wish to stay a little longer. The event will take place in all weather conditions – a cozy atmosphere is guaranteed! Proceeds from the event will go to support the Marling seniors.

The Missa Salisburgensis à 53 voci is a large-scale Baroque mass setting in the style of Venetian polychoral music. The composition, which has survived anonymously, is now attributed to Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber. The mass was probably first performed in Salzburg Cathedral in 1682 on the occasion of the 1100th anniversary of the bishopric of Salzburg. The ensemble Concerto Stella Matutina performs with two vocal choirs, two string choirs, a large continuo, flutes, oboes, cornetts, trombones and 10 trumpets with two timpani.
