This tour offers you technically challenging natural trails leading us toward Tiers |Tires. A moderately difficult MTB tour from the Frommer Alm hut to Gummer | San Valentino, where the unique observatory of South Tyrol is located. We will mainly be on forest roads and easy trails, passing by the historic Wolf Pit. In Gummer | San Valentino, we will ride along the Planet Path and visit the observatory. In this repair workshop, everything revolves around bike maintenance and adjustments to suit personal needs. We begin with a general safety check of the bike to ensure that all important components are in excellent condition. This includes checking the brakes, lights, chain, and gears. Next, we focus on adjusting the seat height to ensure an ergonomic riding position and improve comfort. Participants will also learn how to correctly adjust the suspension fork and shock absorbers to provide optimal shock absorption depending on the terrain. Another important part of the workshop is learning how to handle a flat tire in the field: We will demonstrate simple and effective methods for quickly and safely repairing a punctured tire. Finally, we will practice changing a tire together, so that everyone knows how to continue riding independently in case of an emergency. This varied hike takes you through a fascinating landscape at the foot of the Latemar: from expansive alpine meadows and mystical rock labyrinths to a hidden lake in the middle of the forest. Perfect for an adventurous day in the Dolomites! Tour Description: Our tour begins at the Tiers cable car, which takes us comfortably to the Frommer Alm. From there, bus line 186 brings us to the Nigerstraße intersection, where our hike starts on foot. We follow the trail across the idyllic Latemar meadows, offering breathtaking views of the Dolomites and the perfect spot for a short break to soak in the surroundings. The path then leads us into the famous Latemar Labyrinth, a highlight of the hike. This labyrinth of massive boulders, created by an ancient landslide, provides an exciting and unique hiking experience. After navigating the labyrinth, we arrive at the Mitterleger, a picturesque alpine meadow. From there, we continue to Mittersee, a hidden forest lake that is particularly striking in early summer. Mittersee is a seasonal lake and does not hold water year-round, but its magical atmosphere amidst the forest makes it a special destination. Finally, we descend further to the historic Grand Hotel Carezza, where we end our hike in a relaxed manner. We cycle from the Frommer Alm hut over the Nigerpass | Passo Nigra to Tiers | Tires and on towards Seis | Siusi. At the foot of the Schlern | Sciliar, about halfway there, a wonderful bathing lake with a restaurant awaits us. We allow ourselves plenty of time to relax and enjoy a delicious lunch. We then cycle back to Tiers | Tires, where the cabrio cable way takes us back to the starting point.
