The Biathlon Centre at the the Martelltal valley is located at 1,700 m. It is one of the most modern biathlon centres in the Alpine region, and snow is guaranteed here. It is a training camp and venue for national and international competitions. A guided shooting and safety training session with a small-bore rifle will introduce you to the fascinating world of biathlon.

Our hike begins at the Cabrio Cable Car in Tiers, which takes us to the Frommeralm. From there, we take the König Laurin I & II cable cars up to the Kölner Hut/Laurins Lounge. Spectacular views of the surrounding mountains await us on the Hirzelsteig to the Paolina Hut. With the Paolina chairlift, we float down to the village of Karersee. From there, a picturesque path leads us over a suspension bridge to the mystical Karer Lake. The hike continues to the Moseralm, from where we take the Tschein chairlift back. Climbing is fun, not only for the children! On the climbing wall we train strength and agility in a completely playful way. In 1983, the Kaltern Running Club organized its first provincial mountain race. The start and finish were in St. Nikolaus. Volksbank was secured as a sponsor for the event and has supported the race ever since. Since 1986, the mountain race has taken place from the valley station of the funicular in St. Anton up to the Mendel Pass. The event will take place on Sunday, June 1, 2025. From Staben we follow the beautiful Schnalser Waalweg below Schluss Juval via Tschars to Kastelbell Castle. This path leads along the longest and most important watercourse in the Venosta Valley. Built in 1872/73, the irrigation canal with its strong water flow is still used today to irrigate many cultivated areas in the valley. From there you follow a forest road to the Mastlé Alp and continue to the Juac hut at 2.120 m, which is also the highest point you will reach during this tour. The descent is speckled with mesmerizing ponds and clearings. The tour includes a passage at the feet of the ruins of the Wolkenstein Castle at the entrance of Vallunga. The way back to S.
