Easy winter hike for the whole family from Schlinig to the Schlinigeralm with the possibility of a stop for refreshments. The easy route leads through an idyllic landscape with views of the Sesvenna Pass.
This route leads from the bus stop in Stilfs/Stelvio, passing Platzhof farm and heading along a forest trail to the Obere Stilfser Alm Alpine farm that towers over Stilfs at an elevation of 2,077 m.
Be sure to give yourself a well-earned break at the farm: the view of Ortler mountain from this tranquil setting is truly stunning and a hot flask of tea can work wonders.

Beginning at the Sulden cable car valley station, this demanding winter hike follows a gently inclined forest trail on the way up to the hut at an elevation of 2,581 m.

Starting point: North lakeshore of the Lake Haider in S. Valentino alla Muta Ascent: Along the western lakeshore to the southern end of the Lake Haider, then take the road on the right side, along the trail number 8 for Lake Faulensee. Turn right again to the old alpine path, which goes into Zerzertal. Pass the St. Martin Church and walk up the bridge just before the alpine pasture Malga Brugger/Brugger Alm (it is closed in winter). Over the lower trail number 7 across the Petsch forest in north direction back to the village St. Valentin. Arrived at the forest road, the way goes further on the skiing slope. Down to Plagött (posibility to stop for a bite to eat), and on to the valley station of the Malga S. Valentino/Haideralm.

This leisurely winter hike along an Alpine and farm trail leads to the Untere and Obere Stilfser Alm Alpine farms. Hikers follow a gentle forest trail through snowy meadows and forests to the Obere Stilfser Alm Alpine farm (2,077 m).
The Furkelhütte mountain hut towers over Trafoi at an elevation of 2,153 m. Trail no. 17, which leads from Trafoi (near the lift station) to the Furkelhütte, is the classic option for winter and snowshoe hikes in the Trafoi area. It leads hikers on a two-hour excursion through a romantic forest setting to reach the hut. A renovated trench section shortly before the end of the trail provides a fascinating insight into the hard life endured by soldiers during WWI. The sun terrace boasts the best view of King Ortler and the surrounding mountain panorama – all the way through to the Stilfserjoch ridge. The return leg can also be completed via a 20-minute ride on the chairlift.
Spring and autumn are the ideal times for this hike. From the sports ground in Lasa/Laas, walk along the dry Lasa Leitenwaal canals (Laaser Leiten) to the mountain village of Tanas. From here hikers can enjoy unique panoramic views of the valley basin and the Ortler range on the opposite side.
This hike is normally snow-free, with gorgeous views of the Laaser Tal valley, the marble quarry and the incline railway.

Station
The hike starts at the Fürstenburg Castle parking lot in Burgeis. The route
leads to the cultural center of Burgeis, past the parish church, along the
mountain lake back to the valley station. For those interested in culture, a
worthwhile stop is the Burgeis parish church, with its very unique
„Tatzelmännchen“ portal (pawed man).
This snowshoe hike leads from the Langenstein chairlift valley station to the mountain station.
Walking tour in the Valley of Planeil
From the mountain village of Planeil, trail No. 6 follows on the broad valley path through sloping meadows to the wall remains of the Petesetteshof farm. Continue on until the way forks left, from here go up to the Planol Alpine hut (2069 m).
Descent: from the hut downhill through Alpine pasture slopes, following trail No. 10 to above Planeil village and at the end take a steep right down to the starting point.
Attention: This snowshoe hike requires knowledge of avalanches and snow safety.
