Enjoyment in the South Tyrol's rural taverns

High above Bozen, nestled away in an ancient chestnut grove on the sunny slopes of the Ritten mountain, is Ebnicherhof farm. This is the perfect destination for spring and autumn. The farmhouse parlour and sun terrace are the ideal place to while away the time enjoying typical farm dishes and unique views stretching from the Dolomites to the Unterland (Lower Adige). Advance booking recommended.

Ebner wine farm lies at the foot of the Ritten high plateau surrounded by vineyards. The farmer, Florian, produces excellent wines, while his wife is an experienced cook and confectioner who treats her guests to typical Tyrolean dishes, and now serves a delicious farm brunch. Open from March to mid-May on Sunday after 9.00 am (farm brunch until 1.00 pm). From the start of October to mid- December from Wednesdays to Fridays from 6.00 pm, open from midday on Saturdays and Sundays. Prior order required.

The "Röckhof" is situated in the sunny slopes of Villanders. 7/10 - bottling, distillery, guided tour of the farm and cellar, typical dishes such as Schlutzkrapfen, potato pasties and homemade sausages. On Saturdays and Sundays we are open from midday.

We offer typical Ladin cuisine on reservation.

Rielingerhof farm occupies a remote spot at 750 m above sea level amidst vineyards and orchards. The whole grape harvest is made into delicious organic wine on the farm. In addition, guests can enjoy organic meat from the farm as well as a wide variety of fruit and vegetables from the farm and its land. Farm Holidays also available. Open from 25th February until 27th March from Friday to Sunday, from 1st April until 26th June and from 3rd September until 7th November from Tuesday to Sunday, and from 12th November until 28th November from Friday to Sunday. During the remainder of the year, bookings for more than 10 persons are accepted.

The guesthouse Untereggerhof, located directly in the inviolated nature is the perfect place to relax after a walk or to enjoy a traditional and first-class food. During winter at evening only with reservation!

Chef Bernhard Gufler was headchef at the spa resort Andreus for seven years. There he has met and did cook for quite a few peronalities such as the German football national team in 2014. As a new chapter in his life, he now has the chance to call the "Unteren Obereggerhof", along with his girlfriend Katja, his own. This place is both, a comfortable place to stay, a destination for hikers, as also a place for family gatherings. Highlights of the house obviously include various culinary delights, which in form of a small menu, will change day by day. Fresh and homemade products will have a main role in all the presented meals. On the "Unterer Obererggerhof" there is also a small petting zoo with all kind of different animals. Our younger guests can enjoy theirselfs on the playground located nearby.

At the farmhouse Inn Reierhof you have the possibility to enjoy regional and homemade products and freshly prepared meals. Large playground, show farm with petting zoo. Open only in the summer season. Closed on Tuesday.

Moarhof, delicacies from the region.

The farm Moserhof is situated between meadows and forests and is a popular destination for walkers. The farm offers traditional and regional dishes, such as duplings, ham, cheese, "Kaiserschmarrn" and sweet pancakes.

"Törggelen" with housemade wine.

Manuela's diner is located in Madonnina in the heart fo the Corno del Renon at 1.674 meters. It offers typical South Tyrolean dishes at adequate rate. Closing day: Thursday

Zmailer Hof farm looks out from the Schennerberg mountainside over the Meran valley basin and across to the Etsch river valley. It is the ideal destination for a mountain walk. Parts of the old farmhouse, such as the kitchen, hallway and pretty frescoes at the entrance to the house are under listed building protection. Guests can enjoy the tasty house specialities on the sun terrace or in the cosy farmhouse parlour. The excellent fruit juices are a treat not to be missed. Open daily from mid-March until the end of November. Closed on Fridays.

The inn is situated in the idyllic hamlet of Glen, surrounded by gently sloping vineyards. The terrace, shaded by a 100-year-old chestnut tree, is a good place to relax and unwind. The hosts also serve delicious dishes from the farm kitchen in the two cosy farm dining rooms. Open from Thursday to Sunday after midday from the beginning of March to the end of May and from the beginning of September to mid-December. Closed on Sunday evenings. Closed Monday to Wednesday. Booking recommended.

The Family serves hearty home-made South Tyrolean specialities with regional products. In November and December the restaurant is open on reservation in the evening.

A cozy wine arbor terrace, serving various home-grown wines. Fresh juices served with homemade Brettljausen (cold cuts), and a children’s playground await you.

Burgerhof farm stands out thanks to its two cosy dining rooms and fantastic views of the Brixen valley basin. Organic farming methods have held great importance here for over 30 years. Guests can look forward to seasonal dishes, with a menu that changes every week, delicious organic wines as well as tender meat from the farm's own herd. Open from mid-September until the second weekend in December as well as from the start of April until the mid of June. Hours: Fridays from 6.00pm, Saturdays from midday and Sundays from 12.00am to 3.00pm. In autumn, open on Thursdays from 6.00pm. Open in the evenings by reservation only. For the rest of the year we are happy to accept reservations above 20 guests on request.

A very warm welcome to the Unterötzbauer! Our farmhouse tavern is located in the middle of vineyards and orchards. On the sun terrace you can enjoy spectacular views of the spa town of Meran and the surroundings. We will be delighted to serve you with our home-made wine and typical South Tyrolean specialties.

Innerperskoler farm is located in sunny Aicha di Fiè, surrounded by vineyards and chestnut groves. The altitude of 700m above sea level favours both viniculture and cattle farming. In 2014/15 the Prieth family, the current owners, established a farmhouse inn where local South Tyroleans and tourists alike are welcome to delight in the fruits of the harvest.
