In the rural taverns in South Tyrol you will be served by the host family in person. In the rustic parlors, home-grown products such as homemade juices, tasty hot and cold dishes, local fruit and, of course, wines are offered. A very special highlight is the annual Törggelen in the Buschenschänken: As decades ago, the farmers open their cellars for their guests to taste the wine, accompanied by typical rural dishes.

The Piccolruaz d'Alfarëi family offers typical Ladin cuisine with a fixed menu in one of the oldest farmhouses in the Badia Valley. Situated four minutes from the centre of the pretty village of Badia, the restaurant has been run by the same family since 1645. Thanks to a long agricultural tradition and a deep connection with the land, it offers you an experience that will take you back in time, tasting the products of the farm and dining in the traditional STÜA and the cosy STANGODE. This small farmhouse represents a combination of passion and tradition, where food becomes an opportunity to taste the true Ladin culture.
We bought this breathtaking farm in 2023 and converted it into a farm tavern. The farm ‘Af Egg 35’ is an extreme farm that clings to a steep slope on the Vinschgau Sonnenberg.
It is situated at 1670 metres above sea level directly on the Vinschgau High Mountain Trail. It can be easily reached from the St. Martin im Kofel cable car mountain station near Latsch in a westerly direction in approx. 45 minutes.
For experienced hikers there are also very interesting hiking trails from Latsch Goldrain or Schlanders to us. Walking times between 3-4 hours.
We look forward to seeing you!

Welcome to our family run farm, where Ladin tradition and genuine flavours meet. Nestled in the heart of the Dolomites, our little corner of paradise offers a warm and authentic welcome, perfect for those looking for an intimate experience. Our farmstead was once an ancient stable that has preserved the charm of the past with a rustic atmosphere.
The cuisine is a true journey into Ladin flavours, lovingly prepared by our mom Annamaria. For her, fresh products, picked from her garden, meat from our farm, milk and fresh ricotta are the key ingredients. Each dish tells the story of our land and its riches. The cosy and familiar atmosphere will make you feel at home, while the panoramic view of the majestic Sas dla Crusc will make every moment unforgettable. Here, tradition is the protagonist and the silence of the mountains is the best companion for your experience.
