From the church in Rasa/Raas, head east along the road following the signs for trail no. 4 to the Moser farm, then turn right following the symbol for the nature trail and walk round the Raier Moos biotope to the Moser and back on marked trail no. 4 to your starting point. The nature trail takes you round the Raier Moos biotope. With the help of information boards and observation points, visitors can learn about the habitats of all kinds of animal and plant species at first hand.

 

The spectacular Adolf-Munkelweg Trail in the Puez-Geisler Nature Park runs beneath the north face of the majestic Geisler Group at the closed end of the Villnösstal Valley. Passing through a stone pine forest and crossing Alpine rose fields, the trail leads to welcoming mountain huts ideal for a rest stop.

In 15 interesting stations, many different games await the families. Together with the wood mouse Ferdinand, the parents and their kids search for animal tracks, listen to bird voices, lift up the horn of a deer, work themselves through a tunnel and climb up the pecker-hill.

On this hike, you will hike through the wide meadows lined with larch forests on the high plateau of the Salten.

The Gschnoferstall is very placed in avery quiet and serene. You can enjoy the sun on the forecourt of the mountain hut and there is also a playground and some animals to discover. At the hut, you will be greeted with delicious and typical South Tyrolean dishes that invite you to taste them.  

At the eight stations along the trail, kids and adults alike will learn about the animals that are important for the survival of our woodland. So we start the trip to visiting Ivo, Bella, Walter & Co.
With Pyramix we follow the tracks of the wild animals on the sunny high plateau Renon. The nature experience trail with the marking no. 16 leads us from Soprabolzano through woods and meadows over the village from Soprabolzano past to the farm Lobis and its mill.
At the beginning of the trail Pyramix welcomes us and tells us a lot about the wildlife on Renon. Curiosity is already aroused and off we go!
We already see the first coloured spots between the trees. What could this be? ...It is Fiona, the clever Mrs. Fox. Here in the forest she has found a great place for her earth.
The path leads us further to Ivo, a companion with a spiky hairstyle, which you can find especially at night while looking for food. Well, which animal do you think is meant?
Again and again we pass various forest and meadow inhabitants. Whether it's Walter, the busy woodpecker, who hammers a cave for his chicks into the tree, or Sissi, the busy squirrel, who collects his stocks.
At each of these stations, children will find great opportunities to play and learn about the characteristics of the animals in a playful way, and of course there is also a description of the wild animal with its special features.
Entertainment and fun for young and old are therefore guaranteed.The nature trail is simply FUNtastic!

Waalwege are paths along the ancient irrigation channels. From the car park of the Hirzer cable car in Saltaus/Saltusio, head down to the Passerdammweg trail until reaching the Apfelhotel Torgglerhof hotel. From here, the canal trail leads into the centre of Scena/Schenna or after the Waalerhütte hut to Riffian/Rifiano and Meran/Merano.
After a comfortable hike of approx. 1.5 hours, you reach the small city centre of Merano, where you can, for example, take the bus back to Saltusio.

Surrounded by larch forests and alpine meadows, the mountain inn is located in the northern part of the plateau Salten, above Flaas. On the Lanzenschusterhof homemade dishes are a priority: hearty starters with alpine wild plants, fine specialities of ox meet traditional South Tyrolean cuisine. You can relax on the sun terrace while the children play on the playground or watch the animals at the petting zoo. During the summer often barbeques and live music are waiting for you.

Steeped in lore and legend, the St. Vigil church is a particularly special spot: On two significant days of the year, namely the equinoxes, the shadow of the Schlern mountain falls upon the church on the astronomically-defined date that marks the change of seasons.

On May 30th 2014 the students of Flaas have inaugurated the Path of History. On the way between Lanzenschuster and Kampitell you can learn a lot about the history of Flaas. Old tecniques have been tried out and old barracks have been reconstructed.

The history trail was opened on May 30, 2014 by the elementary students of the small village Flaas.On the way between the mountain lodge Lanzenschuster and the parking lot Kampidell one learns a lot about the history of Flaas on the basis of different stations.Old techniques were tried, first huts were rebuilt .

route descripition:
Starting from the guesthouse Lanzenschuster, you follow hiking path n. 8 to the two farms Steger and Lueger, then by choosing path n. 5 you can return to Lanzenschuster.

Waalwege are paths along the ancient irrigation channels. Ascend to the canal trail via the Kirchweg or Rösslweg streets. After approx. 300 m the Rösslweg branches to the left from the Kirchweg and rises gently to the shooting range where the Riffianer Waalweg trail begins. It runs between forest edge and meadows as far as Kuens/Caines and ends in the Kuensertal valley. Return either via the Kuenserstraße street, the Valtmaunweg trail or via the Hohlgasse street. If you wish, you can drive to the starting point in the Kuensertal valley by car, park there and then hike as far as Rifiano/Riffian (approx. 45 min).

The path is not suitable for pushchairs or strollers.

This panoramic circular hike leads across flowering alpine meadows in Karersee/Carezza and invites you to several refreshment stops to enjoy and linger.

Experience a unique nature experience: "The Crocus Flower". Every year, between the beginning of March and the end of April, the meadows on the "Giogo di Meltina" are transformed into a sea of crocus flowers.

Route: from the car park at Kalterer See lake, continue north to the Geier restaurant. Behind the restaurant, a narrow trail leads to the north into the orchards. Walk along these and turn off to the right in an easterly direction following the markers. At the slope on the eastern side of the valley, turn right, passing by the hotel on the left to the Klughammer road. First follow this road, then continue on a trail above the road.

This trail ends at the southern end of the lake. Cross the road to join the Nature Discovery Trail (Naturerlebnisweg). At the end of this nature trail, turn right onto the so-called Kuchlweg trail, hiking to the vineyards on the western side of the valley. Just before the wine road, turn right into the trail through the field, following it until you reach the point where the wine road curves to the right. Cross over and now follow a trail through the field once more. Then follow the footpath next to the wine road to the church of San Giuseppe al Lago/St. Josef am See (Kirche St. Josef). Take the farm track to the right back to the starting point of the hike.

Short, pleasant route along the "Kondlwaal "irrigation channel to Greithof and back to the Stallwies inn.

To "Rungg" and St. Valentin, duration: approx. 45 minutes, asphalt

This easy but somewhat long hike leads across lush alpine meadows, from hut to hut, with beautiful distant views of the Dolomites.

Trail of Legends: San Genesio Atesino/Jenesien Remarkably, it was 132 students from the municipality of San Genesio Atesino who are responsible for the creation of this fabulous Trail of Legends, which they based on 14 myths from their community. The route from Melag/Melago to the Melager Alm alpine pasture in Langtaufers valley is a beautiful family hike, which is also suitable for buggies. The hike starts from the car park in the hamlet Melag, the highest hamlet in Langtaufers valley at 1,915m, which is inhabited all year round. From the car park walk to the right between the houses. Signpost numbers 2 and 5 indicate the path, but it is impossible to miss even without the directions. In a very gentle ascent walk towards to the bridge over the Karlinbach river. Cross the bridge and continue on the flat path towards the alpine pasture. At the end of the valley, the snow-covered peaks around the Weißkugel rise up; to the north and south, a whole series of three thousand metre peaks flank the valley. The way back follows the same route as the one going there.
Note: As an alternative you can start this hike from the hamlet of Kappl at the out of service Maseben ski-lift station and follow the forest road to the Melager Alm alpine pasture.

Numerous herbal remedies have been used in traditional medicine over the centuries for the prevention of disease, to heal and for pain relief. Along the Panoramaweg panoramic trail in Spiluck/Spelonca, visitors learn more about local herbs and plants with medicinal effects.

While hiking, you are constantl surrounded by meadows and woods. The "Leadneralm" is a good place to take a brake. It offers  meadows to lay down and rest, as well as good typical south tyrolian dishes. The "Möltner Kaser" is too, sorrounded by fresh green meadows. The mountain hut is situated directly underneath the famous "Stoanerne Mandln".

In the about 3 kilometers long loop road, twelve stations invite young and old to play and discover. Zipf and Zapf go along with the little natural scientists on their walk and narrate them interesting facts about the forest and its inhabitanst. At the same time the children have to crack several riddles to find the mysterious treasure at the end of the road. The trail is positioned amid of the talai forest in San Valentino. A longer but easy family hike along a forest path with magnificent views of the Rosengarten and Latemar massifs.
The Schiller Hof hut and the Hagner Alm hut invite you to enjoy and linger.

Easy hike from the Stiergarten summit station (2092 m). On the new wide hiking trail via the
Klammbachalm and Nemesalm and back to the starting point. Ideal for families and pushchair-friendly.

The restaurant Lanzenschuster serves home-made South Tyrolean specialities with regional and home made products, f.ex. "Strudel" with apple. During the summer often barbeques and live music are waiting for you, and for children a playground and a petting zoo are offered.

The mountain inn Sattlerhütte is beautifully situated below the Möltner Kaser. The hike can be done at any time of the year: in winter as a snowshoe tour, in autumn - when the larches turn yellow-gold, in the summer because of the lush green meadow and especially in spring, when the alpine meadows turn into a flowering sea of crocuses and other spring flowers.
