From time immemorial, it was believed that the Nittbach stream had special healing powers. Tradition has it that the sick and animals suffering from leg conditions had been cured in its waters.
To farmers, the stream is vital for the irrigation of numerous farms around Prato and Cengles, which in the past used to fall under the responsibility of the Waalers, the canal wardens.

The Fort Nauders was built as a roadblock to protect the lnntal from troop invasions from Lombardy and the Engadin. The five-storey fortress was built from 1834 to 1840. The wedge-shaped porch was equipped with cannons. The crew casemate reaches 20 meters deep into the rocks. The fortress was never attacked and has remained unchanged. Currently the fortress is being restored.
At the artificially created ice tower next to the Solda sports centre, even beginners will find top spots where they can experience the fascination of this sport. There is also the possibility to get a course in ice climbing from the Alpin School Ortler.

The church to the St. Josef im Dörfl, in Muntaplair was built by Jakob Dietl and his mother Anna Lutzin at his own expense and consecrated on 10 October 1705 by Prince-Bishop Ulrich VII. The bell from the year 1798 had to be delivered on May 22, 1918 for war purposes. The pedestal of the altarpiece is decorated with floral patterns. The altar structure consists of two pillars. In the volute gable is a representation of the "Blessed Mother of the Good Council". The side statues represent the St. Martin and the St.. Florian. The altarpiece shows the St. Josef with angels and comes from Matthias Pussjäger. The little church was restored in 1964 at the instigation of the then pastor Alois Rainer to the primate of the priest born in the village Kassian Waldner. On the occasion of the 300th anniversary in 2004, at the suggestion of Pastor Anton Pfeifer, the little church was dehumidified outside and inside, and two windows were broken out to the right and left of the entrance. Three times a day, in the morning, at noon and in the evening there is a ringing and someone dies from the village, in the little church of the soul rose wreath is prayed.

The original parish church of St. Walburga is thought to have already been in existence around 1203, and is located close to the permanent settlements by the stone river surfaces in Val Martello. The church was consecrated in 1440, it was extended in 1650, and an upper section was added in 1759. The neo-romanesque altar was completed in 1887.

The sanctuary of the holy San Martino was probably built over a pagan sanctuary caveand dates from the 16th century. The San Martino statue still stands in a natural cave to day - hence the only proper name of San Martino in Monte. From San Martino you enjoy a particularly and beautiful view of the valley and in the Ortler mountains.

Coldrano Castle was once the ancestral seat home of Count Hendl and nowadays an educational center. The architectural history of the castle is unable to trace a precise date of its inauguration; however, it is assumed that the palace was built after 1323. Coldrano Castle is a three-wing building with an inner courtyard, which is surrounded by an almost rectangular shaped wall and by rounded corner towers.
