The way to Val Martello’s best Kaiserschmarren (sugared pancake with raisins) is not far from Val Martello’s pivot if you go by e-bike or by bike. Start at the Trattla sports and leisure center and take the road into the valley. Turn right and continue on path no. 7 to reach Martello’s valley path (South Tyrol Strawberry Trail, no. 36). Go until the bridge and continue towards the village of Martello. First go up the asphalt road before you continue up and down along the sunny slope northwards. Passing by rather steep, irrigated meadows and houses that are acrobatically built into the slopes the road gets narrower and you are surrounded by sloping terrain. Pass by a little church and quickly cross the forest before you arrive at your destination: the Steinwandhof farm situated high above Val Martello with its wonderful view of both the mountains and the valley.

Shortly after the Spin´s farm, take a sharp right onto the forest and meadow path. In the forest, bend the way north above lake Resia and the Rojen road past a small forest lake (1,850 m). The classic itinerary of the region starts in Trodena. It leads downhill to the old sawmill and goes along a forest road with a pleasant incline through the "Kaltwassertal" up to the col Passo Cisa (1448m). We keep walking on this altitude and follow the way towards the Malghette, the highest point of the tour. In an easy descent, we reach Anterivo and San Lugano. From Ibsenplatz, head towards the train station, descend the wide steps with a ramp, and continue into the Pflersch Valley. After about 2 km, turn left onto a forest road (1,077 m). This road climbs a little steeply at first, then continues gently into the valley until it ends at km 7.2.
Here, a trail through the forest begins – experienced bikers can ride this section, while less experienced riders may prefer to push their bikes. After another 400 m (km 7.6), the forest road resumes and leads to km 8.7. At this point, you have the first option to turn left and stop for refreshments at the Ladurnerhütte (1,731 m).
Return from the Ladurnerhütte on the same path. At km 11.1, you rejoin the forest road, which offers a pleasant descent. At km 15.2, you’ll come across a path leading to Innerpflersch (do not turn – wrong direction!). After another 500 m (km 15.7), you reach a junction: here, a slightly uphill path takes you to the welcoming Allriss-Alm (1,534 m, refreshment stop).
From here, it’s all downhill – first on a gravel road, then on asphalt – passing the sports field in Pflersch and continuing down the valley along the valley and cycle path back towards Gossensass.
Spectacular Dolomite peaks and legendary mountain passes: The Sellaronda is one of the most beautiful and popular circular routes in the Alps and offers all kinds of exciting options in winter or in summer. One of these is the Sellaronda mountain biking tour. The tour requires a good level of physical fitness and mountain biking experience, because there are some tricky climbs and a few difficult descents to manage. However, for the last few years there has been the option of avoiding some of the particularly steep climbs by using lifts, making it possible to complete the tour in a day.
Thanks to several chairlifts and cablecars the height difference to ride up by bike is relatively small in the clockwise route of the Sellaronda MTB TOUR. There are several descents on bike trails, which require a medium level of bike practice. The time needed to complete the tour varies according the ability of the biker: generally from 5 to a maximum of 9 hours, lunch break included.

After 6.7 km and 570m gain it is possible to take the crossing Fontana Trail, and after 4.3 km and 360m gain the crossing Lupo Trail.
Flowing, slightly demanding trail with traditional stop for refreshment and fabulous views.
Gravel trail section. Cross the San Martino road to a beautiful S3 trail characterized by forest floor and stone passages. Turn right towards Ratschillhof at the gravel road and refresh yourself after some 500m.
By the way: This trail owes its name to this farm and not to its spicy characteristics! The second part of the trail ranges from root passages to hilly S3 sections and thus offers something for all trail enthusiasts. Look forward to the subsequent flatter flowing “Share the Trail” passage along Piani di Annenberg. Continue and before the suspension bridge on the left on path no. 5A downhill to Tiss.
