"The early bird catches the worm"! The well-known saying takes on a whole new meaning during a sunrise hike to the mountain Fleckner (2,336 m). Admittedly, it takes some motivation to get out of bed so early, but early risers are rewarded. Join us when the first rays of sun touch the top of the mountains, the light illuminates the majestic mountain landscape of the Passeiertal Valley and let yourself be enchanted by the unique panorama. Our events is entirely dedicated to the Tyrolean sounds of our local music bands. In addition, visitors can also expect performances by our local Bavarian folk dance and folk dance groups on some evenings.

Kaiserschmarrn is good! Cooking it is really easy, as long as you keep a few tricks in mind. In this cookery course, farmer Brigitte from Avelengo reveals the recipe for a delicious Kaiserschmarrn and shows children the tricks to achieve a fluffy result on the plate, so that they can easily recreate it at home. With Brigitte, you will not only learn the recipe for the original South Tyrolean Kaiserschmarrn, but you will also have a special farm experience, as farm products, such as eggs, are harvested fresh from the henhouse! During the summer months a celebration takes place in the villages of the High Apple Plateau, as the Naz-Sciaves Tourist Office organizes the Sunnseitn street party. The festival offers musical entertainment. Local delicacies will be served.

South Tyrol is also known for its flavoursome and traditional cuisine. Many South Tyrolean specialities have their roots in the Puster Valley. In those days, when people still worked mainly in agriculture and were employed on their own farms, numerous traditional dishes and specialities were created. These recipes were later passed down from generation to generation and are still very popular with young and old today. Here in Val Pusteria/Pustertal you also have the opportunity to try Pusterer Tirtlan, Krapfen or Niggelen, you should definitely not miss out on this culinary delight.

During the guided tour of the "Ladina distillery," visitors will be led through the entire process of creating Ladin distillates, from the careful handpicking of the finest fruits to their transformation into exquisite and velvety grappas. Experience living history and enjoy a glass of fine wine. Slow Food Travel is organising a wine tasting as part of Kuglkult on 5th July in Teis in the bunker at the Hill of the Holy Sepulchre.
