    Enjoyment in the South Tyrol's rural taverns

    In the rural taverns in South Tyrol you will be served by the host family in person. In the rustic parlors, home-grown products such as homemade juices, tasty hot and cold dishes, local fruit and, of course, wines are offered. A very special highlight is the annual Törggelen in the Buschenschänken: As decades ago, the farmers open their cellars for their guests to taste the wine, accompanied by typical rural dishes.

    Enjoy genuine dishes with a taste of tradition. The Piccolruaz d'Alfarëi family offers typical Ladin cuisine with a fixed menu in one of the oldest farmhouses in the Badia Valley. Situated four minutes from the centre of the pretty village of Badia, the restaurant has been run by the same family since 1645. Thanks to a long agricultural tradition and a deep connection with the land, it offers you an experience that will take you back in time, tasting the products of the farm and dining in the traditional STÜA and the cosy STANGODE. This small farmhouse represents a combination of passion and tradition, where food becomes an opportunity to taste the true Ladin culture.

    Strasserhof farm enjoys great views across the whole of the Brixen valley basin. The cosy old panelled parlour is just as impressive. Whether inside or outside, seated under the walnut tree, guests will feel at home on the Strasserhof farm. Farm Holiday guests are also welcome. Open from mid-September until the start of December. Wednesday until Friday open from 5pm and Saturday and Sunday open from 12 noon. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Advance booking required.

    Our traditional farmhouse inn offers you a cozy place to relax and recharge your batteries with a picturesque view of the Texel Group. It is particularly important to us to bring our farm products closer to our guests and to present them on our small menu. We bake fresh bread every week and serve it with South Tyrolean specialties such as the Marendbrettl with homemade bacon, smoked sausages and alpine cheese. Traditional warm dishes from our own gray cattle, delicious dumpling dishes and homemade cakes are also part of it. Come by and experience for yourself! In autumn "Törggelen" on request.

    Zmailer Hof farm looks out from the Schennerberg mountainside over the Meran valley basin and across to the Etsch river valley. It is the ideal destination for a mountain walk. Parts of the old farmhouse, such as the kitchen, hallway and pretty frescoes at the entrance to the house are under listed building protection. Guests can enjoy the tasty house specialities on the sun terrace or in the cosy farmhouse parlour. The excellent fruit juices are a treat not to be missed. Open daily from mid-March until the end of November. Closed on Fridays.

    The farm "Kinig" ist located between apple trees and Meadows. Not only do we have traditional South Tyrolean home-style cooking, but also mediterranean cuisine on request. We have our own meat and milk and produce our own cheese. The apple Juice and wine is our own. You can enjoy all this in our 400-year old Lounge or in the garden under the walnut three with a fantatic wiew of Bolzano.
