Ascent: Along the forest road for about 1.5 km. After a bend to the right, turn left onto another forest road. After another right turn, leave the forest road and walk steeply for a short distance on a trail through dense forest until you meet another forest road again, to the right of the so-called Waldhüttl (1744 m). Do not cross over to the Waldüttl, but continue straight on across an open area and then through the forest until you reach the path again Again, straight on uphill through a forest until you reach the open alpine pasture area above the forest line at two alpine huts (1822 m). Pass the alp on the right and turn diagonally right up into the long hollow. On the right a little steeper to the Saxner.
Descent: as ascent.
Important! At the left turn (in the downhill direction) at 1620 m you should not go straight down (young forest!).

Also orographically speaking to the right of the Penaudtal Valley and more southerly towards Vinschgau Valley. The ascent is also from Certosa/Karthaus into the Penaudtal Valley, as with the ski tour to the Grubenspitze, but to Mountain pasture Penaud; continue up the Penaudtal Valley, take a left at altitude 2,500 and climb the lateral valley in a south-easterly direction. On a mountain range on the border between South Tyrol and Austria, the Rotbachspitze lies far above the Pfitchscherjoch and is in the catchment area of several classic ski tours.
Route: Right behind the Gasthof Bad Bergfall you go on on the on forestall way (path n. 32) for a little while over two hairpins (direction West), then the path turns toward Sud, in Langtal. From here you easily reach a bridge that leads right over a stream. Now you can either go on on the left side of the stream, or once crossed the bridge turn left so that you will find yourself on the right side of the stream. At an high of 1700 m the ditch divides. Now you go on on the right side of the valley uphill for a while through the forest. After a while the terrain becomes flat again and you can walk through a light section of forest and then arrive to the so-called Lapedurscharte (2200 m). Right before arriving to the path sign, you have to turn right and the toward West over a bump. After other bumps, you will reach without problems the crest – unfortunately you will loose 25 m of hight – without problems in the highest point with the cross. If you will not be satisfied, you can go on along the crest and reach the Piz da Peres (2057 m ).
Moderatly difficult ski tour
Time of the year: Throughout winter
Starting point: Langtaufers/Kappl, parking lot former chair lift Maseben

In the middle of the valley continue to the foot of the mountain. Over the north slope you ascend at the beginning rather in the middle. Via Mulden you reach an even steeper slope, which is best walked up from left to right into a small gap. Over the west ridge, you walk to the summit on foot and later on skis again.
Hints: The tour requires a reasonable choice of route.
Descent: Along the ascent route. In optimal conditions, it is possible to ski down from the summit directly over the northern slope. It takes about 40 min to ski down.
Easy ski tour at the end of the Ahrntal valley.
