Avalanche danger near the ridge
From the car park take the forest road, as far as the Pfistradalm Alpine pasture. Then continue along the path for about 15 min before turning left. Initially, the route leads through a sparse forest, before coming to a steep slope past some hay barns leading to the Bärengrüblalm Alpine pasture. Keep right and ascend through several hairpin bends to reach the Unterberg-Scharte ridge. Once on the ridge, turn left over the other side to reach the summit.
Descent: Follow the same route back down into the valley.

From Meran/Merano to the Passeiertal Valley. From the centre of St. Leonhard/S. Leonardo between Stroblhof and Restaurant Martl, follow the Kirchweg until you reach the car park at Karlegg on the upper village border.
