What actually is a star, how is it formed, why does it shine, why and how does it die? Or is it not a star at all but a planet? What are galaxies and can we see them? What is it about our home galaxy, the Milky Way? And how big and how far away are the stars we see with the naked eye? Where do we find our star sign, where the most important constellations? You will get the answers to these and many other questions on this extraordinary night hike with the passionate amateur astronomer and astrophotographer Steffi Wolters. The short hike leads from the village centre of Steinegg|Collepietra via Pstosserbühl to the roof terrace of the Hotel Steineggerhof. Sustainable skiing - how does it work? Info tour of the climate ski area Carezza Dolomites with snow pioneer Georg Eisath. 40 years ago he built South Tyrol's first snow cannons. Today Georg Eisath gives us an insight into the interior of the climate ski area Carezza Dolomites on a guided ski tour. From the Hotel Moseralm, we ski to the pumping station of the reservoirs to learn more about energy-efficient snowmaking and innovative piste preparation. During the skiing on the slopes, he will explain further measures and projects on the various sustainability topics in company. End of the tour at 4 PM at the hotel Moseralm. Everyone will have enough time to return to their starting point using the lifts and skis.
