KLANGfeste: Musical Diversity in the Castle Courtyard From Viennese soul to oriental and French sounds, from Nordic folk to Mediterranean musical traditions, from vocal jazz and classical arrangements to Alpine-inspired world music. The 26th edition of the KLANGfeste summer concert series at Runkelstein Castle once again promises musical diversity with outstanding musicians. Every year, the South Tyrolean Cultural Institute curates a vibrant, varied, and high-quality music program in the picturesque courtyard of Runkelstein Castle. The concert series is made possible thanks to the excellent collaboration with the Bolzano Castles Foundation and the Castelbell Castle Board, as well as the strong financial support of the Raiffeisen Bank of Bolzano (main sponsor since the very beginning), numerous concert patrons and benefactors, and the Department of German Culture of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano. Clear the stage for the versatile world of the cello at the Cello Festival in Dorf Tirol! International cellists hold impressive concert evenings with this wonderful stringed instrument. Concert with Ronny Graupe's Szelest at the Parkhotel Holzner, Oberbozen at 11 a.m. The Polish word “Szelest” means “rustle.” Just like the rustling of the sea or trees in the wind, it is marked by unpredictable and unexpected disturbances – much like the chamber jazz of this ensemble. Concert in the framework of the South Tyrol Jazz Festival with She’s Analog at the Feltuner Hütte on the Rittner Horn at 11 a.m. A colourful potpourri - from jazz to rock, from electronic music to minimalism: the Italian band She's Analog was founded in 2018 with the clear aim of exploring the sonic possibilities of the trio, the most 'classical' of all jazz formations. Collectively conceived music with sparse compositional elements is enriched and creatively expanded by radical improvisation. The Village Festival of Ortisei takes place annually on the first Sunday after the 4th of July. The feast is dedicated to the patron saint and eponym of the parish church of Ortisei, Saint Ulrich. Saint Ulrich was appointed Bishop of Augsburg in 923 and helped the poor and sick. As Val Gardena was part of the Curia of Augsburg at that time, he was declared the patron saint of the village. According to Tyrolean custom, the church consecration festival is introduced with saluting bangs and bell ringing. The saluting bangs are loud acoustic signals that are fired in Tyrol to announce high occasions. The festival is celebrated with a Holy Mass at 9:00 am in the church of Ortisei. To celebrate the church consecration in a fitting manner, a parade with Val Gardena’s costumes and the music band of Ortisei will take place after the mass.

In Niederolang, the traditional "Pfarrlinga Kirschta" will be celebrated on July 5th and 6th – a festival full of tradition, music, dance, and conviviality. The festivities begin on the evening of July 5th with a lively atmosphere, delicious food, and captivating music. On the morning of July 6th, a solemn procession passes through the village, followed in the afternoon by a festive parade of participating brass bands, creating a vibrant and melodic highlight. A must-see event for everyone who wants to experience the rich traditions of Niederolang up close.
