Keschtnriggl - Chestnut days. The Chestnut Weeks and the Törggelen in Merano and Environs have been a South Tyrolean Tradition for years. Chestnut days in Tesimo/Tisens - Prissiano/Prissian, Foiana/Völlan and Lana gets ist Name from the "Keschtnriggl" - a hand-braided basket for Peeling roast chestnuts.
For three weeks, a colourful Event Programme is put on for visitors: Chestnut walks, torchlight processions from castle to castle and the "Keschtnfestl" feast in Foiana, with Music, farmers market, chestnut delicates and traditional crafts.
The aromatic fruit with ist spiky Shell, grows particularly well in Merano and Environs, and during this green Event has pride of place in the specialities of traditional inns and prestigious Restaurants, as well as in exquisite chestnut products such as sweet chestnut hearts, aromatic chestnut beer, hearty chestnut stollen, tasty chestnut spraed, luxuriant chestnut cake, fluffy chestnut bread, the excellent chestnut panettone as well as the noble chestnut praline.

The Language Café is a way to practise speaking a foreign language in company and in an informal environment.
At the Don Bosco Library in Laives you will find a moderator for each table, i.e. for each language. Depending on the language you want to practise in, choose your table, sit down and... start chatting! You will talk to the moderator or moderator and the other people like you sitting at that table. If you get tired, you can safely leave or change tables. In general, it is recommended that you have a basic knowledge of your chosen language in order to be able to follow the conversation and participate actively.

The feast of the town in Ferrara of Braies Valley is organized on the pre-last weekend of October. On Saturday is positioned the "Kirtamichlbam" (the traditional tree) by the no-married young boys.
In the evening is organized the "Kirtaball" (dance party) with a DJ and traditional music.
On Sunday the day begins with a good Bayern breakfast with "Weißwurst" and beer. Typical dishes are served for lunch. In the afternoon the "Kirtamichl" is taken off and around it you can listen live music: in the end you can win the traditional "Kirtamichlbam".
The “Gruppo Alpini” is organizing a "Törggelen" festivity on Sunday, 26 October, from 15:00 at the clubhouse Marling.
Food and drink as well as musical entertainment will be provided!

When there is an aroma of roast chestnuts on Schlossweg, glasses are filled with delicious wine and the local societies serve up autumnal treats, that means it's Schlossweg Festival time in Dorf Tirol. Take a leisurely walk between the stalls, enjoy the colourful autumnal landscape and celebrate rural traditions and customs with us.
If the weather is bad the festival doesn't take place.

Törggelen – in a convivial atmosphere, young wine is served along with hearty traditional dishes such as the “Schlachtplatte” (boiled meats) with sauerkraut and dumplings.
The Törggelen is rounded off with “Keschtn” – chestnuts roasted over an open fire in a special perforated pan. To crown the finale, homemade farmers’ doughnuts filled with poppy seeds, apricot jam, or chestnut jam are served.
In October, Törggelen takes place at the Restaurant by the Pond at the Prad fishpond.
Every Sunday, from 5–26 October 2025, with Schlachtplatte, and from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. with chestnuts, Suser (new wine), and doughnuts.

Within the scope of the concert series "WineSounds along the South Tyrolean Wine Road", the “Cinquino Brass Quintet” invites you to a special journey through the exquisite brass music of South Tyrol, set in the picturesque courtyard of the traditional Sternbauerhof farm in Andrian.
The five accomplished South Tyrolean musicians Günther Graber (trumpet/piccolo trumpet/flugelhorn), Fabiano Ruin (trumpet/piccolo trumpet/flugelhorn), Alexander Perathoner (horn), Hans Finatzer (trombone/euphonium) and Wolfgang Rabensteiner (tuba) present a sophisticated and captivating program of authentic brass chamber music.
Following the concert, the wines of the Andrian Winery will be showcased. The €15 ticket includes a glass of wine and a wine soup. Reservations and information are available through the Andrian Tourist Association.

The LanAntiqua Festival, organised by the LanAntiqua Association, aims to give "early music", which is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, its deserved place in the cultural life of Lana. This music, which is not limited to any epoch, covers the periods from the Middle Ages to Romanticism.
The festival's highest maxim is: original sound, i.e. the performance of the music in an appropriate sound setting on instruments of the period and with the knowledge gained from the historical performance practice handed down in treatises. Thanks to imposing venues such as the church Maria Himmelfahrt in Niederlana with its impressive altar by Hans Schnatterpeck and its special acoustics, top-class concert enjoyment is pre-programmed.

On the occasion of the feast of St. Martin, the Municipality of Bolzano, in collaboration with the Tourist Board, invites children and families from nursery and primary schools in the Centro-Piani and Rencio districts to take part in the St. Martin's parade.
The meeting point is on Tuesday 11 November at 4.30 pm in the courtyard of the Franciscan Church.
The parade will pass through Piazza Erbe and Via dei Portici, arriving in Piazza Municipio at around 5.30 pm, where the legend of St. Martin will be read and a small gift will be given to participants.
Families are invited to accompany their children, who may bring traditional St. Martin's lanterns (which must not contain open flames but be illuminated with LED lights).
