Autumn Festival of the Algund Brass Band On Sunday, October 5th, the Algund Brass Band invites you to their second Autumn Festival. Starting at 11:00 AM, enjoy a festive atmosphere with delicious food and great music. Four different music groups will provide entertainment this year: the Algund Youth Band, the philharmonic brass band from Zollernalb, a surprise new ensemble from the Algund Brass Band members, and the renowned "Fetzmusig," a brass ensemble from the Burggrafenamt that has been performing for over 20 years and includes several members of the Algund Brass Band. Culinary delights will be provided by the well-known kitchen of Gasthaus Kienegg in Vellau! The festival will continue until the early evening, and the Algund Brass Band looks forward to welcoming many visitors!

Alpine Folk Music Evening in Algund On Thursday, October 10, 2024, the Raiffeisen Hall at the house of culture Thalguter in Algund will transform into a place filled with traditional Alpine sounds. Starting at 8:30 PM, you can enjoy an evening of authentic folk music from the Alpine region, performed by outstanding music groups. On local soil, fans of the "Kastelruther Spatzen" have the opportunity to be truly enchanted. The Schlern area, home of the popular "Kastelruther Spatzen", is transformed into a festival area. The "heroes of folk music" provide - surrounded by a unique backdrop of the Dolomites - for mood at the traditional festival of the "Kastelruther Spatzen". A big parking area and an enormous festival tent are built up to celebrate with the "Kastelruther Spatzen" for three days of morning pint, autograph sessions and nice evenings. On 11th October 2025, the traditional cattle drive will once again take place in Rodeneck. The festivities will begin at 11.00 a.m at the Spritzenhütte in Nauders, where you can enjoy a welcoming atmosphere and delicious regional specialties. Around noon, the beautifully adorned cattle will make their way to the Spritzenhütte, accompanied by traditional music – a sight to behold for all ages. The local farmers’ youth and women will provide a variety of tasty local dishes and refreshments. Entertainment will be provided by the "Woazgruiba" band, while the "Ronegga Schuichplattla" will captivate the audience with their lively traditional dance performances. A special highlight of the day is the prize milking competition, where skill and speed come into play. Join us for a day of tradition, music, and culinary delights in the heart of Rodeneck – a celebration for the whole family!

Experience the “Almabtrieb” in Terento! The ceremonial driving of cattle and sheep from the green pastures back to their home farms and warm barns is a long-standing tradition in Terento. For over 100 cows, calves and sheep this event marks the end of their stay in altitude where they enjoyed the fresh mountain air, tasty grass and cool nights. The animals are adorned with bells, wreaths, fresh flowers and ornate whetstone holders and they are driven down the valley by their herders. Plünderfuhren (procession floats), Goaslkrocha (whip crackers), Schuhplattlern (folk dancers) und and musical entertainment.

On Saturday, October 11, VKE Marling invites you to the autumn children's festival and children's flea market on the Marling playground from 10:30 am! A day full of highlights for the whole family!🌟 Look forward to fun and games with the VKE play bus and colorful face painting for children. In Val Casies Valley, in the village of S. Maddalena, the traditional "Kirschta" (church day) is celebrated in autumn. We particularly recommend the "Original Obolola Almabtrieb" on Saturday afternoon. The farmers, dressed in traditional costumes, bring their livestock, such as cows, sheep and goats, directly from the mountain pastures back down to the valley. The animals are lavishly decorated with flowers, wreaths and bells. At the end of the valley, there is traditional food and musical entertainment until the end of the festival. On Sunday, the Kirchtag is celebrated with the traditional morning pint in the Club house from S. Maddalena with traditional music and local, regional specialities.

The multi-coloured autumn leaves and trees invites you with sweet ripe apples, beckon visitors to visit the Natz-Schabs High Apple Plateau. For a week in autumn, everything revolves around the apple, giving rise to a series of events. The Apple Festival is held on the second Sunday in October and is the climax of the autumn celebrations in Natz. The highlight is a big parade and the awarding of the Apple Queen title.

The Marling table tennis club invites you to the traditional "Törggelen" Festival on Sunday, October 12, from 10:00 to 18:00 on the Marling fairground. Look forward to a day full of enjoyment and good vibes! 🎉 The morning pint starts with the best entertainment from the Marling/Tscherms youth band, followed by another rousing music group. Every year after the village festival in St. Jacob, on Monday the market "Segra Sacun" will be held in the pedestrian area of Ortisei. The “Segra Sacun” market is the largest market of the year, which is filled with numerous stands that offer culinary delights and craft products. According to an ancient tradition, girls and women, on the occasion of this day, will be gifted with decorated pears as a sign of sympathy and love.

Enjoy autumnal delicacies such as roasted chestnuts and refreshing Suser (new wine). The music group „Mir & Sui“ entertains with atmospheric music.

Local Wines, Fine Delicacies, and Lively Music: In autumn, Tramin Wine Lane is all about seasonal delights and sociable gatherings. With the traditional Tramin Wine Lane, the people of Tramin celebrate the golden autumn and its treasures each year. On Saturday, October 18, 2025, visitors from near and far will once again flock to the festively decorated village lane, where all sorts of culinary delights from kitchen and cellar await tasting. Here’s how it works: After paying a €5 deposit, you’ll receive a beautiful glass bearing the Tramin coat of arms. With it, you can sample the finest wines from Tramin’s wineries at the various stands. The prices for individual wines are displayed at each stand. The celebrations of the "Wine Alleyway", in the heart of the historic centre of Termeno which is open only to pedestrians, is an appointment not to be missed: the best Traminer wines will be offered in cups made for this very occasion along with special South Tyrolean delicacies in an atmosphere of music and folklore.

Experience the autumnal tradition of South Tyrol at the popular Törggelen Festival in St. Oswald! Enjoy traditional dishes, exquisite wines and live music. From 11 a.m. you will be served typical Törggelen specialties by the St. Oswald fire brigade. Various music groups play from 11:30 am.

The "Welsberger Kirta" starts with the festive parade of the Music village band of Monguelfo at 10:45 am. through the Village center. During the Chestnut Days "KESCHTNRIGGL", everything revolves around the "Tisner Kescht" (Chestnut of Tesimo). During the Chestnut Days, menus in selected restaurants feature specially created chestnut dishes. The chestnut is the protagonist of numerous events during the Chestnut Days KESCHTNRIGGL.

Keschtnriggl - Chestnut days. The Chestnut Weeks and the Törggelen in Merano and Environs have been a South Tyrolean Tradition for years.
