Pleasure on the mountain

The hut is located on the Trentino side right under the Sassolungo. We have 12 beds in comfort rooms with own bathroom and 30 more beds in typical tyrolean rooms with sharing bathrooms. The refuge has boot warmers, clothes dryer and e-bike refills with the possibility to put the bikes indoors, a modern ski-room and a private ski-lift that takes you directly to the Dolomiti Superski slopes 12 resorts and 1200km of slopes and the famous Sellaronda without cold morning queues. Our cuisine is typical with a touch of modernity, many dishes offered come from our organic farms in Highlander, the largest in Italy. Access: from Campitello di Fassa via the Col Rodella cable car, then descending for 10 minutes along the path that leads to Sasso Piatto or from Passo Sella taking the Friedrich August path in 30 minutes you arrive at the refuge. Our hut is located on the same-named mountain Stevia (2.312 m), in the natural park Puez Geisler and in the UNESCO world natural heritage. Enjoy with good local cuisine our comfortable atmosphere and our unique location with a breath-taking panorama view.

Enjoy traditional and local dishes and the beautiful view from our panoramic-sun-terrace. From Weißenbach/Rio Bianco we are easily reachable in an approx. 20 minute walk. The trail is also suitable for baby strollers.There is a large sandbox for the children. Our hut is also reachable by mountainbike.

In the cold season a prepared winter hiking trail, a cross country track and a toboggan run – which are also illuminated - lead to our hut.

For groups of 8 or more people - open in the evenings by reservation.

Our Restaurant is located directly at the skilift at Dobbiaco and at the cross-country track who goes to Villabassa. In the summer our restaurant is located in the middle of a field. Our cuisine is very famous for tipical dishes

The RIFUGIO TONI DEMETZ is located in the heart of the Dolomites, majestically embedded between the peaks of the SASSOLUNGO and the CINQUE DITA (5 Fingers) on the high rocky pass of the FORCELLA DEL SASSOLUNGO. We are here in midst of an ancient coral reef where more than 220 million years ago flowed the Tethys Sea. The RIFUGIO TONI DEMETZ is the ideal starting point for many trekking, hiking and rock climbing routes. Also a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature and the breathtaking and charming scenery of the Dolomites declared as a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site in 2009. In 1954, the mountain guide Giovanni Demetz wanted to build here a refuge, a shelter from wind, rain and snow, a restoring place where you can admire the surrounding landscape from. With great passion and dedication, Enrico Demetz, Giovanni's youngest son, still runs the refuge together with his wife and daughters.

From its large trademark windows, you can admire an enchanting panorama of the Sassolungo and the Cir and Sella groups from dawn to dusk. Dantercepies Mountain Lounge enjoys a fascinating location, easily reachable from the famous mountain resort of Selva di Val Gardena via a single lift. During the ascent on the modern Dantercepies cable car, a spectacular scenery will open before your eyes, until you reach our panoramic terrace. If you arrive at Passo Gardena by car, you can reach us on foot or using the comfortable Cir chairlift. Our Alpine Restaurant/Bar is located at the foot of the Sassolungo with spectacular views of the Sella Group. We take great pride in our home cooking and our specialities. We have a lovely sunny terrace with plenty of deck chairs for sunbathing and relaxing after a hard days skiing or walking. In the winter months we have Italian specialities like Pasta, Pasta & Fagioli (Bean & Pasta soup), Tyrolean dishes and home-made Strudel which can be served on our sunny terrace.

Our hut is situated on the Sella Pass in the middle of the breathtaking Dolomites scenery. Thanks to its position between Val Gardena and Val di Fassa, you can enjoy a fantastic 360° view. In winter you can reach us directly via the Sellaronda. In summer, however, you can reach us either from the Sella Pass after a comfortable 25-minute walk or from Campitello di Fassa with the Col Rodella cable car and after a 20-minute walk downhill towards the Sella Pass. Another option to reach us is by bike in 10 minutes from the Sella Pass or downhill from the Col Rodella cable car towards the Sella Pass in only 5 minutes. A large selection of creative culinary dishes from South Tyrolean and Italian cuisine awaits you here. Also pizza lovers will not miss out(only winter). Panorama Hut is situated in Selva di Val Gardena near the Passo Gardena at an altitude of 2130 meters. Our mountain hut is located at 1905 m at the Juac alp, above Selva in Val Gardena. Embedded in fresh meadows, our hut is the ideal place to relax and to escape the stress. Just lay back, enjoy the fresh air, our traditional dishes and the amazing view of the sourrounding mountains of Val Gardena. Ambiente The hut is pretty easy to reach by foot and by bike. Our cottage is located at the Sella Pass in the heart of the Dolomites mountains with a wonderful panoramic view of the Marmolada glaciar, the Sella massiv and the Sassolungo group. The Sella Pass forms together with the Pordoi Pass, the Gardena Pass and the Campolongo Pass the four-pass-trip, known from the skiers and the treckers as the "Sellaronda".

The Puez hut was built in 1889 by the Austro-German section of the Alpenverein. After the First World War it passed to the Bolzano section of the CAI which, in 1940, handed it over to the well-known alpine guide Pietro Costa, an expert ski instructor and passionate hunter. Costa ran the hut until 1989 and then passed the helm to his children Oscar and Gemma. With the passing of the years and the explosion of high-altitude tourism, needs changed. In order to adapt to the times, the CAI decided to build a new, larger and more modern hut next to the old building. Thus it was that on 8th August 1982, in the presence of the then President of the Republic Sandro Pertini, the new Puez Refuge was inaugurated. In 2024 the Puez hut passed into the hands of the next generation and is now managed by Costa Denis, Pietro Costa's grandson. Assisted by his wife and two daughters, Denis carries on his grandfather's legacy with love and passion.
