Picnicking beneath the palms and the starry skies. On three balmy summer evenings, guests can enjoy a picnic basket of tasty treats by the water lily pond. With upbeat live music and breathtaking surroundings to accompany you, unforgettable picnicking fun in the greenery is a guarantee! Just choose a date and the number of baskets (one basket for 2 people). Admission (Summer Nights ticket from 6:00 PM: 10,00€) is to be paid in addition to the basket price. Discovery of Ladin traditions and culture. On a leisurely excursion, we will immerse ourselves in the local world and visit a historical farmstead, seeing archaic but also modern tools used by the locals to carry out various activities. The production of some typical products will also be presented and explained, followed by a tasting session.

A wonderful evening entirely dedicated to Caldaro’s white wines. Fresh, fruity, with nuances going from greenish to bright yellow and hints of apple, banana or pineapple. South Tyrolean white wines are amongst Italy’s best wines. A unique occasion to taste the very best of South Tyrolean’s wine road. Through a “blind tasting” a jury of experts and wine connoisseurs carefully chooses the wines which will be presented during this event. Sight, smell and taste – these are the three senses that will be the leading characters of this wonderful summer evening.

Every Tuesday evening, the traditional artisan and farmers' market takes place in S. Cristina, offering visitors the chance to experience the diversity of South Tyrolean craftsmanship. In addition to showcasing traditional products, there are opportunities to taste and purchase a variety of specialties. A musical program provides the perfect atmospheric accompaniment.

During a herbal walk, we learn about the most important local plants and their uses. We then make a tincture and an oil extract with plant material under instruction. We then use these extracts to make various products together (e.g. lip balm, insect bite roller, ointment ...). Afterwards, the participants can take home 1 product of each of the treasures they have made (with the corresponding instructions for production and recipe). Have you ever tasted authentic South Tyrolean speck on a crispy “Breatl” with a stunning mountain backdrop? Our Speckbread Hike starts at the Olang 1+2 mid-station at 2000 m and leads you through several culinary stops amidst the breathtaking nature of the Dolomites. A special treat awaits you at the end: freshly sliced speck served on warm oven-baked bread. The hike is self-guided but well-marked and easy to follow. Along the circular trail, you’ll also discover how speck and bread were made in the old days.

You have the opportunity to get to know the best wines, to taste them and to be introduced to the world of South Tyrolean viticulture by an expert sommelier. ONLY in GERMAN and ITALIEN language!

Our events is entirely dedicated to the Tyrolean sounds of our local music bands. In addition, visitors can also expect performances by our local Bavarian folk dance and folk dance groups on some evenings.

Activities with the ambassadors of the Ladin tradition. A fascinating journey into the world of traditional cheesemaking. The tour begins with a visit to the farm, an authentic place where history and tradition come to life. Guests will then experience the art of cheesemaking in an award-winning dairy, observing the different stages of production and exploring the facilities where this exceptional product is crafted. The experience ends with a delicious tasting of handcrafted cheeses, offering a true taste of the mountains. A must-do for those who appreciate tradition and authentic flavors! At the successful event series, various associations are again at the start this year and provide good entertainment, drinks & snacks. There are three atmospheric evenings in common.

From 25 June to 06 August, the Nives Square in Selva will host the traditions and tastes market, where you can admire the beauty of local handicrafts and taste and purchase regional delicacies.

A variety of medicinal plants, wild, flowering and aromatic herbs thrive in the mountain herb garden at the "Wiesenhof" in Pawigl. During a guided tour of the show garden, you will learn how they are used and what effect they have on the human body. In addition to medicinal teas, tinctures and ointments, these valuable natural resources can be used to make tasty wild herb delicacies, which you can enjoy with the group after the tour. ONLY GERMAN AND ITALIAN SPEAKING GUIDES! Baking together traditional bread in a wood-burning oven is fun and not difficult. The farmers demonstrate step by step how to mix all ingredients to form a dough. People are invited to lend a hand, and while the dough rises, they may discover the farm, the garden and the animals such as cows, calves, pigs and rabbits. Finally, the loaves will be baked in a wood-burning oven and, afterwards, tasted together. An interesting and exciting experience for the whole family! Meeting point: Information office in Teis at the Mineral Museum at 9.00 am - half day - also in case of rain The farm is 2 km outside the village. Shopping on hot summer eventings - June to August is the time of the "long shopping evenings" in the centre of Lana. These evenings are a meeting point for locals and guests to stroll and browse through the shops. Shopping until late in the evening - this is what is on offer in Lana on the balmy summer evenings from 29 June to 17 August 2023: In the pedestrian zone Lana am Gries, visitors can look forward to eight "long shopping evenings" with shops open until 9 pm. In the pedestrian zone, shopping becomes a very special experience: stroll through the pedestrian zone, discover a wide range of offers in the numerous shops, enjoy the evening... For a break in between, the cosy cafés and restaurants invite you to linger.

An unforgettable mountain experience for gourmets and nature lovers: take the Rosskopf cable car and the panorama lift up to 2,200 m to the legendary wishing bell. Once rung, it carries your wishes over the peaks of the Alps. We then take a leisurely hike to the Telfer Almen and on to the rustic Kuhalm - where you will be treated to a grey cheese tasting. Return via a leisurely hiking trail to the mountain station. Number of participants: minimum 4; maximum 15 people Registration deadline: Wednesday no later than 5:00 p.m.

On a guided exploration walk through the vineyards with winemaker Michl, you will learn everything knowing about wine: from its history and cultivation to grape varieties and marketing. At the end of the tour, you can taste South Tyrolean wines and discover the aromas and flavors of the region. The guided tour will be in German.

Have you ever tasted real farmers’ butter on freshly baked South Tyrolean bread with a stunning mountain view? This hike starts at the Olang 1+2 mid-station at 2,000 m and leads you along a well-marked trail with several stops to a traditional wood-fired oven. The hike is not guided, but the route is clearly signposted.
