Ice Skating Fun in the Heart of Algund Starting Saturday, November 30, and continuing through mid-January 2025, ice skating enthusiasts can glide across the ice, practicing spins while improving endurance, coordination, and balance. Beginners are also welcome to join in the fun and can rent skates on-site. Just grab your hat, scarf, and gloves, and you’re ready to go! If your hands get chilly despite all the activity, you can warm up with a hot drink and a snack from the food stand. From Friday 29.11 to Monday 6th January 2025, many activities will await the little ones at Cappuccini Park. These will include readings of popular and Christmas fairy tales, cooking and handicraft workshops, puppet theatre, shows, and shadow theatre.

The Merano Christmas Market provides a magical atmosphere, with daily concerts, children’s entertainment, local customs and handicrafts. There are other Christmas markets in Merano and Environs too, offering textiles, jewelry, ceramics, glass and wooden objects. Closed on 25th December.

Maybe it’s the special atmosphere or the wonderful memories that let us love the Christmastime, but also the Christmas bells spread the magic – it’s simply the happiest time of the year. Sterzing in the north of Southtyrol is surrounded by the beautiful sound of ringing bells in all its forms and sounds. The hollow and smooth sound of the church bells, or even the friendly bells of local cows and farm animals – every bell has his own importance. Christmas in Sterzing is all about joyful bells with their warming sounds.

From April to October, local associations prepare fresh tirtln (fried stuffed pastry) on site on a weekly basis. This means that every Saturday is also a culinary experience. This market has been a popular, lively meeting place for locals and guests for 30 years.

Lunika's Christmas Dance Show The young talents of the Lunika Dance School will bring the magic of Christmas to the Christmas market in Algund! On Friday, December 13th, at 3:00 PM, the children's group, led by Veronika, will showcase their dancing skills and invite visitors to be enchanted by the festive atmosphere – the little dancers are truly magical! Afterward, the children will have the opportunity to join in and become part of this enchanting moment.

It's going to be magical - at the Christmas radio programme! A charity event organised by Radio Holiday, the Bruneck Youth Service and the Bruneck Kronplatz Tourismus. The proceeds go to the Regenbogen children's charity. Lots of music, lots of guests, lots of fun.
