The golden autumn has given up its colorful place and left the stage to winter for the most contemplative time of the year. With a promising tone, lights and angels, Christmas trees and a small Christmas market announce the holiday season in Kaltern, which makes the most of its smaller size with nothing lacking. A contemplative village stroll if desired, enjoying wine and fine treats in festive garb, embedded in culinary traditions with both old customs and new practices that will join them. A celebration of joy, sharing, and community, surrounded by music and hospitality in the heart of Kaltern.

The Tyrolean Advent in the Castle will be taking place in the historic ambience of Tyrol Castle. Tyrol Castle provides an atmospheric backdrop for a genuine South Tyrolean Christmas experience. Local exhibitors will present traditional handicrafts such as felting, pottery, turning, spinning, braiding, dyeing and the production of ceramics or jewelry in the castle's rooms. There will be a well-balanced program of events for visitors every day during Advent in the Castle: whilst crackling fires make for a cozy atmosphere, food stands will offer traditional dishes, baked goods and drinks. The Christmas market will also be attended by choirs and music groups, and there will also be all kinds of entertainment for children.

On November 29 and 30 and from December 6 to 8, 2025, Schenna Castle transforms into a charming meeting place for lovers of good food and festive atmosphere: Advent at Schenna Castle combines culinary delights, traditional craftsmanship, and the magic of the pre-Christmas season in a unique way. Under the motto “Dishes with a Story”, a food stall serves traditional meals from days gone by – authentically prepared and with a deep love for South Tyrolean cuisine. High-quality exhibitors present regional products all centered around fine food – from handmade specialties to delightful gift ideas for gourmets. Ancient crafts come to life on site: watch, discover, and marvel at how things used to be made. A lovingly designed children’s program awaits our youngest guests, making Advent at Schenna Castle a special experience for the whole family. Let yourself be enchanted by a magical Advent season full of flavor, nostalgia, and festive charm – at Advent at Schenna Castle.

The Small Christmas Market at the Cultural Centre offers a cosy and festive afternoon filled with local flavours, crafts, and holiday cheer.
Local producers will showcase their handmade goods, regional delicacies, and creative gift ideas – perfect for finding something special.

Starting at 2:00 p.m., the KlangArt Choir will provide the musical backdrop, filling the space with joyful Christmas melodies.

Birgit & Friends present themselves as a charming duo, where perfect harmonies, warmth, and musical heart create a special atmosphere. Their joint performance feels familiar, light, and inviting.

GLORENZA ADVENT MARKET

Under the motto "Lights-Smells-Sounds" the Advent market will finally take place again in Glurns.
Time for contemplation and culinary highlights.
With the medieval backdrop and the romantic alleys of the town, this Advent market is unique. It is characterized by contemplative and musical moments with brass groups and choirs. More than 45 merchants offer their self-produced and handcrafted goods.
There will alsobe pre-Christmas crafts, fairy tales and Punch and Judy shows for children.
The gastronomic stalls spoil the visitors with culinary delights and warm drinks.

Flea market - used items from the household, cellar and attic fill the flea market stall and make you want to rummage and haggle in Oberlana, Marktplatz Lorenzerweg Lana car park, 6.00-19.00 (Registration for stand operators under mobile +39 335 612 708 9).

The profits from the stall rents go to needy families in Lana and the surrounding area.

The flea market takes place at the parking area of the bar Colla (close to the playground) in via Mainardo 172.

At eight lovingly decorated stalls, you’ll find mulled wine, delicious Christmas cookies, handcrafted decorations, jams, wooden crafts, and much more.

Live music creates a festive atmosphere, filling the square with Christmas sounds. Even the little visitors are not forgotten: right next to the Christmas market, the ice skating rink is open daily.

The church square sparkles in christmas lights, soft Christmas music and the smell of mulled wine and fresh pastries wafts through the air - on Friday, November 29th, it's finally time: the Algund Christmas Market opens its doors.

18 stalls and two food stands are eagerly waiting to sweeten your Advent season with regional crafts, hot drinks, and traditional dishes. The diverse offerings will be rounded off with musical performances, a show kitchen on Saturday evening, the large gingerbread house from the Tauber bakery, a children's program, and of course, the ever-popular ice skating rink.

Authentic and Traditional – The Ritten Christmas Market. The Ritten Christmas Market enchants visitors with beautifully decorated stalls, high-quality handicrafts, atmospheric music, and local specialties. A varied programme of events and children’s activities makes a visit to the Ritten Christmas Train Market (Rittner Christbahnl) an unforgettable experience, turning the Advent and Christmas season into something truly special. The Ritten Christmas Train Market at the Oberbozen railway station, in the historic Plattner Beekeeping Museum in Wolfsgruben, and in the village centre of Klobenstein is open during Advent and Christmas time on Fridays from 2 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Ritten Railway connects the three locations every 30 minutes. On all opening days: Nativity scene exhibition at the historic Plattner Farm in Wolfsgruben. On Saturdays and Sundays: Horse-drawn carriage rides from Klobenstein station to the village centre, introductory pony riding, and llama and pony walks in Oberbozen. Fresh vegetables and fruits, eggs, spices, cheese, honey, wine, juice….and many more quality products cultivated and produced in Kaltern are being sold from 8 am to noon on the Square of the town. Come by and experience the taste of nature.
All these products have been produced and are being sold by the local farmers themselves.
In a matter of fact South Tyrol enjoys of a very good reputation as far as the production of quality products is concerned. Thanks to the accurate cultivation methods and the strict hygenic regulations there is no doubt that these goods are of the highest quality and of the best taste.
