    Starting point: Flading, Racines di Dentro (1.482m) The mountain pasture Klammalm can be reached via Flading. You can either drive to the valley by car or walk across the Ratschinger Almenweg to the end of the valley. Walking time Bichl-Flading: approx. 1,5 hrs. from Flading you reach the Klammalm, following the marked trail no. 12 to the mountain pasture. Alternative: reachable also across the Ratschinger Almenweg

    The Kälberalm, located at an impressive altitude of 2,248 meters, is a true gem in the picturesque landscape of Sulden. This idyllic alpine pasture offers not only a refreshing break in nature but also a magnificent panorama that makes the heart of every mountain lover skip a beat. From here, breathtaking views of the majestic trio Ortler, Zebru, and Königspitze unfold, with their imposing peaks reaching towards the sky, creating an extraordinary backdrop for hikers and nature enthusiasts. The Kälberalm is easily accessible via hiking trails No. 18 and 19, which meander through a diverse alpine landscape. The well-marked routes are suitable for both experienced hikers and families, inviting everyone to fully enjoy the unspoiled nature. Whether taking a break at the pasture or during the ascent, the view of the surrounding mountains is simply spectacular, making a visit to the Kälberalm an unforgettable experience.

    In the Arunda valley on the Laatscheralm alpine pasture (2049 m) family Frank is looking forward to you and spoils you with simple homemade dishes. The alpine pasture can be reached by a leisurely hike of just under 2 hours along the gently ascending forest path, starting above Schleis/Clusio, or for the more agile walkers via the steeper shortcuts. (sig). The Laatscher Alm alpine pasture is also part of the 360° circular hiking trail - on the 8th stage, you head for the alp on the way to the Joch on the west side of the Monterodes mountain. By bike it is reachable in about 1.5 h. Open from mid-May to early October.

    The K2 Hut is located at an altitude of 2,350 m, directly at the mountain station of the Langenstein chairlift. This location offers not only breathtaking views but also the opportunity to fully enjoy the fresh mountain air. The terrace of the mountain restaurant, which stands out for its unique archi-tectural design, invites you to bask in the sun in a relaxed atmosphere – with a direct view of the impressive Ortler. The menu at the K2 Hut is diverse: daily specials, juicy steaks, and delicious fish specialties are served, delighting both gourmets and hikers. A special highlight is the homemade apple strudel, which should never be missed during a visit. The K2 Hut is accessible via hiking trails 3 and 4. Alternatively, you can also conveniently reach the hut by the Langenstein chairlift.

    The Kanzel Hut is located at an altitude of 2,350 m, right next to the mountain station of the Kanzel cable car. This excellent location makes it a popular destination for hikers and mountain lovers. The Kanzel restaurant offers a diverse menu that ranges from classic dishes to delicious pasta variations and fresh salads. Particularly famous is the renowned Kaiserschmarrn, served here to perfection and a true delight for every palate. The bright, modern bar furnished with wood invites guests to linger and offers breathtaking views of Sulden and the impressive mountain world surrounding King Ortler. Here, you can unwind after an adventurous hike and fully enjoy the beauty of nature. The Kanzel Hut is easily accessible via hiking trails No. 5, 11, and 12. Alternatively, you can also conveniently reach the hut by the Kanzel or Rosim (open only in winter) cable car.

Here, where the limestone summits of the Rotwand, the peaks of the Sexten Dolomites and the immense Dreischusterspitze reach up into the skies and seem close enough to touch, every day’s holiday holds a wealth of emotions and adventures…

    The Tabaretta Hut lies on the “Marltschneid”, the Marlt ridge, directly on the way to the Payer Hut. It is a popular hiking destination, a pleasant viewpoint, and an important base for mountaineers climbing the Ortler North Face. From our sunny terrace you can enjoy the beautiful view to the impressive Ortler North Face, the Tabaretta fixed rope route, the Sasvenna Alps and the Ötztaler Alps. The lakes of Reschen and St. Valentin seem to be in reaching distance. Open from early June to mid-October.

    The Malga Laranzer Schwaige is situated in 1925 m at Saltria near the station on top of the Floralpina skilift. The Hans & Paula Steger Path, which leads you from Compatsch via meadow and alpine places to Saltria, passes directly the Malga Laranzer Schwaige. The panoramic view to Saltria, the Lang- and Plattkofel and the mountains of Val Gardena is wonderful!

    The Upper Stelvio pasture is located at an altitude of 2,077 m, above the idyllic mountain village of Stelvio. From here, a breathtaking view of the majestic Ortler and the surrounding mountain landscape unfolds, enchanting every visitor. The alpine pasture is not only a popular spot for nature lovers but also a culinary highlight. In the warm kitchen, delicious South Tyrolean specialties are served that delight the palate and are perfect for recharging after a hike. The Upper Stelvio pasture also serves as a starting point for numerous hikes, including the popular route to Piz Chavalatsch. The beautiful hiking trails offer not only spectacular views but also the opportunity to experience the untouched nature of the Stelvio National Park. The alpine pasture is conveniently accessible via trail No. 6 from the Fragges wildlife park or via trail No. 4 from the Trafoi chairlift, each taking about 2 hours to reach.

    Relax in the small hut after a leisurely walk. Soak up the sun and try the tasty dumplings and poppy-seed or jam doughnuts. The Tuene hut is situated on the Hans-and-Paula-Steger trail.

    The Madritsch Hut is located in Solda, below the Madritsch Pass in the middle of the mountain world around King Ortles. The hut can be reached via the large Solda panoramic cable car to the mountain station at 2,610 m. The family-friendly hiking trail along the summer pasture of Reinhold Messner's yaks takes you to the Madritsch Hut (2,820 m) in around 1 hour. On the sun terrace you will be enchanted by Tyrolean specialties and the breathtaking mountain scenery. The Madritsch hut, which is typically furnished with wood, was largely rebuilt in 2017 and furnished in a modern style. The kitchen spoils you with traditional South Tyrolean & Italian dishes such as Tyrolean dumplings, Schlutzkrapfen and delicious Kaiserschmarrn. In the Yak Bar, hot chocolate or coffee awaits you and in Europe’s highest igloo, cool beer, Willi afterwards and great après-ski music await you. Enjoy the unique view of the Ortler Group from the sun terrace.
