Advantage Card: Ritten Card
The local mountain of South Tyrol's capital city is easy to ascend with the Renon cable car, providing a fantastic, 360° view of Dolomite peaks, hikes from vineyards all the way up to 2,200 m, and the earth pyramids, a unique natural phenomenon. Holidaymakers will find particularly diverse vegetation due to the various elevations on this sunny high plateau as well as numerous possibilities for being active: The entire spectrum is available, from simple strolls to the many farmhouse inns to skiing in the Rittner Horn ski area. A ride with the narrow-gauge railway is a particularly rewarding experience. It was built in 1907 to connect the villages of Santa Maria Assunta/Maria Himmelfahrt, Soprabolzano/Oberbozen, Costalovara/Wolfsgruben, Stella di Renon/Lichtenstern, and Collalbo/Klobenstein.
