ANGER: Album-Releaseshow „Bau a Stodt au über die Wolken..."
    Bolzano/Bozen, Bolzano/Bozen and environs
The third album by the pop duo ANGER from Bressanone is perhaps their sweetest, most sensitive and fragile work to date. It is an album that speaks of love, nature and death. An album that moves between urban pop and living room recitals. Between folk, avant-garde, acoustic and electronic. Between high and low. ANGER – Julian Angerer and Nora Pider. Together with Fabian and Manuel Pichler, they present their new songs live as a quartet for the first time in South Tyrol. They return to a small theatre, a place where the closeness between the band and the audience is palpable. Where everything is authentic and handmade. Where it all began.

Theatre play in italian - Resto qui
    Meran/Merano, Meran/Merano and environs
Trina and Erich. A young woman, a man. Two voices. Two witnesses. Two victims. We are in Curon in the Vinschgau Valley, just a few kilometers from the Austrian border. The beautiful novel Resto qui by Marco Balzano becomes a theatrical play with two characters and many more voices, brought to life by the bodies and mastery of Arianna Scommegna and Mattia Fabris: they are Trina and Erich, witnesses, victims, and, when necessary, even executioners. They are the witnesses of an entire community wiped out in the name of progress and a dam that was almost useless—except to erase the lives of some hundreds of families who had resisted everything, including the First and Second World Wars, changes of nationality, fascism, and forced choices. “Through a dramaturgical weave of narrated parts and dialogues, this yet another ugly chapter of Italian history unfolds. A simple, lean staging: as Melville would have written it, ancient and melancholic. A story of dirty hands and tenacity, anger, violence, and remorse. Sketches. The story of simple women and men who did not accept surrender and now—before the Tribunal of Humanity and for a daughter who is no longer there—relive their long and humiliating defeat,” writes Francesco Niccolini, author and director of the play. The two protagonists, husband and wife, each tell their own version of the story: between Fontamara and Rashomon, there will be partly coinciding, partly different and complementary versions that will compose a pale and painful but dignified picture to present to the audience. Because you can lose the battle, but not be defeated: this is exactly what happens to Trina. By Marco Balzano Theatrical adaptation and direction by Francesco Niccolini With Arianna Scommegna and Mattia Fabris Set design: Antonio Panzuto Costumes: Emanuela Dall’Aglio Lighting: Alessandro Verazzi Original music: Dimitri Grechi Espinoza Production: Teatro Stabile di Bolzano, Piccolo Teatro di Milano – Teatro d’Europa

    RIAS Kammerchor Berlin
    Brixen/Bressanone, Brixen/Bressanone and environs
The RIAS Chamber Choir Berlin under Kaspars Putnins presents the program Palestrina 500 – Pärt 90, combining works by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina (born 500 years ago) with those of Arvo Pärt (born 90 years ago). Both composers are united by the fact that words are at the center of their work. The Missa Papae Marcelli is a masterpiece that, on the one hand, takes into account the intelligibility of the text, but on the other hand is so artfully crafted that it became stylistically influential for many subsequent mass settings. Pärt's works are compelling in their simplicity and have an almost mystical character. Kaspars Putnins, conductor Palestrina 500 –Pärt 90 Pärt “Solfeggio” Palestrina “Kyrie” Pärt “Nunc dimitis” Palestrina “Gloria” Pärt “Magnificat” Palestrina “Credo” Pärt “Dopo la vittoria” Palestrina “Sanctus, Benedictus” Pärt “The Woman with the Alabaster Box” Palestrina “Agnus Dei I & II”

"Kothreine" market in Mühlen in Taufers/Molini di Tures
Sand in Taufers/Campo Tures, Ahrntal/Valle Aurina
When late November fills the air of Molini di Tures with the scent of roasted chestnuts and mulled wine, the Saint Catherine Market brings the village to life. The traditional fair transforms the streets into a scene of music, dance, craftsmanship, and regional flavours such as cheese, speck, and honey. Among the most popular delicacies are Melchamuis, a sweet, creamy blend of milk, flour, and butter, and Schöttina Kropfn, crispy fried pastries filled with poppy seeds or chestnuts. People meet, chat, laugh, and enjoy the festive atmosphere together. What is now a beloved village celebration has deep roots: as early as the 17th century, farmers and craftsmen gathered here to sell their goods. Even today, the reading of the ancient market decree in Benjamin Square brings the past to life – a moment when history can be felt and tradition continues to thrive.

Culture as a Commons Museion Academy – Internationales Symposium
    Bolzano/Bozen, Bolzano/Bozen and environs
How can cultural institutions or initiatives convert their social responsibility into effective, lasting impact – beyond symbolic gestures – in the face of accelerating ecological, social, and political transformations? And crucially: who participates in defining this mandate? These urgent questions lie at the heart of Culture as a Commons, a three-day international forum that brings together 12 selected cultural initiatives from the Netherlands and Italy. In the framework of this gathering at Museion, they will open up and share best practice strategies, visions, and formats beyond institutional boundaries, exploring culture as a common good – as a space of “commoning”. Rather than codifying fixed answers, the forum seeks to uncover both potential and limitations in current cultural work, through foregrounding experimental formats, porous collaborations, and gentle forms of activism. It encourages situated, responsive strategies to address challenges of social relevance, participation, and sustainability, including those raised in the 2022 redefinition of the museum by the International Council of Museums (ICOM). True to its spirit, this particular symposium represents a commons itself: it is participatory, publicly accessible, and invites cultural practitioners from diverse backgrounds – as well as everyone who sees culture as an inclusive and collective practice and a catalyst for social change – to engage, exchange, and reflect. The program will include not only discussions and workshops but also moments of shared experience, care, and wellbeing – dancing included.
