On 23 October 2025, the Eppan Tourist Association invites you to an atmospheric evening at Freudenstein Castle – a cultural highlight that uniquely combines music, photography and Eppan’s culinary delights. Experience the impressive concert Folk Songs by the renowned Windkraft Ensemble, conducted by Johann Finatzer, which takes the audience on a musical journey through various cultures with works by Luciano Berio and Simone Spagnolo. At the center of the performance is the expressive soprano Maria Eleonora Caminada, whose versatility and stage presence will captivate the audience. She is accompanied by the Windkraft Ensemble – consisting of flute, clarinet, viola, violoncello, harp and two percussionists – a formation that brings out the rich character of international folk songs. The program also includes Claude Debussy’s masterpiece Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune, whose impressionist tone perfectly complements the vivid folk melodies. Enjoy excellent Eppan wines from the Stroblhof winery and be inspired by the accompanying photo exhibition by local photographer Erwin Flor – an experience for all the senses. We take the Hirzer cable car up to the mountain station – the starting point for our scenic hike with guaranteed views. Autumn here is at its finest: golden larches, crisp mountain air, and breathtaking vistas that invite you to pause and breathe deeply. Our trail leads us across glowing alpine meadows to Mahdalm, where a well-earned rest awaits. The 73rd edition of the Trento Film Festival in Bolzano is realized with the contribution of the City of Bolzano and the support of the Culture Office. The exhibition seeks to make these hidden experiences visible and invites reflection on the social, political, and symbolic mechanisms that render such work invisible.

We are delighted with the great success of the current theatre production “NACHTLAND” and have added three special encore performances. The bitterly ironic play, featuring Brigitte Knapp, Eva Kuen, Karin Verdorfer, Markus Oberrauch, and Peter Schorn, will return to the stage on Thursday 23rd, Friday 24th, and Saturday 25th October. The play was written by Marius von Mayenburg, directed by Christian Mair, with set and costume design by Andrea Kerner.

At the Algund Farmers' Market from October 23rd to 26th, fresh, regional, and homemade products from all over South Tyrol will be showcased and offered for sale. Join us and be inspired by the variety of agricultural products. Fresh chestnuts will be roasted daily. Two farmers will provide visitors with homemade dishes and serve freshly harvested wines and drinks from their own production. A special program with live music will round off the event.

"Boom '70" takes you back to a time of upheaval and economic growth in South Tyrol during the 1970s and 1980s. Modern travelers now arrive by car, reaching even more remote regions.
