Hiking in the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site

On the trail of the history of the Earth

The beauty of the Dolomites cannot be described in words – it has to be experienced. A leisurely hike or a challenging Alpine tour will reveal the “Pale Mountains” in close-up: a keen eye might perhaps reveal a small fossil, a relic of the time when today's mountain peaks were part of a large tropical sea. Particularly impressive views of the Dolomites, a World Heritage Site, can be enjoyed from the top of the Strudlkopf in Dobbiaco/Toblach or from Mastlé above Santa Cristina/St. Christina in the Val Gardena valley.
