Bread baking at the Museum: From 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. there will be a demonstration of how bread was baked according to a traditional Passeiertal Valley recipes. Visitors can watch our expert Museum bakers at work as they answer your questions and happily trade tips with those in the know. Participation with tasting and mini-guided tour is included in the admission price.

Under the aspect of "animal welfare," Anneliese and Andreas produce the products of Pfitscher Gaumenfreuden. Join us on an exciting discovery journey to the "Reichmessnerhof" in St. Jakob in Pfitsch. See how chickens, pigs, and cattle live in their free-range enclosures. During a tasting, you can enjoy the various products. The farm shop and the beautiful Pfitsch Valley invite you to explore and experience. The Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park also has a heart, and that is called Braies Lake. The Braies Lake is located in an untouched rock basin and is overlooked by the majestic Seekofel, it is also considered the most beautiful lake in the Dolomites. To see it all, a walk of one and a half hours on the easy circular path is enough. For our spring special and autumn special, we offer you the opportunity to book a seat on the bus that will take you directly to Braies Lake. Here you will have the opportunity to hike and stroll on your own for a few hours before returning to San Vigilio.

The night sky has fascinated humans since ancient times. With an expert eye you can discover many things about stars, planets and constellations. Julian, an astronomy enthusiast, takes us with him during this night observation taking advantage of the total darkness to admire the beauty of the universe.

As the third most important "farm" animal (after cattle and pigs), bees pollinate 80% of our crops. Marc-Alexandre Dumoulin is Villa Arnica's resident artist for 2024. With his painting he is constantly searching for the incomprehensible, and the surface of the canvas is for him a kind of building site where, as he digs deeper and deeper, the image emerges. Dumoulin's paintings, drawings and etchings are thoughts that reveal their complexity through the sensual connection of colours, themes and formats. Dumoulin studied painting at Canada's Concordia University in Montreal and at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design in London. He holds a doctorate from the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, where he lives and works. The artist will be interviewed by Hannes Egger. (In German)

The Museum has over 2000 typewriters, making it one of the world's largest collections. The next leg involves a challenging ascent to the "Dursterhof" hut, rewarding us with a delightful lunch break and a tasty snack. Energized, we pedal back through Tell to our starting point in Algund. From Kohlern, a small, beautifully situated hamlet above Bolzano, we head into the Weihertal valley and continue on a steady climb to the Titschenwarte, where views of the Latemar and Rosengarten open up. We hike down through the forest to the Schneiderwiesen meadows with the inn of the same name, where we stop for a bite to eat. We then return to Kohlern along a forest path. Immerse yourself in the wonderful world of the honey bee. Together with beekeeper Michael, you will open a beehive at one of his travelling stands, watch the busy bees at work and learn all sorts of interesting facts about them. The tour ends with a tasting of various honey products. Guided vintage & convertible car tours This is not about getting intoxicated on speed – it’s about getting intoxicated on nature! We will take the bus from Nova Ponente (Gibitzplatz) to the Passo Oclini. This yoke is picturesquely situated between the Corno Bianco and the Corno Nero. The Fascinating Vineyard: an exploration of Cortaccia Winery’s diverse vineyard sites, complete with wine tasting. The diversity of Cortaccia Winery’s vineyard sites is unique in South Tyrol. Altitudes ranging from 200 to 900 metres, southeast and southwest exposures, and soils varying from sandy-gravely to rocky to red-clay lend each wine its own individual character. Daily between 10 a.m. -4 p.m. you can visit the mountain pine oil distillery on the Barbianer Alm on the hiking trail no. 15 along the Südtiroler Himmelstour/Cieloronda. Walking time from the mountain station Schwarzseespitze at the Rittner Horn approx. 1.5 hours. Language: German & Italian. You take the cable car Rittner Horn to the Schwarzseespitze. Fresh mountain air and a wonderful panorama await you there. The hike leads over the blooming alpine meadows to the Barbianer Alm. There is the rustic mountain pine oil distillery, where the owner Meinrad Rabensteiner gives an insight into the traditional production of mountain pine and pine oil. The organic product is produced in harmony with nature, fresh needles and twig tips of the mountain pine are collected in summer and processed in a gentle way. In a fantastic mountain scenery and with the smell of mountain pines it is even easier to exhale and relax.

The "Palazzo Alti Comandi" guided tours at the Alpine Troops Headquarters located at Piazza IV Novembre, 6 are back. The tour will show the interior of the building built in the years 1934-35 and the history of the IV Army Corps (IV Corpo d'Armata), which later became Alpine Troops Headquarters (Comando Truppe Alpine). The guided tour is in Italian and completely free of charge for a duration of 45 minutes. Reservations must be made by 11 a.m. on the Friday prior to the visit. The walk leads along the forest path at the Haunold/Baranci valley station in direction of Toblach/Dobbiaco to the source of the Drau/Drava river. From there past the shooting range to the Baumonna farm, where the new bunker museum will be visited. On this easy hike around the so-called sunny village of Terenten, you will discover cultural highlights such as the earth pyramids, the mills or the small St. Margareth chapel and learn many a legendary story. The first stop takes you to the earth pyramids, a natural spectacle that will amaze you with its unique formations. Then visit the ancient mills, which are also the heart of the local culture. Here you will witness the old craftsmanship and listen to the stories of times gone by. The easy hike, which also offers impressive panoramic views, continues to Margen. There you can visit the St. Margareth Chapel. The little church from the 12th century was built on a hill surrounded by nature. After a short breather and picnic break, the tour leads back to the starting point via the biotope. Walking time: approx. 4 h 300 vertical meters 8 km

The show distillery on the Villanderer Alm is open every Monday from the beginning of June to the end of October from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Here you can experience the harvesting and distilling of the mountain pine up close.

From the small village of Verschneid before Mölten, the trail climbs moderately up to the Tschaufenhaus. Continue through beautiful larch forests to the "Gschnofer Stall" alpine pasture. After a stop for refreshments, the pleasant forest trail leads through a larch forest coloured golden yellow in autumn to the Schermoos car park.
