Rangers of Stelvio National Park await you at the Wildlife Observation Place by Lake Zufritt to mediate and observe wild animals together with you. In the evening Red deer, Roe deer, Chamois and, perhaps, even Golden eagles and rare Bearded vultures can be spotted.

We start at the Eggerhof/Schennaberg and hike slightly uphill to the Ifingerhütte at the Lenzeben clearing. From here, we hike through larch forest to the tree line and continue over slightly rocky terrain to the Lauwand weather cross with its great views. On the 22nd of July 2025, the Patronal feast in Honor of Saint Mary Magdalene will take place at 10 a.m. in the idyllic chapel garden of Hocheppan Castle. The solemn Holy Mass will be celebrated by Parish Priest and Dean Mag. Alexander Raich, accompanied by the atmospheric singing of the Men’s Choir of Girlan, which will give the mass a special musical touch. On this festive day, the Romanesque castle chapel opens its doors to all interested visitors from 11 am to 4 pm. Visitors will have the opportunity to admire the impressive and unique Romanesque frescoes that adorn the chapel free of charge. These frescoes are not only a valuable work of art, but also a fascinating testimony to times gone by. Expert guides are on hand to answer your questions and give you detailed information about the castle's architectural and artistic history as well as the exceptionally well-preserved frescoes. This hike leads leisurely along beautiful alpine paths to the Stöfflhütte hut (2057 m). We enjoy marvellous views of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and hear interesting facts about the flora and fauna of the high moor along the way. Route: Kaseregg car park via Trinner Alm on trail no. 15 and no. 1 to the Stöfflhütte hut (refreshment stop), back via trail no. 1. An experience that plunges us into an ancient world that has been kept alive by people who love their land and care for it with tenacity and dedication beyond imagination. You will not only see the farmers at work, but also help take the animals out of the stable and cut the grass with a scythe while listening to the old stories of the farm. Finally, on this historic mountain farm in Badia, you can have lunch the old-fashioned way with historical Ladin recipes prepared on the spot. Delicious! We start at the Haslhof farm above Göflan and hike on leisurely paths through meadows and forests, past the coal fields to the Göflaner Alm, where we stop for a bite to eat. Covelano marble is quarried above this mountain pasture. We then descend to the village of Tarnell above Laas. The bus picks us up again there. The famous Lasa marble, which comes from the same mountain as the Covelano marble, is processed in Lasa. On the tracks of the biathlon elite: Come and experience the excitement of this large sports venue that has already hosted numerous international competitions. Take a closer look at the technical and functional rooms, the entire administration building and the spectator stands in more detail. We tell you exciting stories and give you interesting facts about the Südtirol Arena and not to be missed: we will also take a look at Antholz 2026. A film about biathlon rounds off your knowledge of the sport. Finally you can feel like an elite Biathlete and try out biathlon shooting: put your marksmanship to the test with five shots. Guided tours of the biathlon stadium including biathlon shooting at realistic small-bore conditions are scheduled twice a week from June to October in German and Italian language. Join us on an exciting journey into the world of firefighters in South Tyrol and Alta Badia! Discover their daily work up close by visiting a fire station, where you can observe emergency vehicles, state-of-the-art equipment, and the strategies used to ensure the safety of the community. Through stories from the members of the San Cassiano fire brigade, you will learn about their activities throughout the year and the challenges firefighters face every day, from rescue operations to fire-fighting and civil protection interventions (in Italian language). Lukas became a volunteer at the age of thirteen and has never stopped helping those in need in the valley. On a tour through the colourful garden, you will learn everything you need to know about different cut flowers, their decoration options and how to keep them in a vase for a long time. We will cut seasonal flowers in the field and I will help you create your own bouquet! In between, you can enjoy a sweet snack with farm produce. From the Gigglhirn in St. Walburg/Ultental, we hike along an ascending forest path, accompanied by the rushing of the Wildbach stream, to the Marschnellalm, the highest alpine pasture in the valley. We then hike briefly over steep mountain meadows and a short, easy ridge to reach the Peilstein with its impressive panoramic view of the Ulten mountains. Our fruit farmer will accompany you and tell you everything you need to know about this diverse fruit. As a culinary conclusion, you can expect a tasting of delicious apples and apple juice. Also on the agenda are visits to the mausoleum, old and new Parish Churches and St. Martin’s Chapel. This is then followed by a tour of Schenna Castle for anyone who would like to take part.

During the guided tour of the "Ladinadistillery," visitors will be led through the entire process of creating Ladin distillates, from the careful handpicking of the finest fruits to their transformation into exquisite and velvety grappas. The young and dedicated team will present traditional production methods and explain how high-quality ingredients are turned into liqueurs that enchant the palate. Sonia, a passionate pastry chef from Postal, invites you into her pastry shop. You can watch her at work and give her a hand in the production of homemade ice cream. Sugar and eggs, milk and cream, fruit and flavourings are ready to be transformed into the most delicious of summer creations. With exquisite marzipan, you can shape simple figures. The preparation of filled biscuits concludes your afternoon in Sonia's pastry shop. And as a reward, there's a scoop of your favourite ice cream to enjoy. Have you ever seen the inside of a power station? Did you know how water becomes electricity? In South Tyrol, the Passeiertal Valley and especially the Hinterpasseier Valley is one of the valleys with the most water. For this reason, more than 22 power stations for sustainable energy production have been built in the Hinterpasseier Valley for about a century. One of the oldest is the power station in Rabenstein, which you can visit and explore. The guided tour offers unique insights into the power station and shows how water converted into electricity. The guided tour will be in German and Italian.

The long-awaited summer event begins with the parade of the Colfosco-Corvara Music Band, which marches through the pedestrian area of Corvara, attracting your attention with its music and beautiful traditional costumes. This is followed by the concert of the band with folk and modern melodies in front of the majestic Sassongher, Corvara's iconic mountain, illuminated for the occasion by the Mountain Rescue Aiüt Alpin Alta Badia and the lighthouse of the Corvara fire station. Who knows if you won't see a shooting star next to the illuminated Sassongher… In case of bad weather, the concert of the band will take place at 9.15 p.m. in the Corvara events hall and the illumination of the Sassongher will be cancelled. On August 9, 2025, the South Tyrol CUP of the Volunteer Fire Brigade Youth will stop in Tesido, marking the second of three competition stages. Young firefighting teams will compete with skill, speed, and teamwork to secure victory. Spectators can look forward to an exciting competition day filled with action, modern firefighting technology, and true camaraderie.
