The parish church in Valdaora di Sotto is one of the oldest of the occident. As district from other churches in the surroundings the mother parish church was able to preserve the baroque equipment.

The year of construction of the first church is uncertain, but certainly in the year 1490 it was destroyed by a landslide that destroyed a large part of the village. 1492 another church was rebuilt. Over the centuries this church changed style several times and was also enlarged. In recent times the altar has been modernized with works from the artists Mellauner y Promberger. The church can be visited all year round.

For a long time, the entire religious life of the valley revolved around the church of La Pli/Pieve Marebbe. Once the most important house of prayer in the valley, records state that since the appointment of one Marquardus as the first pastor in 1214, Marebbe has always had its own resident pastor. Records dating back to 1347 list the church as the "parish church of the Virgin Mary of Marebbe".

Today, it is a grand four-naved Baroque church with a particularly beautiful wooden high altar, skilfully carved in Renaissance style in 1636 – at a time when the Black Death raged through the valleys. The centre features a statue of St. Mary of Graces. Both for the population of the Badia valley and many pilgrims from the Pusteria valley, this picturesque temple remains a well-loved and much-visited place of pilgrimage.

The unique play and adventure area covers an area of several hundred square meters and is divided into four play stations for different age groups.

On the path, which is suitable for strollers, you will first encounter the playground, which is especially suitable for children from 1 to 4 years. Continue to the forest playground with a tree house path and various climbing opportunities. After that, the water world awaits you with the undisputed highlight: the 56-meter long super slide - the longest in all of South Tyrol. Finally, the older kids between 8 and 14 can really let off steam on a balance course in the climbing world.

And the parents? They are happy about the unexpected time out, soak up the sun and enjoy the panorama. That's how relaxed a family vacation in Olang/Valdaora can be.

By the way: a visit to the Kids World can be optimally combined with a bike tour. It is located directly on the Pustertal Valley cycle path.

Near the barbecue area you can find the newly designed chill area and a playground for the little ones.

The origin of the church Saint Egidio in Mittelolang date back to the period of the High Middleage. According to an ancient parchmen Viktor Gatterer discovered at the beginning of XIX Century in the parish archive of Niederolang, the church could have be consacrated on the 1st September 1138 by the bischof of Briexn Rembert to the Holy Trinity, the Victorious Cross and to the disciple Egidio. One of the fourteen aukiliary saints, Egidio was evoked from shepherd and hunters to be wokshipped as patron saint of livestock and plauge.

The church is build in Gothic style and is dedicated to St.Nikolaus.
The church is located in Issing/Issengo.

Welcome at the tree nursery Obojes! We are the highest tree nursery in Europe, we are situated at an height of 1050m and this is the reason why by us you will find the strongest plants, carefully choosen to resist the cold alpine weather.

In the sport park of Riscone there is also an animal park with deer, rabbits, ducks, peacocks and goats. There is no direct access, but you can watch the animals from behind the gate.

At the edge of the forest of Valdaora, a little above the village, lies a special place. One that makes children's hearts beat faster and parents spend relaxing moments.

The Kids Area Panorama is a real snow paradise for children.

Three magic carpets, a children's ski slope, a toboggan run, a tubing slope and a ice skating rink ensure lots of fun and a fun time out in the snow.

Tubes, toboggans, Swiss Bobs and sliding boards can be rented directly at the Kids Area and are included in the entry price! Skates can also be rented and are free for owners of the South Tyrol Guest Pass.

At the facility, which is specially designed for families, little ski novices can also gain their first experience on the slopes. Qualified ski instructors offer lessons and playfully teach the little ones their first skillful turns.

A great place to spend a few hours of family time without much effort - toboggans and slides can be rented on site - and a good alternative when the weather up on the mountain isn't just perfect.

This irregular building shows that the church was built in different periods, from the 13th to the 16th century. In the church stands the famous "Madonna with the infant Jesus holding grapes" by Michael Pacher. In the attached Egererkapelle, frescos from the Michael Pacher school.

The old Lippa sawmill from the 19th century is located in Oberolang, in an easily accessible location in the immediate vicinity of the Val Pusteria cycle path and the Olang nature and culture trail. It is the last remaining Venetian sawmill, which was restored and put back into operation in 2011 after it was last used in 1958. It is a unique testimony to the history of the Val Pusteria timber industry.

The Parish Church Saint Cyriak was originally a gothic building. In 1851 the church was newly build (consecration in 1854).

Our Cafe offers a wide selection: We serve good South Tyrolean wines as well as local and international spirits. In addition, we also have ice cream and various sweet and spicy snacks for the small appetite in between. To our house belong also four modern, fully electronic Bowling alleys. They invite you to a sporty and social pastime and can be booked at any time. You do not need special shoes, but sneakers are better. Your physical well-being is of course taken care of - you get all the drinks and snacks that we offer in the cafe.

The butcher´s shop Poernbacher in Olang is led now by its 3rd generation. The art of butcher is a family tradition. Since the foundation in 1946 of the family business by Karl Poernbacher near the train station in Olang, the name of Poernbacher is a guarantee for all the meat products. In year 1971 his son Oswald Poernbacher went on with his fatjer business and moved the shop right in the center of Olang near kronplaty. That strategic position helped in the business and increased the profit and the productivity. Since 2001 also Oswald Poernbacher´s son Alexander begun to work as butcher and works nowaday as manager of the production. Since then are working there also two professional butchers and produce the specialties that are available to be sold. Our products are made in the same way since 3 generations.

Built around the year 1000, strictly linked with the history of St. Lorenzen and the central Pustertal.

Nowadays is the Castle Michelsburg privately owned.

The chapel is reminiscent of the famous freedom fighter Peter Sigmayr. The Tharerwirt was shot 1810 from the Frenchmen near the Baumgartner farm.

Freshness and excellent quality of the product are the main aspects of the wide range of products at butcher´s Mair in Olang. As guarantee of the quality we have the following motto: "You don´t sell what you don´t know". A wider production wouldn´t allow our experts to keep our quality standards of productions and would compromise the quality.

The late gothic church in Oberolang was consecrated by Bishop Albertin in 1472. Around 1650 the church was renovated changed into baroque style. The actual appearance of the church is neo-Gothic (about 1900). Especially at the inside the church underwent a consistent change. In 1899/1900 architect Roman Picher took care of the renovation. The stoned glass was made in a Tyrolean Glass factory in Innsbruck. The wood work was completed by Jakob Veider from Niederrasen.

The church in Haselried was first recorded in 1436. The Church is build in a late Gothic style.
