The Schermoos parkplace is your starting point. Follow trail no. 17 to come to Wetterkreuz walking by Möltner Jöchl. From here, follow trail no. 15 until you reach the Sattlerhütte mountain refuge and come back to your starting point on trail no. 17 or 17a. Duration of the excursion: 4 hours - Drop/rise: 350 m

The Hoch-Tirol long-distance trail consists of three stages. It joins Prettau/Predoi, located at the end of the Ahrntal valley, with Prägraten am Großvendiger in Eastern Tirol. The South Tyrolean part of the trail crosses the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park, while the East Tirolean stretch crosses the Hohe Tauern National Park. The 27,9-km trail boasts 1490 hm ascent and 1000 hm descent in South Tyrol.  

The Castle trail „Castelronda“ is about 20 km long and connects the castles and ruins of Bolzano, San Genesio and Terlano: Castle Roncolo/Runkelstein, Castle Rafenstein, Castle Grifo/Greifenstein (vulg. also called Castello del Porco, which means „Pork Castle“), Ruin Helfenberg and Castle Neuhaus (also called Maultasch). The efforts of hikers will be fully satisfied with magnificent views over the most beautiful castles and ruins of the region, in the middle of the nature.

 Trilingual information pillars near the castles and ruins will inform your whole family of interesting history facts and entertaining tips.  

The hikes on the „Castelronda/Burgenweg“ trail are especialliy recommended in spring, autumn and winter.

This tranquil hike on the plateau of the Alpe di Siusi offers the opportunity to immerse oneself in the beauty of nature and enjoy a day in good company. During the walk, you can admire a breathtaking landscape, with stunning views of the Sassolungo group, the Sella group, and the Sciliar.

Explore the natural beauty along the Troi Paian, the first trade route in Val Gardena. This hike will take you through picturesque forest trails from Furnes to St. Peter and Laion. Immerse yourself in the pristine nature and enjoy the tranquility along this historic path.

The Tomanegger restaurant is your starting point. Follow trail no. 30 on the Salten an walk on along trail no. 6/12B, until you reach the Gschnofer Stall restaurant. From here, follow trails no. 7a and 7, and then trail no. 10 to come back to Wirtshof and trail no. 30 to come back to your starting point. Duration of the excursion: 3 hours - Drop/rise 313 m

The tour to the Stegeralm hut (open also in winter) is a highlight for every snowshoe hiking fan. Enjoy the stunning view of the mountains of the Ahrntal valley!

This pleasant roundtrip hike brings you to paces with stunning vistas of beautiful landscapes.

Hike through the breathtaking views of the Seiser Alm, suitable for the whole family. The trail is easily walkable and takes you first to the Sanon Hut via the Schgaguler Hut. The return is via the Contrin Hut until you reach the Mont Seuc mountain station again.

The “Stoanerne Mandln“ stone men are located atop a remarkable knoll on Alpine pasture and tower at an elevation of 2,000 metres. Human figures made of stone such as these can also be found in other parts of South Tyrol: they served as a landmark frequently or were simply built by shepherds to pass the time.

You hike through the beautiful natural landscape of the Eggental Valley and take a journey through our solar system - the Planet Path makes it possible! This special hike brings you closer to the fascinating vastness of the universe. 

Starting from our star, the sun, which can be seen on the wall of the observatory, you will find all 8 planets of our solar system as well as the dwarf planet Pluto at their true-to-scale distance from the sun. Every step you take corresponds to about 1 million kilometres. And yet you will be travelling for almost 3 hours until you have visited all the planets. 
At each station, you will learn exciting facts about the celestial bodies and their unique characteristics.

The Planet Path is not only an adventure for anyone interested in astronomy, but also for nature lovers who want to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the South Tyrolean landscape.
The route is easy to walk and takes you through idyllic forests, over gentle hills and along vantage points that offer you ever-changing views of the mountains. 

There are no refreshment stops along the way. However, at the start and end of this hike you will find the Unteregger inn, which will spoil you with South Tyrolean specialities.

The Palusc track is the perfect choice for hobby cross-country skiers. The beautiful track leads gently up and down until reaching the sunny Palusc meadow. Due to unusually mild temperatures, were called for closed the Palusc variant trail and the trail from "Palusc" to "la Buja".

Enjoy the silence in the nature of the Ahrntal valley while snowshoe hiking on puffy snow pillows. 

The tour to the Moaralm hut (not hosted) lies on the sunny side of the Ahrntal valley.

The sledding track Tristenbach in Weißenbach/Rio bianco is an adventure for everyone. With a length of 4,5 km and assured snow, the well prepared natural track serpentines its way through snowy forests to three sunny huts:

Kasern/Casere - Hochwieser Alm - Biotope Wieser Werfa - Waldner See/lake - Kasern/Casere

We move through an area of small streams, mountain rivers and moraines („Wieser Werfa” und “Wieser Moos”) and mountain lakes (Waldner See). At the same time we enjoy panoramic views of the glaciated world of the „Hohe Tauern” mountains as well as the dark peaks of the “Durreck Group“, a core landscape of the Nature Park “Rieserferner-Ahrn”. Historical pathways across the „Hundskehle” tell of former close contacts with the neighbouring people in “Zillertal” valley.

Accompanied by the undescribable view of the surrounding mountains of the Seiser Alm, this trip is an ideal destination for people in wheelchairs.

The varied circular tour leads to the two alpine pastures high above Fiè and impresses with the nearby rock faces of the Sciliar and Hammerwand.

The newly-opened "Knottnkino³" circuit trail connects the three red porphyry rocks of Vöran. Starting from the Burgstall-Vöran upper cableway station, the trail leads to the three panoramic landmarks of Vöran: the Rotstein, Beimstein and Timpfler Knott.

The ski area Rosskopf / Monte Cavallo is situated only few minutes away from the historical towncentre of Sterzing / Vipiteno in South Tyrol. On the "sunny terrace" of Sterzing, visitors enjoy spectacular panoramic views that reach all the way to the Dolomites. 

In winter, in addition to 20 km of sunny slopes for skiing, beautifull winter hiking trails and long toboggan rides await you all winter long. The Rosskof run is Italy’s longest illuminated and artificial snow covered toboggan trail. Off the slopes you will find various idyllic cozy mountain huts and shelters with great culinary dishes, influenced by the Austrian and Italian cuisine. 

In summer the Rosskopf offers a great pasture landscapes and beautiful hiking trails and a few adventurous attractions for all ages. The new summer highlight is the "Rosskopf Panorama Mountain Coaster," the new summer toboggan run.

The Oclini Pass offers a wide range of beginner, intermediate and advanced trails with stunning views of the Schwarzhorn and Weißhorn, while the nearby Passo Lavazè (1800 m) is also home to a number of trails leading through forests, across snowy plains and into the Fiemme Valley.

Atop San Vigilio Mountain, you can get close to nature on a wonderfully quiet winter hike without seeing a single car: for a change, why not strap on some snow shoes? From the summit station, you can either strap on your snowshoes and follow Trail no. 34 or take the chair lift higher. From the Sessellift Tavern, you can visit the delightful little Church of San Vigilio, then continue on to the Gasthof Seespitz inn to the protected habitat of the Schwarze Lacke, or Black Lake, where people delight in curling and ice skating on the frozen lake. Trail no. 7 takes you back to the chair lift or more experienced snowshoe hikers can follow the more demanding Trail no. 9 to the summit of Guardia Alta/Hochwart Mountain at an elevation of 2,607 metres.

This easy to moderate circular trail starts in die Sportsarea Grube and goes through the Pfitschtal Alpine valley at the foot of the Zillertal Alps in two loops, and is a real insiders' tip due to its idyllic location and guaranteed snow. The trail is perfect for both classic and skating-style cross-country skiing and is prepared daily.

The Völser Aicha Höfeweg farm trail is a beautiful hiking route through ancient farmsteads, mountain restaurants, vineyards and chestnut groves. This trail can be seen in all its glorious beauty in springtime when the mountain meadows are blossoming all around, and in autumn when the trees are decked in vibrant hues.

At Castle Prösels, you can take a trip back into the Middle Ages on a guided tour of the   Knights’ Hall, the castle chapel and other parts of the Renaissance castle and grounds.

Classic or skating – glide along the Sun Trail Kasern/Casere through the winter landscape

Experience the winter magic on the Sun Trail Kasern/Casere, where you can glide along snow-sure trails from December to beginning/mid-April, surrounded by a majestic winter landscape. This cross-country ski trail, nestled in the sunny mountain village of Kasern/Casere, offers an unforgettable backdrop for your winter sports adventures.

With a length of 3 to 10 km and three different variants – easy, medium, and difficult – the Sun Trail Kasern/Casere is suitable for all ages and skill levels. The trails can be combined flexibly, allowing you to enjoy a personalized experience in this unique natural setting.

Perfect for cross-country skiing enthusiasts – discover the beauty of the winter landscape on the Sun Trail Kasern/Casere!

This easy and impressive circular hike is especially recommended due to the panoramic views to the Rosengarten, Schlern and Latemar mountains and the Alps. The hike can be combined with a visit at St. Helen chruch, which is famous for its high-Gothic frescoes. These mural paintings are amongst the most precious local examples of the High Gothic period. The church is open all year round. Just in front of the church, at the "Buschenschank" Kreuzhof, the visitors can taste typical south-tyrolean food.

This theme trail connects the two star villages of Gummer | S. Valentino and Steinegg | Collepietra. On this varied hike, you can dive into the secrets of the starry sky and the universe together with our mascot LUXI at 7 different stations.
Through an oversized old camera at the beginning of the trail, you start or zoom yourself directly into the universe, so to speak. On the way, you will test a date sundial and a rotating star map, pass the observatory and solar observatory, learn how to orientate yourself in the night sky, children can let off steam in the rocket tree house and finally you will end up at the Mini Star Trail in Steinegg | Collepietra, which is illuminated in the evening in the correct colours of the respective stars.

This circular trail takes you on a journey into the fascinating world of bees. Along the family-friendly path, differnt stations bring the connection between bees, forests, and humans to life. The trail winds through dense woodlands and blooming meadows, always accompanied by the hum of these busy pollinators.

A special highlight is the Beekeeping House, where you can take a close look at the bustling activity inside a beehive through an observation comb. See firsthand how bees work, communicate, and produce honey – a unique insight into their incredible world.

A hands-on experience for all ages, offering knowledge and a deep connection to nature.

Starting point: Small car park (1920m) at the end of the road to Rojen/Schöneben. Descent: along the ascent route Notes: In good conditions and with a sensible choice of route, the tour does not present any particular difficulties. Avoid at all costs in unfavourable visibility conditions (orientation difficulties!) Ascent: On the right side of the valley, the route is initially rather flat, heading south-westwards. Before you come to a collection of idyllic mountain barns, you climb over the gentle slopes of the mountain meadows, keeping slightly to the right, before ascending to the right over an almost treeless ridge. The first slope is a little steep and requires caution, then continue over the ridge until you reach the Wetterkreuz cross south of the Inn. Nockenkopf (up to here the tour corresponds to that to the Inner Nockenkopf). Continue westwards over gentle hollows. At first glance, the destination is not yet clearly recognisable, but as the ascent progresses, everything becomes clearer. A little caution is required on the last summit slope, which is negotiated from left to right. Further ascent: You can also continue further into the valley and follow the first section of the route to the Grionkopf, then, always skilfully avoiding steep slopes and V-slopes, turn right up towards Grionplotten.

The tour to the idyllic Latemar hut / Rif. Torre di Pisa at an altitude of 2,671 meters above sea-level is a special experience. This deman-ding but well-secured mountain hiking trail will take you into the heart of the Dolomites World Heritage Site. You will be rewarded with views that are breath-taking to say the least. The Oberholz hut at the mountain station acts as starting point of the hike. With its modern architecture, unique location and 360° panoramic terrace, the Oberholz hut is a true highlight.
