Itinerary

The Seiser Alm cable car starts from Ortisei to the beautiful high plateau of the Seiser Alm at an altitude of 2,005 metres. The starting point of this trip, is the mountain station of the Ortisei - Alpe di Siusi cable car. From the mountain station, follow on the left side path no. 9, to the mountain hut Schgaguler Schwaige and on to the Hotel Sole. From there you can enjoy a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. There are a total of 118 metres in altitude in descend and finally in ascent. From Hotel Sole, the same path leads back to the starting point.

Safety instructions

The paths are partly asphalted, partly gravelled, some parts are flat, others uphill.
There is a total of 118 metres of ascent and descent to manage.
Note the opening times of the Seiser Alm cable car, especially for the return journey.

Equipment

Water-resistant hiking shoes.
Comfortable, warm clothing suitable for the outdoor temperature.

Tip

Wheelchair users should always be accompanied by someone, to get quickly helped in case of difficulties.

Public transport

Accessible by the bus line 350 from Bolzano or 360 from Bressanone to the S. Antonio square. Accessible by the bus line 172 from Castelrotto to the S. Antonio square.
Accessible by the bus line 351 from Chiusa, Laion, S. Pietro to the S. Antonio square.

Possibility to park in the disable parking places in town (free of charge), at the valley station of the Alpe di Siusi cable car (chargeable) or in the parking house Central (chargeable).
