Dive into the various strawberry varieties of the Val Martello and learn fascinating facts about strawberries and their taste during the tasting with the expert from Laimburg.

At the beginning of July, the Val Senales will host the international bow-making symposium. On five afternoons, the organizers invite you to live demonstrations at the archeoParc archery range. At the same time, anyone who is interested can peek over the shoulder of the bow makers at work in the “Open Workshop”.

Immerse yourself into the world of strawberries and explore the South Tyrolean Strawberry Trail during a guided tour. Your guide will give you interesting information about this popular fruit, Val Martello as well as customs and traditions of the berry valley.

As soon as you arrive, at the starting point in front of the tower in Resia Lake, you will learn more about the tragic history of the lake damming. The route then takes you up the hill to St. Anna's Church and on to the Upper Vinschgau Valley Museum. The museum provides information about the destruction and reconstruction of the villages of Curon and Resia in an extensive photo documentation. The exhibition also presents sacred artefacts as well as historical objects from everyday farming life in the past. You will then travel by public transport to Resia. Here you have free time for lunch or to explore the village until 3:00pm. From the Resia sports ground, the tour continues to the Bunker at the Source of the Adige River no. 20, where you will learn about the history of the construction and use of the bunkers of the Alpine Wall around the Resia Pass. This is followed by a visit to the source of the Adige, the second longest river in Italy. The journey by public transport and food are not included in the price. Our tour begins with a ride on the cable car to the Grawand at 3,212 metres. From here, we reach the Iceman Ötzi Peak viewing platform and a unique work of art by Olafur Eliasson. During the descent along the glacier, with views of turquoise glacial lakes, we learn a lot of historical facts about the construction of the cable car to the Grawand, which was opened 50 years ago. The descent finally ends at the Teufelsegg hut, from where we take the Roter Kofel chairlift back down to the valley in comfort. The Ötzi Glacier Tour is an extremely varied one day round tour, which crosses the main chain oft the Alps. It takes place every Tuesday and upon request. The undisputed highlight of this accompanied glacier trekking tour is the discovery site of Ötzi the Iceman (3,210 m). Starting from Kurzras. From the mountain terminal of the Glacier Cable Car, we will travel over the Hochjochferner (2,800 m/9,186 ft.) to the Schwarze Wand and on to the Hauslabjoch (3,280 m./10,761 ft.) We will then descend to the Tisenjoch (3,210 m/10,532 ft.), the site where Ötzi was discovered. Return to the Similaun Refunge in the early afternoon. We will then descend through the Tisen Valley to Vernagt (1,700 m./5,577 ft.) Return to Kurzras. The Stelvio Pass gives its name to the Stelvio National Park. To mark the anniversary, you can enjoy the view of the highest section of the historic pass road and learn about some aspects of its history during a guided hike along the Signalkopfsteig trail from Franzenshöhe to the Stelvio Pass. The Stelvio Pass road was built between 1820 and 1825 by order of the Austrian Emperor Franz I in order to create a fast connection to Lombardy, which at the time, like South Tyrol, belonged to Austria. After its inauguration, sections at high risk of avalanches were secured with wooden avalanche protection tunnels. Until the middle of the 19th century, the pass road was even open in winter and could be travelled on horse-drawn sleighs. We start together with our guide at the biathlon center Grogg. Along a wonderful landscape and take the road until you reach the mighty dam wall. Push your bike across the 83m-high dam wall of Lake Gioveretto and continue along the lake shore. Then we take the asphalt road again to proceed with the last 450 meters in altitude. After a few turns turn right in the left-hand turn before the parking in Alta Val Martello and take the forest road towards the Lyfi mountain hut. You reach your worthwhile destination after a few short ups and downs.

Musical theater piece with historical facts from the exciting history of the Allerengelberg monastery on the village square in Karthaus/Certosa. The local theater Schnals, the church choir Schnals, the music bands Katharinaberg and Schnals as well as the elementary school of the valley and many volunteers are involved in this joint project. On this exciting adventure hike with the Stelvio miller and his Nörggele, you will learn about the life of the miller and his mill. Accompanied by legends and various games about the mill, you will learn about the processing of the grain through to the finished bread. Route: The meeting point is the parking lot at the fishing lake in Stilfs, from where we will travel by private car to the Faslar farms. Under the professional guidance of a state-certified mountain guide you learn the abc of climbing at the Marchegg climbing garden. Equipment is provided free of charge. You only need to bring trekking shoes or runners and comfortable clothing. Food and drinks are available in the Marchegghof tavern nearby. The Larix via ferrata is an action-packed family via ferrata at the end of the Schnalstal Valley. This unique via ferrata with many rope bridges, two sky ladders and a tyrolienne (a type of rope slide) leads up along a waterfall from Kurzras towards the Teufelsegg hut, where you can stop for a bite to eat. The ‘Alpin Trail’ adventure hiking trail runs parallel to this. These two routes cross each other several times and can be used to get out at any time. Families can therefore start together, some via the action-packed via ferrata and others via the challenging ‘Alpin Trail’ hiking trail. Explore the Bio Kandlwaalhof in Laas together with the Luggin family, where excellent, high-quality fruits and herbs ripen at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level and in a balanced climate. During a guided tour of the orchards, you will gain an interesting insight into organic apple cultivation. Afterwards, you can taste lovingly crafted products such as apple juice, dried fruit, vinegar, and mustard.

Trace the events of the war in ice and snow on a circular hike to the sites of the Ortler-Cevedale front in the rear Val Martello. Duration: approx. 7h, walking time 5h, ascent 600 metres in altitude

Our trekking guide Florian will start with you from the meeting point at the parking lot in Upper Martelly Valley to an eventful day through the wonderful panoramic world of the National Park. Together with our llama boys Giacomo, Rocky, Rono, Rambo, Casper and Winnetou, who carry your backpacks in the pack saddle, Florian will lead you to the most beautiful places with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. As a certified hiking guide, he will introduce you to the local flora and fauna. Through the spotting scope you may even be able to observe some wild animals, such as deer, chamois and marmots, and thus be almost as close to them as to the national park llamas, whose soothing tranquility will make you feel calm and balanced. We will stop at one of the most beautiful view points, while you will strengthen yourself with a snack of local products from the national park and enjoy the surrounding nature. Via the Panorama Trail we return to the starting point. Another route leads us to the Lyfialm (alping pasture) with its centuries-old primeval larches on the sunny side of the Martell Valley and right to the llama enclosure, the summer quarters of the animals in Thial, nearby the biathlon center. The Reschenseelauf / Giro Lago di Resia: a running experience like no other! On 12 July 2025, the picturesque Lake Reschen will be transformed into a spectacular running track. With almost 4,000 participants, the Reschenseelauf / Giro Lago di Resia is one of the biggest running events in the Alps. The 15.2km course offers breathtaking views of the largest artificial lake in South Tyrol and the majestic mountains surrounding the Ortles. Runners, Nordic walkers, handicapped and children are divided into different categories and receive a fantastic starter pack including refreshments, lunch and a free massage. At the finish line everyone gets a finisher gift and a certificate. 2025 will be a very special year for the Reschenseelauf / Giro Lago di Resia: To celebrate its 25th anniversary, there will be a spectacular night run! The race won't start at 17:00 as usual, but at 21:30 in front of the historic church tower. Over 1,000 torches will light up the track around the lake.
