Adventure trip to Lake Resia with a visit to the Upper Vinschgau Valley Museum and the source bunker of the Adige River
from
center
As soon as you arrive, at the starting point in front of the tower in Resia Lake, you will learn more about the tragic history of the lake damming. The route then takes you up the hill to St. Anna's Church and on to the Upper Vinschgau Valley Museum. The museum provides information about the destruction and reconstruction of the villages of Curon and Resia in an extensive photo documentation. The exhibition also presents sacred artefacts as well as historical objects from everyday farming life in the past.
You will then travel by public transport to Resia. Here you have free time for lunch or to explore the village until 3:00pm.
From the Resia sports ground, the tour continues to the Bunker at the Source of the Adige River no. 20, where you will learn about the history of the construction and use of the bunkers of the Alpine Wall around the Resia Pass. This is followed by a visit to the source of the Adige, the second longest river in Italy.
The journey by public transport and food are not included in the price.
