Under the motto "Lights-Smells-Sounds" the Advent market will finally take place again in Glurns.
Time for contemplation and culinary highlights.
With the medieval backdrop and the romantic alleys of the town, this Advent market is unique. It is characterized by contemplative and musical moments with brass groups and choirs. More than 45 merchants offer their self-produced and handcrafted goods.
There will alsobe pre-Christmas crafts, fairy tales and Punch and Judy shows for children.
The gastronomic stalls spoil the visitors with culinary delights and warm drinks.

Producers from the area offer their local and handmade products for tasting and for sale. Seasonal fruits and vegetables, bread, meat and sausage products, honey and jams, Liquors and juices, wood carvings and much more are offered.

Immerse yourselves in the peaceful winter landscape around Prad and discover the extraordinary open-air studio of Lorenz Kuntner, known as the Indian of Prad.

Every Sunday during winter, he opens his world and invites you to experience his art, nature, and spirituality up close.

Among painted stones, antlers, totem poles, wood, and found objects, art and nature merge into a truly unique experience.

There’s no fixed program – Lorenz Kuntner is simply there: to be seen, to inspire wonder, and to meet people.

You can ask him questions, explore his works, or watch his creative process.

A place for genuine encounters, quiet inspiration, and personal connection.

Cross-Country Skiing Taster Course at the Biathlon Center Martell Set amidst the winter landscape of the Stelvio National Park, the Biathlon Center Martell offers the perfect backdrop to get started with cross-country skiing. In this taster course, you'll learn the basics of classic cross-country skiing from qualified instructors – on perfectly groomed trails and in the fresh mountain air. Whether you're a beginner or returning to the sport, it’s all about enjoying nature. Experience the beauty of winter in Langtaufers with our cross-country skiing course for beginners, offered from December to March.
This course is perfect for anyone who wants to learn the basics of classic cross-country skiing in a breathtaking mountain setting.

Important:
Price for Reschensee Guest Pass holders: €35 per person (ticket included).
The Reschensee Guest Pass must be presented at the start of the course.

Every Wednesday between 8.30 am to 12.30 am, the pedestrian zone and Peter-Glückh-Platz in Malles/Mals bustle with activity. Fresh local produce, such as fruit, berries and vegetables, cheeses, bacon and bread types, jam, vinegar, juices and herbal teas, are always available for sale at the market. There are also craft and handicraft products made of stone, wood or felt for sale, as well as textiles, leather goods, plants, and equipment of all kinds for house and garden. From June to September, the market is held together with the farmers' market in the pedestrian zone, where producers from the area offer bacon and cheese, fruit and vegetables. The surrounding guesthouses and restaurants offer special dishes to the respective market focus.

Note: The hike is only in German and Italian. Accompanied by our mountain guide, we head from the Mastaun farmstead (1,640 m) along the stream into the Mastaun valley. After passing the Mastaun alpine hut (1,810 m), the tour heads into the rear part of the valley up to an altitude of approximately 2,000 m. During a pleasant rest, you can enjoy the tranquillity of nature and the quiet winter idyll. Afterwards, you return to the meeting point. Walking time: approx. 4-5 hours including breaks. Height difference: approx. 400 -500 m uphill and downhill (approx. 6 km). Meeting point: 10.30 a.m. at the park area at Madonna di Senales. Minimum number of participants: 2 persons. During a guided tour, you’ll discover Alpine, root, and oriental nativity scenes, as well as many other beautifully handcrafted works – each with its own unique story to tell. The tour also offers interesting insights into the founding of the Nativity Association and the history of the museum.

Experience an unforgettable winter walk with Michael and his friendly alpacas through the quiet, snow-covered Talai Forest. Along stroller-friendly and easy winter paths, this approx. 1.5-hour tour leads you gently through the sparkling winter landscape. A special adventure for the whole family, perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy the animals, the fresh mountain air, and the magical atmosphere of a winter forest.
Children aged 14 and above may guide an alpaca on their own, even in winter.

Experience an easy snowshoe hike in the snow-covered Rojen Valley, ideal for beginners. Enjoy the peaceful winter landscape with professional guidance, followed by a stop at the Rojen ski hut.

Important: After registering online, please bring the money in cash to the event or pay directly at the tourist office in Reschen or St. Valentin.

Note: The hike is only in German and Italian. Ski tour for beginners and slightly advanced skiers accompanied by a mountain guide. Descent on skis from the mountain station Grawand to an altitude of around 2,700 meters. From this point you start the ascent in the open terrain, which, depending on the conditions, brings the group to 3,100 m (glacier terrain). After a short rest, a descent in soft powder awaits you. The prepared valley run takes you back to the starting point of the tour to Maso Corto/Kurzras. In the case of bad weather, the tour will start from Maso Corto/Kurzras. Duration of the tour approx. 5-6 hours Difference in altitude: around 500 m in ascent Number of participants: minimum 2 persons Requirements: good skier on the slopes in good physical condition

Cozy get-together with mulled wine and hot drinks in the so-called "Winterwold" in Morter.

Experience a magical winter adventure on snowshoes in the Reschensee Holiday Region. Together with a professional guide, you will explore different scenic routes chosen according to weather, snow conditions and hours of sunlight – for example in Langtaufers, Rojen or other beautiful areas around Lake Reschen.

The hike is suitable for beginners and slightly experienced participants and leads through snow-covered forests, open winter landscapes and quiet sunlit paths. Your guide provides safety, regional insights and information about the surrounding nature. A short break or refreshment stop can be included depending on the chosen route.

IMPORTANT: After registering online, please bring the participation fee in cash to the event or pay directly at the Tourist Office in Reschen or St. Valentin.
The exact meeting point and route will be personally communicated after registration.

Guided tour through the Etschquell Bunker No. 20, including information about the history, construction, and use of the Alpine Wall bunker systems around the Reschen Pass. Afterwards, visit the source of the Adige River, the second-longest river in Italy.

Group ascent with the Schnalstal Valley Glacier Cable Car to 3,200 metres. We’ll cross the Hochjochferner accompanied by a mountain guide, experience the glacier in all its beauty, and learn many interesting and historical things. At the end of the glacier there is an ice cave at 2,800 m. After exploring the cave and taking a rest in this solitary alpine world, the path continues to the Schöne Aussicht Refuge and afterwards we descend to the Teufelsegghütte Mountain Hut. The Roter Kofel chair lift brings us back to Maso Corto/Kurzras around 3:30 p.m. Walking time: approx. 5-6 hours including breaks Difference in altitude: around 300 m in the ascent and 1,000 m in the descent (about 8 km distance) Number of participants: minimum 2 people (participation from 14 years) Requirement: good physical condition

The weekly market takes place on the Lacus place in Laces. There you will find regional products, fruit and vegetables as well as clothing.

Experience an exceptional culinary event at the Schönebenhütte: at Taste the Peak, top South Tyrolean wineries meet creative cuisine and uplifting music.

Our special guest, chef Thomas Ortler, will prepare refined appetizers and main courses together with the Schöneben team. A selection of wines from South Tyrolean producers will be served – perfect for everyone who appreciates flavour and regional quality.

Musical highlights come from Markus Gimbel and David Frank, and the evening continues with an afterparty at Sciuri by the valley station.

The Coppa Italia Cross-Country Skiing event is coming to Schlinig this winter! The competition will take place from December 13th to December 14th, 2025, at the Schlinig Cross-Country Ski Centre. Sat, 13.12.2025 – Prologue Free Technique 2.5 / 3.3 km Sun, 14.12.2025 – Pursuit Classic 7.5 / 10 km All participants who want to qualify for the European Cup will take part in this race. Around 200 athletes will take part in these races. All sports fans are of course welcome to come and watch!

On December 13th and 14th, Schlanders transforms into a sparkling Christmas village full of lights, joy, and pre-Christmas atmosphere. The annual Christmas market will also take place.

Hobby artists and craftsmen from Vinschgau, as well as local and Italian producers, will offer handmade gift ideas, traditional crafts, and local products.

A special highlight: "Spielvolk"!
The magically glowing figures on stilts bring Christmas magic directly to the streets of Schlanders with their imaginative performance, enchanting both young and old – an experience you shouldn’t miss!

In addition, many exciting activities await you:
a craft workshop at the base location, fairy tale storytelling at Damml, and a Christmas picture treasure hunt (starting December 9th), where you can collect your reward on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the village square.

Shops in Schlanders will also be open on Saturday and Sunday, both in the morning and afternoon – perfect for festive Christmas shopping accompanied by Christmas lights and sounds.

Coppa Italia at the Grogg Biathlon Centre in Martelltal. A sprint race will be held on Saturday, 13 December 2025, and a pursuit race on Sunday, 14 December 2025. Approximately 180 athletes from all over Italy will compete. Start times are yet to be announced.

Drawing - The Mals Christmas lottery The Malser Christmas lottery is a campaign organised by the merchants and businesses of the municipality of Mals. Everyone who makes a purchase worth more than €10.00 in one of the participating businesses in the municipality between 1 and 30 December will receive a ticket for the chance to win great prizes! The first prize draw will take place on 19 December 2025 as part of the "Mitnond" event at 7 p.m. The grand prize draw will then take place on 31 December at 11 a.m. on the main square in Mals! This winter, the Watles adventure mountain once again invites you to enjoy sporty and culinary adventures at 2,000 metres! All this awaits you at the toboggan evenings on the Watles Adventure Mountain. The Watles toboggan piste is illuminated on these evenings from 7 - 11 pm! You can whizz down the piste several times! The Plantapatsch hut is open for you during the night tobogganing and will spoil you with hot drinks and good food. Be part of it!
