Venosta hobby artists and craftsmen as well as local and Italian producers offer handmade gift ideas, traditional crafts and local products. The romantic weekend in the heart of Silandro is surrounded by Christmas sounds. In the shops you will find special offers and the restaurants spoil you with traditional and local delicacies.

The Coppa Italia in cross-country skiing is coming to Schlinig this winter! From 14.12. to 15.12. 2024 this competition will take place at the cross-country skiing centre in Schlinig. Sat. 14.12.2024 - Sprint classic Sun. 15.12.2024 - 10 km free technique All participants who want to qualify for the European Cup will take part in this race. Around 200 athletes will take part in these races. All sports fans are of course welcome to come and watch!

Entstanden im neuen Jahrtausend aus dem musikbegeisterten Restbestand des ehemaligen Stadtposaunenchors (gegründet 1896) setzte die BRASS BAND WINTERTHUR zur Offensive an und spielt mit rund 38 Band Mitgliedern hochwertige Musik in und um die Heimat Schweiz.

All this awaits you at the ski touring and snowshoe evening on Watles Adventure Mountain. Sports enthusiasts can trudge up the designated trails on touring skis or snowshoes to the Höfer Alm alpine pasture, where hot drinks and good food await them afterwards. Be part of the fun! "herawärts" is a small children's flea market, accompanied by brass music. December 21 is synonymous with hope. The days stretch, the sun feels stronger. We humans want light, warmth, confidence. The shops are open from 8-12 am & 3-6 pm.

On December 21 and 22, 2024, the international sled dog race will once again take place in Langtaufers. The starting signal will be given on Saturday at 10 a.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m. directly at the start and finish area in Melag. The award ceremony will take place on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The participants, known as mushers, come from South Tyrol, the rest of Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, and other European countries. The organizers — FSV Lucky Sleddog Club South Tyrol, the Reschenpass holiday region, and ASV Vinschger Oberland — are hoping for a total of 100 dog teams. Registration for the race is already open. The following categories will compete: skijoring with 1–2 dogs, and sled teams with 2 to 12 dogs. Depending on the size of the team, the course lengths will vary: 6.5 km, 9 km, 15 km, and 18 km. Participants and organizers are looking forward to welcoming many spectators along the high-altitude trail in Langtaufers.
