This hike is made for old and young and offers for everyone something to discover. You walk in a wounderful ambiente trough green meadows along beautiful woods.

Your first aiming point, maso Bacherhof, lies in a quiet and sunny destination and is perfect for families with children. Not only farm products are offered, but as well a playground for children, opportunities to ride a horse and many other animals...a paradise for children.

The church St. Ulrich was built in romanesque style and restored in 1859. The altarpiece of Saint Bishop Ulrich was made by painter Psenner of Ums. Here, as well as in albergo St. Ulrich, hikers enjoy a great view on the surrounding mountains. Relaxation, a children´s playground and a good dinner are waiting for you.

The farmhouse Bacherhof is locadet in the middle of nature and is ideal for families with children. Even the possibility of horseriding is waiting for you.

Mölten is embedded in mountain meadows and oriented towards the sun and the mountain Tschögglberg. It is centrally located and only a short drive away from Meran and Bozen.

A beautiful trail leads through the various landscapes of Mölten .

Walk from Schermoos over the Möltner Joch to the Möltner Kaser. From here you can visit the famous Omini di Pietra, where you can enjoy a wonderful view on the surrounding mountains. Finally, you will continue and cross the Auenjoch via large meadows and finally reach the Kreuzjoch. The long path is rewarded here with an excellent panorama. An interesting panorama map tells you which mountains you are looking at.

Mölten, a village above Bozen, is embedded in the mountain meadows of one of the most beautiful plateaus in South Tyrol. It's the quiet center of this plateau called Tschögglberg at an altitude of 1,140 m. This place is definitely one of the most beautiful regions of South Tyrol with its wide high-level surfaces and invites the visitor to a relaxing hike.

The hike through meadows and forests from Mölten to Hafling is wonderful. The panorama is a pleasure for every hiker.

The guest house is located in Verschneid, above the main road. At the traditional Albergo Kreuzweg relaxing and enjoyable hours are waiting for you. The arromatic mixture of spicy South Tyrolean food and of light mediterranean dishes is framed by cordial hospitality. From the traditional "Jausenbrettl" with Speck, over plates with Kanederli or asparagus dishes, to cakes made of buckwheat - the restaurant shows South Tyrol from a traditional side. Only fresh and regional products are used. The menu depends on the seasons.

The romanesque church St.Jakob on the Langfenn is positioned on the most visible and on the highest point of the Salto (1525m). The church stands on prehistoric ground and could tell us probabely many interesting and exciting historical things. On the altar we can see Saint Jakob, the protector of all hikers, and on his side the two Patrons of the pest, Rochus and Sebastian..

Enjoy the sun and fill up on vitamin D. A leisurely hike across the beautiful Salten.

Starting at the Reinswald cable car valley station, the prepared winter hiking trail first leads along the ski slope up to the Sunnolm mountain restaurant. After a short, steep ascent from the Sunnolm, winter hikers can then look forward to continuing on a well-appointed, natural forest trail which winds its way uphill until just before the Pichlbergalm Alpine farm (cable car mountain station). From the Pichlbergalm head east to the sunny Latschensteig trail (part of the Urlesteig trail – the nature experience in the Sarntal valley) at the foot of the Blankenhörndl mountain. Continue until you reach the Getrumalm Alpine farm (staffed; at the beginning and towards the end of the winter season, ask about opening times at the valley station). At the Getrumalm a wide forest road leads down to the car park at the Reinswald ski area valley station.

Tip: a limited number of sledges for a descent into the valley can be hired at the Getrumalm and returned at the ski rental at the valley station.

The round trail Simml is a small circular route situated above the village of San Genesio, with duration approx. 1 hour. 

This trail isn't suitable for prams. 

Mölten, a village close to the mountain Tschögglberg above Boozen, is embedded in the mountain meadows of one of the most beautiful plateaus in South Tyrol.

The hike is beautiful for every on and the ambience is very variable. On the Möltner Kaser the panorama is breathtaking.

At St. Ulrich you will find a small romanesque church and a great panoramic view on the surrounding mountains is waiting for you. The church St. Ulrich was restored in 1859 and the altar picture of the Saint Bishop Ulrich was made by the painter Psenner Ulrich from Ums. 

Also in the guesthouse St. Ulrich wich lies directly by the church, you will find a stunning view, relaxation, good and typical food and a playground for the little ones.

From the Schermoos parking place, walk along the E5 European long-distance walking trail until you reach the Möltner Kaser restaurant/mountain hut. Keep on walking along trail no. 23A until you reach the famous "Men of Stone" with its amazing view on the Dolomites. On your way back, follow the path no. 23 and no.5 to reach the Jenesier Jöchl pastures.
From the pastures, go on along trail no. 5 until you reach the parking Schermoos. Walking hours around 5 hours- Drop/rise 730 m

Follow the E5 European long-distance trail or trail no. 1 and stop at the Gschnofer Stall restaurant. From here, walk along to Tomanegger and come back to the point of departure. Duration of the excursion: 3 hours - Drop/rise: 360 m

Experience the outdoors with all your senses on an excursion for the entire family! Fun, games and adventure are guaranteed! The Urlesteig trail gets its name from the Urlelockn ponds, the geological heart of South Tyrol. Six themed areas are laid out along the trail: Water, Animals, History & Culture, Plants, Forces of Nature and Alpine Pasture.

Along the way there are 12 stations, which were designed by the pupils of the local primary school. There are lots of small master pieces which were smoothly integrated into the landscape of the Salten high plateau. Each station tells you about a local fairy tale from the area of San Genesio. The stories and fairy tales about witches and similar legendary creatures have always excited the fantasy of children and adults alike. Examples of the many exciting stories are the explanation why the Castle Greifenstein is always called ”Sauerschloss“, the fairy tale of the sunken city, the endless ball of threads, the butter witch of Afing, how the Castle of Greifenstein got its name, the captured mermaid, and many more. Starting from the village center of Avigna, follow the indication of path no.27 „Putenkreuz“
towards maso „Rohrwieserhof“ and maso „Perkmannshof“. From there, follow
the indication of „Rundweg Schwarzegg“ and keep always to the right towards Avigna.

The deep snow-covered forests and paths on the Möltner Joch offer time and tranquillity to hike in unspoilt nature - a ramble through nature with overwhelming views.

Challenging hike from Vilpian to Schlaneid.
You hike past several farms, cross the suspension bridge over the Mölten stream and continue hiking to the Schlaneid mountain station. Enjoy the view over the Etschtal valley.

If you want to make your day even more romantic, decide for a winter hike for young and old. Where there were wide meadows in spring, summer and autumn, wide white snowfields spread out now. Enjoy a white and quiet Meltina!

The first destination, the Bacherhof, is situated in a quiet location and is ideal for families with children.

The church of St. Ulrich was built in Romanesque style and was rebuilt in 1859. Here, hikers enjoy a great view of the surrounding white mountains.

The Lingeralm is situated above Mölten, in the middle of the sunny highplateau. The Lingeralm offers a beautiful panoramic view over the surrounding mountains and tipical south tyrolean dishes, cakes, as well as small plates. For little children there is a small playground with a swing. The bigger guests awaits a large sun terrace.

A short hike to the symbol of Laives/Leifers with panoramic sight on Laives/Leifers and the Bassa Atesina/Unterland valley.

During this hike, you will walk through the wide meadows of the highplateau Salto, lined with larch forests.

The malga Gschnoferstall is verry well and quiet located. At the hut, you will be served with delicious and typical South Tyrolean dishes, which invite you to sample.

The restaurant Lanzenschuster serves hearty home-made South Tyrolean specialities with regional products and home made products, like strudel with apple or chees. During the summer often barbeques and live music are waiting for you, and for children a playground and a petting zoo are offered.

Sarner Scharte, Sarentino/Sarnthein’s local mountain, is a ridge which extends from the frazione of Ponticino/Bundschen to the frazione of San Martino/Reinswald.
