A short hike to the symbol of Laives/Leifers with panoramic sight on Laives/Leifers and the Bassa Atesina/Unterland valley.
Walk along Via Pietralba passing the church, until you reach the "Haus Emmaus". From there take pilgrimage trail no. 1 towards Madonna di Pietralba/Maria Weißenstein. After approx. 20 min you reach the chapel of St. Peter, the symbol of Laives/Leifers. To return, you have to take the same path.
Make sure you wear sturdy walking shoes as the route is steep and stony at the beginning.
Arrival by public transport from Bolzano/Bozen: by bus with the lines 110, 111 or 112 until the bus stop "Laives Centro/Leifers Zentrum" (approx. 30 min.).
Arrival by public transport from the south: take bus line 120 to the bus stop "Laives Centro/Leifers Zentrum".
