Circular hike below the Rosengarten. The “Kaiserstein”, a very special vantage point with a splendid view of the mountain massive Catinaccio/Rosengarten and the legendary “Frin” meadows with 360° mountain panorama make this hike a very special experience.
Easy hike for the whole family on scenic mountain trails. The highlight of the entire route is a visit to the Christomannos Monument -a bronze eagle, which was built in honor of the tourism pioneer Theodor Christomannos. From there you have a wonderful view over the Val di Fassa and the Val d'Ega as far as the Latemar group.
“Exciting path to the discovery of the amazing life of the bees”. The Bee Trail, which clearly demonstrates the significance of the bee, can be hiked and explored in the middle of nature with a magnificent view of the Rosengarten and the Dolomites. Children and adults can experience the exciting life in the forest with lots of useful information about this exciting habitat. In the apiary and all the way will accompany our bee Sabine, the mascot.
In 1494, the famous German artist Albrecht Dürer travelled for the first time to Italy. His final destination was Venice. Because of the flooded Adige valley, he had to bypass from the cloister St. Florian in Egna/Neumarkt to Buchholz/Pochi. During his stay in the Segonzano Castle, he created a few of his most important watercolors.
A Part of the path is accessible today.
Starting from the pilgrims hospice “Klösterle” in St. Florian, the hiking path number 8 leads to Laag/Laghetti. From here to Buchholz/ Pochi we pass the famous “roman” bridge. To Garbe and Laag and back to Klösterle, you have to leave the Dürerweg just before the village of Buchholz and follow trail no. 3.
This leisurely hike leads below the Catinaccio/Rosengarten on a pleasant trail through forest and flowering mountain meadows to the Ochsenhütte hut. Homemade South Tyrolean specialities and delicious cakes can be enjoyed on the beautiful sun terrace with mountain views, while the children let off steam on the playground.
This gorgeous panorama path leads above the village Nova Levante to the Pension Erna and it's a perfect family walk.
A total of 9 stations along the panoramic path explain facts about the village Welschnofen, their history and tradition and the nature in the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites. Numerous benches invite you to relax and to enjoy the tranquility and fresh mountain air.
Lots of highlights of the star village Steinegg/Collepietra can be discovered on this varied & family-friendly hike also during the wintermonths, such as an open-air exhibition at Pstosser Bühl, the Mountain Cinema near the Biohotel Steineggerhof, the small chapel "Weisses Bild" and the rocket tree house for children in the forest experience zone Öl.
