Walk through one of the most beautiful moorlands of the Eastern Alps - from Sambergerhof to Rinderplatz hut andGasser hut.

From the center you walk over the Andreas bridge to Seebegg and Dürer stone, where Albrecht Dürer in the 14th century has made a sketch of the city ​​, which he used as background for his engraving "Nemesis- das große Glück". From here follow the first mark 5 to the village Albion, then the path number 10 until Ansitz Fonteklaus and finally the footpath no. 4 to Gufidaun. From there the trail no. 7 leads to Klausen.

From the church in Raas, walk along the paved road to Elvas. Here the hiking path starts that leads right down to Kranebitt and past Stufels all the way on the same trail no. 2, from Raas down to Brixen. You have the option of returning by bus.

Hike on old haymaking paths to the Lüsen Alps.

Before motorization an road construction, the hay harvest from the alpine pastures in winter was brought to the valley with sledges. The hike leads from the Lüsnerhof tot he left of the stream on the farm track uphill. At the edge of the forest the road through the forest goes left to the farmhouse of the Gargitthof. Below the farmhouse there is a nice resting place witha wonderful panoramic view. The way back goes from the rest area over the path tot he forest road and back to Lüsen Rungg.

Hike from Skihütte to the Rossalm mountain pasture and the Großer Gabler summit on the Plose (2,575 m). Early risers or not, most people wish to experience the magic moment of sunrise, basking under the first rays of the new day on a mountaintop. With the sun rising on the Dolomite peaks of the Geisler Group, the Aferer Geisler and the Peitlerkofel, there’s no doubt that getting up early was well worth the effort.

This extended circuit along the Archeopfad Archaeological Trail leads from Brixen/Bressanone through the vineyards and fruit farms to the Natz-Schabs/Naz-Sciaves plateau, covered in apple orchards. Passing two natural biotopes, the scenic trail runs from the northernmost vineyards in South Tyrol as far as the Augustinian Canons Monastery of Neustift/Novacella before returning to Brixen. This all-encompassing trail passes through some of the most beautiful cultural landscapes in South Tyrol.

The Ywein Trail is a family-friendly themed path in Rodeneck that takes young and old on a journey through the story of Knight Ywein. The trail is stroller-accessible and follows a gentle path through an enchanted forest directly to the impressive Rodenegg Castle. Along the way, you’ll encounter magic stones and story panels that bring Ywein’s adventures to life in a playful and engaging manner.

At Rodenegg Castle, you’ll discover a special highlight: the Ywein Frescoes. These remarkable Romanesque wall paintings are the oldest secular artworks in the German-speaking world, illustrating the dramatic tale of Knight Ywein in an artistic way. Check the castle's opening hours to ensure you can view the frescoes during your visit.

Walking time: approx. 30 minutes

The “Birmehl” trail begins in the village centre of Verdings and leads through the arid meadows of the southern side of the church hill down to the hamlet of Pardell and from there up to the beautifully situated Moar zu Viersch farm. An old cobblestone path takes you back to your set-off point.

A vigorous hike across lush meadows, through pine forests to the Villanderer Alm. From the top of the Villanderer Berg mountain there’s a spectacular view of the Totensee lake.

Snowshoeing or ski tour on the Alp of Lüsen and Rodeneck, across the Alpine Hut Starkenfeldhütte until the Astjoch

We wander on the path nr. 6 past the lodge Pfroderalm to the chapel “Totenkirchl”. We follow the way nr. 16 to arrive at the lodge Stöfflhütte. Then we follow the trial nr. 15 past the lodge “Marzunerschupfe (ca. 5 min away from the trial nr. 15) and the lodge Mair in Plun to get back to the starting point.

From the parking area Saltnerstein (Gasserhütte) on Stöfflhütte and Latzfonser Cross (highestpilgrimage site in Europe) to the summit of Kassianspitze in the Sarntal Alps.

A short walk to the district of Sauders and back. We start from the centre of Villanders and take the path of the chestnuts "Keschtnweg" to Sauders. There it is worthwhile to visit the little baroque church of Saint Moritz. We wander back to the village on the Kirchsteig.
