Circular hike through one of the most beautiful moorland areas in the Eastern Alps – from Sambergerhof to the Rinderplatz Hut and the Gasser Hut.

 
Itinerary
The hike starts at Sambergerhof and follows the so-called Senior Trail (no. 21A) to the junction with the old Waalweg irrigation path (no. 22). We follow it until it meets trail no. 23. Continuing on trail 23, we then turn left onto the Sam circular route (no. 24). This leads past the Rinderplatz Hut to the Gasser Hut. The return is via trail no. 20.

Directions
In Villanders, first follow the signs to the Villanders Alp (turn right at the DESPAR). After about 15 minutes of driving, you reach a small parking area next to the Sambergerhof Hotel.
